I've been wondering the same thing!! Why are there no CM 11 builds at all? Its kind of frustrating, but at least we have kitkat

i think this is the exact reason - we have an up2date, well running rom without bloatware. so there is no direct need, and the only advantage would be more features.

I don't have a Tegra Note 7.
But if its Stock with no bloat,
Maybe try installing xposed framework and the Gravity Box module.
Bring the custom ROM 'goodys' to Stock.

Nexus 4 Galaxy S4

Hi there I have a Nexus 4 , but before I had a Samsung Galaxy S3 , I kinda miss the Touchwizz features and apps
So I wanted to ask if is there any dev who want to try port Touchwiz Framework to Nexus 4!
This way we could have almost a Galaxy S4 with less resolution !
Your asking in vain here.
I've done two Samsung cross ports. Not doing it again. I'm retired

You want touch wiz that bad, go get a s4.
No way man! You definitely bought the wrong phone!
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
this has been asked close to a million times. Simple answer is YES. YOU CAN DO IT BUT NO. NO ONE WOULD DO IT BECAUSE IT'S EXTREMELY HARD.
Someone likes Touchwiz? Blimey there is a sentence i never thought i would hear!

And, evidently, Taylor Swift. Unless, of course, you are Taylor Swift. Which would be weird. And also brilliant.

First why would you even want TouchWiz? I mean... nothing beats the slick look of a clean nexus
But I've read a topic about this I think, is this what you're looking for? Do note that you need CM for this to work
Enjoy

Nope, he wants the app and the framework and everything else. Not just the theme.

Then sorry to say but it's just a cheapass who buys a Nexus in the hope to get the same thing as a device nearly double in price...
And then still, TouchWiz, rly :/ Personally I'd go for the theme cause... you can delete a theme
Also there are rumors a Samsung s4 google edition will come. That's the s4 shipped with stock Android .

Not likely possible as if someone wants stock android, they'll flash a custom ROM. (A custom ROM close to stock android).
Let's not talk about rumors anymore. Today is the I/O so let's wait what Google is going to tell us later today.

Should I put CyanogenMod on my Nexus 4?

Hi, I'm new to the rooting/android community and I'm wondering if it is worth it to try out CyanogenMod... What are the pros and con's?
Thanks

More features. Possible* better battery.. There is so much and there's more than CM to try out
Sent from my Dirty-Trinity-Unicorn'd Nexus⁴
Yes.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Yeah, there are more features and probably better performance/battery. You could start out with the RC5 build since it is the most stable and updated build but generally the nightly builds are pretty stable with minor bugs too. Personally, I prefer AOSPA since it has very innovative features that make my phone that much more unique :]
If you don't like it you can flash another Rom or go back to stock. You'll probably end up trying different roms and finding out what you like.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
sure man. couldnt hurt to learn a bit about your phone in the process as well
just dont be stuck with cm. its not the only stable rom, and it is definitely not the most stable so dont worry about having to just play it safe with cm.
Try PACman Rom, has Cyanogenmod, AOKP and Paranoid Android, the top 3 roms in my opinion. this way you can see all the features and then flash the rom you like the most or stick to it...whatever floats your boat

if you are satisfied with stock then No , if you feel some features that you would use are missing then go for it.
as for battery life, from my own experience, stock was the best option for me so far.
Use Carbon instead. Has the features CM has but a lot more. Nav width/height adjustment is a must for me. CM doesnt have that and wont put it in.

Is the N1 ColorOS coming to Find 5?

Hey guys.. The new color rom ui looks beautiful and fresh on the n1..just wondering would it be coming to the find 5 sometime?
I think sooner or later it will, color rom is already available for find 5 on the oppo forums, don't know if it's the same or a different version of color rom.
My guess is it will be the same ROM

if it isn't.... with oppo's track record on new-ROM creation, think the ColorOS for N1 will be stable, or beta-ware?
To be honest that's a great question. Firmware has gotten much better and continues to get better but can it be labeled "stable" with the amount of errors and problems some users are having... ? Not sure lol.. Hopefully stable
Sent from my Find 5 using Tapatalk 4
I'd rather see a ROM from CM with all the "features" such as Dirac audio and a fully featured camera app working.
The ColorOS got ported to htc one.. Seems like it can be ported to any phone with a base like miui.. Wow!

I would expect this to be the next beta rom from oppo. They need to update there gpu drivers as the framerate is a bit funny but after I installed them it was fine.

Nope because it is so bad that I flashed AOKP 4.3 again. It is like latest Color ROM V1.01.
I thought they'll be using the same rom on all theire devices with, of course, device specific changes?
It is the same OS, just a little make-over
