Is the N1 ColorOS coming to Find 5? - Oppo Find 5

Hey guys.. The new color rom ui looks beautiful and fresh on the n1..just wondering would it be coming to the find 5 sometime?

I think sooner or later it will, color rom is already available for find 5 on the oppo forums, don't know if it's the same or a different version of color rom.

My guess is it will be the same ROM

if it isn't.... with oppo's track record on new-ROM creation, think the ColorOS for N1 will be stable, or beta-ware?

To be honest that's a great question. Firmware has gotten much better and continues to get better but can it be labeled "stable" with the amount of errors and problems some users are having... ? Not sure lol.. Hopefully stable

I'd rather see a ROM from CM with all the "features" such as Dirac audio and a fully featured camera app working.

The ColorOS got ported to htc one.. Seems like it can be ported to any phone with a base like miui.. Wow!

Yes it is im running it now. You can get it on oppos Chinese forums. I have to remove a load of chinese bloatware and install gapps but other than that its a nice cleaner looking feel.

I would expect this to be the next beta rom from oppo. They need to update there gpu drivers as the framerate is a bit funny but after I installed them it was fine.

How bad is bad? Can you show us a screenshot of your battery consumption?

Nope because it is so bad that I flashed AOKP 4.3 again. It is like latest Color ROM V1.01.

I thought they'll be using the same rom on all theire devices with, of course, device specific changes?

It is the same OS, just a little make-over

Cool but rom seems very buggy and premature yet.
Very glad to see this finally come to AOSP and can't wait to see where it goes.
I'll have to follow it. Have you used it yet?

Hi, yes, I use the ROM. It's actually not buggy at all!
There are not many features yet, but it is stable and fast.
I love multi-windows but I think it could be improved with two things: 1) panel resizing, 2) both panels active at the same time.
Try it!
MultiWindows, here we come!
Would love to see a short, simple video of this ROM in action!

And until it does have both panels active at the same time, I don't find it any more useful than just stock multitasking.

Exactly why I never use it. It was great on my Inspire 4G (Desire HD) though. Really kept me from throwing that phone a number of a times.

Foxhound port to SM-n900A, gauging interest!

I have permission to port FoxHound from the International forums to our phone just like we did for X note.
I am currently working on my own MJ5 based rom, but could put this together if there is enough interest.

Up to you, it's your time you're investing. It looks like if you run aosp theme on xnote they even look the same. I think maybe xnote actually has more features with xnote control. Let the people decide I suppose, but for me it wouldn't be worth the time plus watching 2 threads for basically the same rom.
I have decided not to release this rom. It is not stable on my device and if i need to concentrate efforts to make it run, i would rather put my energy towards my rom that i am building.
I do apologize for the false hope, but i refuse to put something out that does not work as expected. Anyways, thanks for everyones attention!

I have decided against it as i am building an ML2 rom to compete with it.

Looking for a new rom as a daily driver

I've grown bored of CM, Slim, and Paranoid Android, so I'm looking for an interesting rom, my main stipulation is the source has to be out there so I can go and look around in it (and likely build it since I'm weird like that), MIUI looks interesting, but I'm still looking to see if the source is out there.
So I'm looking for input, does anyone have any suggestions of a ROM I can take, build and customize my own version of and use as my main rom?
I don't believe MIUI releases source code.
And essentially any AOSP ROM that has a repo can easily be built. I used AICP to build from its repo and it worked fine. Customizing has different meanings to everyone.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
I though miui was closed source not positive on that but either way its awesome ROM if you find anything good please share I was looking for something like MokeOS (sp?)
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
For what its worth I use and reccomend F2FS version of Carbon ROM, but it maybe too similar to CM,Slim,PA for you.
Found a good one I can work with, tried it in the past, at the time it was a bit much, anyway, it's PACman, I did like some of the things they did with it.
I suggest liquid smooth. Its super fast and there are a ton of built in customizations. And about the coolest boot animation I've ever seen

Why would anyone recommend miui. It looks like iOS lol go buy a damn iPhone
I recommend slimrom. Smooth, fast and stable.

Paranoid Android 6.0.1
Let's keep it short and simple: This one's for the dreamers longing for bug fixes. A lot of bug fixes and support for some awesome devices!...
For Nexus, the most important changes are the inclusion of June Security bulletin and Theme Engine updates. The bundled Browser application has been updated as well and all system update notifications will now come from us, and not from Google as it did for some specific users on the last release....

Enviado desde mi Nexus 5X mediante Tapatalk
Got it all up and flashed and running... Doing really good so far! Battery seems pretty decent (even for the first two hours), and the experience has been really smooth so far. Stoked to let it run for a while and see how it pans out over time. I'm liking it overall, though. Definitely give it a go. Only thing is, it's on the May update instead of June, but that's really no big deal at all.
Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
just flashing now
Is their kernel decent enough or should I just flash Phasma or elementalX?
Flashed, practically 0 personalization, just inmersive mode, battery percent, reorganiable quicksettings and peek for notifications, but seems to be runnig great so far on mako. When they update to June security patch I'll flash it on bullhead.
Btw very interested o battery life, so I'll be keeping an eye on your impressions with that
