As said probably yes , but i think its actually stupid. like why not buy an Nexus 4 \ Nexus 5 for a cheaper price and already have a native android?

Definetly yes. The Jolla phone uses Android compatible hardware, which can be 'talked' to using Jolla's libhybris and the bootloader can be unlocked via the Recovery menu.

[Q] [General Question] well, Can we get Win mobile 7 on T-mobile G2 ?

well,
was just thinking about it. is that possible ? i mean is g2 is capable of running win7 on it ? it would be a good test no ?
No source code = not likely.
Means bad news!?
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using XDA App
seems like an interesting idea. ive been asking about getting the win7phone keyboard onto the g2 but having the entire OS seems like a cool option to have.
if we had the source code could it be possible?
I ran xdandroid on my touch pro 2 via sd of course. Liked android so much I bought the G2. I know if I wanted WM7, I would just go buy it. Its cool and all to have dual os on your phone but it can be a pain sometimes. Not everything works on port and if it does, its not 100%.

The big difference there, though, is that Android has publicly-available source code. WM7 doesn't.

co-sign.. but im not sure on buying a WP7 device (they are nice tho).. reason is, i want a primary Android phone.
...
So you bought an android phone to use winmo 7...
I doubt it unless someone wants to spend a lot of free time reverse enginggering the whole OS. Plus it'll be buggy as ****, most drivers won't work, etc, etc.
It's like iOS, it's possible but it's close to impossible.

Self contradiction heh?
On a side note, how about Meego on an Android phone? Isn't that open-source? Any group working on porting that to any non-supported devices?
Before you ask me why I wan't Meego, the answer is: just for the heck of it

Close to impossible is still possible
This question seems to get asked for every phone and the answer is always the same. It is possible to flash [android/windows mobile 7/windows mobile 5/ios/meego] on an [android/windows mobile 7/windows mobile 5/ios/meego] phone. The thing necessary is someone or group of someones with the technical wherewithal and desire to do it. In most cases there is not enough benefit for such a group to form though.
So yes it is possible (though difficult) to create a ROM for <insert embedded OS of choice> to run on the G2 but it probably will not happen. And when you get a new device and wonder this question again refer to the answer above.

im also very interested as to which phones will be supported...but not only that but how easy will it be to get your device supported...im over in Asia and there aren't variants that aren't well supported by the major custom rom developers like AOKP, CM, Panandroid....which makes it really hard and sucks to get in on the "open source" goodness...i hope Omni is easy to bring to a large selection of phones...
EDIT: ok, well that makes sense the vanilla versions...just hope its easier to get more on board...

Asian phones implying mediatek based? There are a few commits in Gerrit to add support for them, but I think it's still not usable. They'll do their best
As for not being supported. Unfortunately it's down to getting a device maintainer. There will be guides posted no doubt, and this is xda. Basically a massive manual on hacking android

If you can get AOSP to run on your device, you should be able to get Omni to run. Currently, a device tree needs nothing significant beyond an AOSP tree (I think about 3 lines of changes to make an AOSP tree work in Omni). This means work on porting Omni is helpful to those wanting AOSP as well.

Mediatek chips will most likely end up supported. I understand that most projects eschew them through a lack of sources etc, but we intend to do what we can with them, as they offer interesting opportunities including multi-SIM support to say the least.

Unfortunately the amount of carrier interference on many US phones makes them less fun for anyone wanting custom ROMs If you can get the SIM-free international model, that often helps, but that's obviously not possible with Verizon...

[WP8.1] Windows Phone 8.1 port for the M7

Hi guys,
May most of u read about the HTC W8 from evleaks. I dont know if its true but lets say there will be a W8 with the same Hardware specs as the M8 would it then maybe be possible to port WP8 to the M8 and from that base to the M7?
Just an idea...what u think about?
Cheers Naily

I have to say, when I saw that device too I was thinking if it was able to be ported to the M8.
That would be very cool

a very experienced dev on hd2, sir Cotulla from DFT, was working on a custom bootloader for m7 (magldr) which makes multiple os boot possible, in particular he was trying to port win 8 RT (he wasn't much interested on WP)
this could be a good news for him

overall talking about the windows phone and not about lumias.
wp8 devices(samsung and huawei) have been jailbroken which is called interlop unlock.
also lumia 520 has been interlop unlocked using j-tag. so it is highly possible that other lumias may follow soon.
I would love to have a lumia 9xx dualbooting wp8 and android..but i am actually a student and cant afford a new phone so my hope is in the wp8.1 port for my beloved m7 btw to the guy 2 posts above me...: nice typo

I usually just port Custom Rom's to devices. Not really port I guess, just have to change the device tree. Do a little bit of kernel stuff to.
I don't consider myself a dev, but I will be getting one of these, once the "Sand" version is available.
I am wondering how much more difficult everything is going to be between Lollipop/SELinux and 64-bit capability.
This will be my first Nexus device as well - closest I've had up to now is running GPE on my M8.
