My 12in monster - Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 General

Just picked this bad boy up with the zagg keyboard and a bluetooth mouse. Really excited!!!

How about give us a review and some pics, thanks.

Nice tab. Very massive. It's hard to handle while laying in bed. I really do like the blue tooth keyboard and mouse option. Magazine ux is pretty nice, it still has standard tw, the magazine ux is located as pages on your homescreen.you ca n add or delete magazine pages to your liking. Very snappy, doesn't really feel any faster or slower than my note 3. Note sure about battery yet, haven't had it long enough. Love the full size virtual ke H board but only practical if the tab laying on a surface opposed to holding it, where a thumb keyboard my be more practical. A bit heavy, but feels well made heavy not outdated heavy.Sound is not gonna blow u away, but decent enough. 2 speakers located om each side of tab. Got a 32gb, with a 64gb sd card so memory I'd just fine. I don't really like the notification drawer being in the center of the screen. I prefer the aosp style with 2 drop downs on each half of screen. Picture is gorgeus! Overall great tablet, not sure it's worth the price tag, if u an live without spen, the tab pro 10.1 at S499 makes a little more sense...

I'm debating this tablet. I really would like a 12in tablet. I have a N10 and want to make sure this is a very noticeable step up in performance. My biggest gripe with the N10 is that web browsing and scrolling could be faster. I want iPad Air browsing speed in a Android tablet. Are the new Samsung tabs the answer? Willing to hold out another 6 months if needed as I really hate the Samsung physical home button!

Where did you pick up the Zagg Keyboard? They had a display model at BestBuy but none in stock or even order-able! This thing is too massive to sit and hold. Having trouble with finding a good case as well. Otherwise, Im in love with it. The stock keyboard is sick!! As well as the mult-window mini-keyboard. I want a port a keyboard port for my Note 3. Otherwise this is my fav of all my many devices.

I didn't like the Magazine UI so now running Nova launcher. I don't think it is too large in bed but I guess that's subjective. That's what she said...

I'm guessing it's this one: http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/model/LC.KBD0A.014 since the OP is purposefully being vague.
Definitely some issues with functionality. BT connects fine, but there are several dedicated function buttons that don't work at all or don't work as they are labeled.
Browser button doesn't open default browser, same for mail, camera, and music. The forward button opens Winamp??? The lock button does not wake and unlock as the manual says. All the essential keys work correctly including the arrows, tabs, etc.
But if you are just using this to type, it is great. The keys are well-sized and have a solid action. Makes me think that I could leave the laptop at home on a business trip.
EDIT: Sorry to be vague about the model, I didn't know that there were other Acer BT keyboards options.

It looks very nice, but what is this about some keys not working correctly.
That is not really very good, coming from the manufacturer of the tablet and functionality not right?
As said it looks good and I wouldnt mind one, but I think for the price it should do what it says on the tin or no good.
Just my two cents...

Looks too much like an Apple product (eww).
Apple keyboards are the biggest proof of the stupid public buying into Apple's garbage. It's the cheapest junk to make and the chiclet keys are so awful that companies tried them originally years ago, but the public felt they were too cheap and didn't feel good. Apple slaps their logo on it and people buy that junk.
I bought my Xoom keyboard off Amazon for $55 including shipping and all the function keys work just fine with my A500. I've also heard the Apple bluetooth keyboard works just fine with it also, I think $70 retail but lacks the shortcut keys of course.
I'm using the Palm Bluetooth keyboard just fine with the A500. No, the dedicated function keys don't work, but this is a pretty close to full-size QWERTY keyboard with 5 rows, so it's doing a great job. Folds in half so it stores small. The hinge has a nice lock for typing on the lap. Paired quickly and easily, no lag, etc.

Slightly off topic - samsung-unveils-the-5-3-inch-galaxy

WOW really a 5.3 inch screen with Super AMOLED resolution of 1280x800!!! Wonder if it will come to Sprint (hope so)
http://www.androidpolice.com/2011/0...-note-with-a-1280-x-800-super-amoled-display/
I liked the idea of the streak but my wife made fun of it saying it looked like you had a book on your ear.
I would still like a 5" phone...but with LTE and HSPA this is prolly a Verizon device, right guys?

