powerpoint file association

Dear all,
After installing a pdf viewer, my powerpoint file association became corrupted. I'm trying to use PocketTweak to restore it, but I'm having a bit of difficulty. Could someone please tell me the correct application path to use? I've tried "ppt.exe %1" and a few derivatives, but it keeps opening the powerpoint main menu where you can select a file to open, and not open the file I clicked on itself.
Thank-you very much for your help,
Kindest regards,
Shahid

Is that from the dialog box of Opera 9.5 saving a file? If so, it does that to zips and exes and similar files... Save the file and then browse to it in any file explorer... If it's not, I'm clueless but have a bump

Someone PLEASE help me

Yes, I am a beginner with windows mobile as i came from iphone OS and most recently Blackberry OS. Im having a difficult time trying to install the .CAB files. How on earth do I do this? I downloaded BsB tweaks and i extracted it to my desktop then i dragged the folder to my storage card and when i goto file explorer on my phone, i click it and there is like 5-6 different files in there, i clicked setup and it opens a blank webpage in opera. i know this is not correct because when i searched youtube videos on how to install a .CAB file the people have ONE file in thier extracted folder and it actually says. (filename.CAB), how come my folders have many differnt files and not one that actually says .cab in it? please help me!
Dont extract the cab file on your pc. Put the cab file on the phone and run it from there. Then just follow the on screen instructions.

Wow, that was so simple, thank you so much. I was confused about extracting it or not because when i seen the youtube videos they were extracting it, but thank you again!

I use Universal Extractor. it's free and can extract from any kind of file. It appears in the right click
Thanks mate, I tried using Universal Extractor on a hotfix file, for example, Messaging fix LEO08007-07.exe and got a folder full of unknown files like "MESSAG~1.011" etc. all numbered but not really usable. I got the same thing when using 7-Zip. Can you help? Am I missing something?
Many thanks in advance

there should be an xml file in there, with the correct name of the files.
Use that to work out what to rename the files manually.

Hello, my name is Joe. I need a little help with running the downloaded files directly from the HTC HD2. I have downloaded various applications from the forum, and coppied them to the Micro SD card like asked. When I go onto the file/folder on the HD2, and try to tap on it to start the install, I get redirected to the web browser.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

Dude,
Give an example of what you have tried to install and what file format it was when you downloaded it.
Most are .cab files and install just by clicking them in file manager
I have downloaded:
26. 4 column start menu
BsB Tweaks 1.6
cleanRAM
KeypldLedControl_v0.4
Personalizer_2.0
TorchButton_v2.3
I have extracted the files on my PC via WinRAR, Then placed the extracted folders directly onto the MicroSD root. Most of the files appear something a little like this: '0CAB18A7.005' Or something varied like that. On Windows the setup file is recognized as an XML document, and the others end in numbers. Like: '001, 002, 003 etc.
Cheers
You've extracted cab files haven't you?
Don't do that. Just copy the cab files to your phone or SD and run them directly.
Sent from my HD2 using XDA App
If I don't extract, the files will then be in ZIP format. Is this what has to be done?

It's a fake zip file. in reality it's a cab file.
Cab files are self installing files.
so conclusion, don't extract them.
I ****ing love you guys!
