[Q] Hi, I just changed my phone to note3, and I want to root my phone. - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi. As I said in the title, I've just changed my phone to samsung galaxy note3, but I'm not sure how to root this phone cuz I used to use a galaxy s2 before I changed my phone. ps. I live in South Korea and I'm using a Korean galaxy note3 ( sm-n900s)
The things I want to ask you guys are these
1. How do I root this?
2. Is there any custom roms that can be installed on the note3 jellybean 4.3?
3. When I root this device, does something happens to the knox warranty thing? When I searched a Korean developer forum, they said if I root this device, the knox warranty will be broken so you'll not be able to get free a/s.
4. Is the way of installing roms on note3 same as the way of galaxy s2?
5. Is it ok to install non-korean roms on my note3?
Thanks.

Of course - you'll trip KNOX 0x0 -> 0x1 and void your warranty

One piece of advice I will give you. Read until your eyes burn and you know everything that goes wrong/can go wrong and how to fix it if it does go wrong.

Go to Note 3 Android Development session, there's plenty of custom ROMs option there... Enjoy your root!

[Q] Note 3 neo sm-n7505

Hello,
I have a question.
I have my note 3 for a couple of days. It is my first android device. (always used apple)
I Read something about a knox code. That will trip when I root my device.
Is that true, or is there a workaround?
Also, I read somewhere that KitKat was released for the note 3 neo (sm-n7505)
But no ota..
If I install the official rom of KitKat, will that also trip my knox?
I hope someone can help me with this

You don't have an international Note 3 device, you have a Neo variant which has it's own dedicated forums here.

[Q] Knox Root & Custom ROM

I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S4 i9505 - 16 GB White.
I also recently found that if I root it and install a custom ROM the knox will activate and I will lose my warranty....
Is there any way I can root it and install a custom ROM without activating the knox and losing the warranty?
I had a HTC Desire... but i'm totally newbie with this phone.

[Q] finding knox in note 4!

Hi,
I recently purchased a new samsung note 4. I tried to access the knox but not able to find it. In the settings menu-about device, i am finding the knox version as 2.2 but not able to find in the phone. My note 4 model is SM-N910G. Please let me know the solution.
Thanks,
Sha
You can download the Knox app from the Samsung app store I believe. The knox version in phone status refers to the portion of Knox in firmware.

[Q] Knox / Root Questions

Hello all,
New Note 3 user but have rooted Droid1 and Nexus in the past. I am a little confused with the Note3 because I have read about tripping "knox" and do not want to void the warranty. Is knox tripped on the phone itself or do the results get sent somewhere else? Also, what is the best thread/guide to start for someone who wants to root the device for superuser only, not interested in customization. On version 4.4.2 - Verizon
Thanks!
Take a look in mi theard