Imagine though. You just use it with a bluetooth headset. Its big enough to really browse the web and do more data oriented things.
Pair it with a fold up keyboard and think of all you could do. It can be both the tablet and the phone. Get the best of everything to fit in your pocket.
I wouldn't want a 10" tablet anyway because its to big to really use with one hand.
Hope you carry around solar panels to power that thing..

Why would anyone prefer a 4" over 5" phone? That just views my mind... Think outside the box. A 5" phone wouldn't have to be any bigger than the epic. There a ton of wasted space on the epic fire the screen size.

Samsung Galaxy Note size comparison with HTC Vivid and GSII Skyrocket

I was testing out the Galaxy Note at CES 2012 yesterday and have to say the white Galaxy Note is great looking. I put the GSII SR next to his big brother and brought along the HTC Vivid as well.
The AT&T branded Note did seem a bit laggy, not to bad but I noticed a bit compared to my GSII SR.

Nice someone who was or is there lol. Anyway hopefully the lag is fixed soon, like the international note and did you test the spen calibration?
The international Note "lags" compared to the international GS2 too. Mo' pixels, plain and simple.
LOL, yeah on the road back home. Actually the pen seemed calibrated. Samsung removed the original stylus and they had the pen that will be a assessory which is like a regular pen. It was more comfortable to use.
Also once you were in the application there is no lag using the application, again this could be fixed or not, but its nothing that would make me stop from buying the Note.
Samsung really was pushing the GNote, as it was advertised everywhere.
By the way, there was a lot of attendees with the international Galaxy Note. I saw the blue one and liked the back color blue, but something about the white one that is just calling my name. The white one does look bigger because of the color compared to the black one.

They removed the S-Pen phone dock?
Yeah, the lag is really due to the 3X pixels it has to process. So just have to accept it when compared to the S2. Hopefully ICS will help it out.

The stylus dock is there, Samsung didn't put the pen stylus because at CES 2012 show, most likely they would disappear. Even though in the lobby Samsung had setup a charge station with some Galaxy Note phones to try, and out of all of them, only one had the pen stylus.
Here is picture of the white Note which is looking nice.

[Q] Browser?

If you of you guys currently have you nexus 7, can you tell me how well the browser performs, and while you are at it can you try websites like engadget,com or theverge.com and see if you have any lag on those websites. Thanks
Anything else we can test for you?

well, that is my main concern at this point, and if you do have your nexus, i would gladly like you to try this thanks.
By browser I assume you mean Chrome. I don't experience lag with those sites in particular but I have noticed an occasional tic when scrolling in general even in this app

Thanks, and do you have 4.1.1, cause i hear that helps a little bit. Is that tic annoying by any chance or not really?
Chrome performs really well in my opinion, no complaints. Any browser in particular you were interested in?

Chrome in landscape
I've got a similar question that I'd like to pose.
I'm currently quite disappointed in where the nav bar is placed when using Chrome in landscape mode. See the screenshot below.
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
For whatever reason, the nav bar is placed horizontally along the bottom. This uses up a lot of the valuable vertical viewing space, leading to a lot more scrolling in websites than I would have expected.
Below is a screenshot of Chrome in landscape mode on my Galaxy Nexus. There, Google smartly moves the nav bar to the right, to save vertical space for the browser.
Is there any way to force the nav bar on the Nexus 7 to the vertically to the right like it is on the Galaxy Nexus? It's silly that I can view more of the same website on a 4.65" phone screen than I can on a higher-resolution 7" tablet.
if not out yet there will surely soon be a hide nav bar app or setting built for this device. Dont sweat the small stuff. Enjoy your NEW TOY. it will soon become obsolete as all new gadgets
Has anyone tried Boat Browser on it? I love Boat on my Prime and Boat Browser Mini on my Evo.

Sharp releasing 20 inch HD display with stylus :)

Cool.
For all those stylus fans out there. This looks like it will be a 20 inch tru-HD display that takes pen input. Obviously this is an apples and oranges comparison to the SGN10.1 but it is interesting news for pen fans who wish to work in a Windows environment.

This display has no real active pen / digiziter. It is only a "cheap" capacitive display with just a smaller tip on the capacitive stylus. So no real accuracy, no pressure sensitivity etc.

Interesting point. Didn't notice that - although for note taking should be fine.
This isn't a tablet, just a monitor than can be used like a tablet.
I don't think it's a wacom digitizer & stylus. Wacom products are by far the more superior products.
