Thanks! The new version of S-note looks interesting! I will give it another try (I have considered it as completely defeated by LectureNotes long ago) when mine arrives.

What looks new to you? It looks the same as the Note 3.
Why does the manual reference Hancom viewer? I thought it was the full suite. Not useful if cant create/edit.
LOVE SIDESYNC! Tried to get a work around when they had it for their windows laptops.

I don't have Note 3 or 10.1 2014. My impression of S-Note was the 10.1 2012 edition.

I thought of that after I typed. I prefer the old version to be honest.

The Galaxy tab will get Android 3.0 Honeycomb

The above rumors that Honeycomb was going to require a dual-core processor have been denied! Lots of tablet owners wrote all over the internet (and in our comments) that they are worried that the next Android OS won’t be available on Galaxy Tab. A few hours ago, Dan Morrill from Android Team denied the rumors through a tweet saying : “there’s no hard minimum for Honeycomb”.
So good news guys, don’t worry, enjoy your tee , coffee, sleep and wait for Honeycomb to be released so we can enjoy it!
http-://xxx.thegalaxytab.com/2011/01/04/samsung-galaxy-tab-might-not-receive-android-honeycomb-update/
Old, old, news! This wasn't reported a few hours ago - it was a few weeks ago! See here.
FYI, this doesn't confirm that the Tab *will* get Honeycomb from Samsung - only that it is almost certainly capable of running on Honeycomb.
Regards,
Dave
Old. Also, tea not tee.
I think the fact that a new Galaxy Tab 2 is coming soon pretty much puts a nail in the coffin for a official honeycomb update. Who uses official ROMS anyways though. XDA will have one.
It's always good to have an official update. It's always a good mine of useful driver updates, mini bugfixes etc.
It also prolongs the life of the device: it'll be sold for a longer time, so it'll sell more, which means more devices and more interest in the wild, better and wider array of accessories etc.

To get our hopes up, and then send them crashing to the ground. Especially now that Honeycomb 3.2 with support for 7 inch tabs is out...
I know... its probably to much to hope for 3.2 isn't it....

Why do we want an upgrade? I'm happy with Gingerbread. If I hated GB I'd sell my Tab and go get a HoneyComb tablet. Why the need to upgrade something that works?

lmao, seriously dude, wtf are you doing on XDA if you have this view?
Seriously that has to be one of the MOST ridiculous comments I have ever seen on this site
I totally disagree, XDA is great for making our hardware live up to its promise, but, I looked at a 10.1 Tab and can honestly say that i prefer the capacitive buttons, and profile of my GTab 7. To each his own!

Well, even if you flash one of the Honeycomb ROMs from the dev forum, good news, you still have capacitive buttons and the profile of the GTab 7.

I'm sure some people will like HC on a tab.. but then there are some that will prefer GB..
After using the 10.1 and a Transformer I actually prefer the way GB works..

Watch out! Wifi only Galaxy Tab might have different (less powerful) CPU/GPU

Hope it does not happen with the new ones.

Um, that's the older 7" WIFI only Tab. See the buttons on the bottom of the bezel?
Yes i know, that's why i wrote that i hope it will not happen to the new ones.
Because the reason could be to cut cost, which can happen to anything Samsung.

Haha fail, I didn't see that. I hope not :O
Since the Galaxy Tab 3G was already released and reviewed, it was easy to be sneaky a gimp the wifi version later since it probably wouldn't get re-reviewed again by most.
With the Galaxy Tab 10.1 being released as wifi first, they can't be sneaky this time. So I doubt the wifi version will be gimped.
This should be moved to the original GTAB forum...

It would probably take a lot of time and effort as the tab 2 is based on an entirely different SOC. By the time we can get something working there will probably be an official update out for us.
Good luck for anyone who wants to give the a try though!

XDA is no longer worth my time.
If you could have waited for the firmware to come out. Our tab and tab 2 would make no difference except the name has 2 I it and the chipset. That's all. Why port when you can wait for a little little longer

Samsung and Google didn't release HC source, so there is no way currently to use the old camera driver of the older version.
It should be coming soon though, if ICS for Tab is actually rolling out next month.

Found it. I swear it wasn't there when I looked this morning. Anyway, it says:
"GALAXY Note 10.1 gets Premium Suite update. Packs enhanced multitasking, new S Pen-optimized features and Android Jelly Bean."
with a link to the Premium Suite video and that's it.
So, it's not really anything new.

I'm switching from the nexus 10 to the note. Its funny how people always see other devices better than their own. I would stick with the note if you ever use the spen. The lack of a a good stylus is killing me with the nexus. I'm selling mine today.

Honestly? Look - I'm not a big Samsung fan - they definitely have some seriously wonky business practices - moreso since I'm in Canada and they can't get their act together up here and decide if we're their favourite country or we're just a joke... and no one carries accessories for their products up here anyway - but here's the thing...
I own a ton of Samsung computer products because as much as it annoys me these two facts keep drawing me back...
1. They may be annoying - but the only real alternative left is Apple.
2. They are the ONLY company that makes damn near *exactly* what I want. Apple doesn't. Asus gets close - but then keeps blowing it. Microsoft.. please. Acer - how is life in 2008?
Samsung is the new Sony. They're Apple with a sense of weirdness that makes their products interesting instead of always being about fash and status.
So, like I said elsewhere - I may not like them much - but there really isn't anything better to jump to.
" Microsoft.. please. Acer - how is life in 2008?"
Very funny!
All true, and exactly how I feel re: other manufacturers. Others get close, sometimes, but never quite there.
And to the poster who is going to return his Note for a Nexus because JB hasn't arrived yet - go get a life. Borrow one, steal one, heck buy one. Seriously. Get a little perspective.

Lol I don't know why you're acting like they've done something wrong to you. In there announcements they said the Note 10.1 will get Jelly Bean in Q4, So unless it's January 2013 there is no point wasting your time getting frustrated.
If I was you I would look at the Nexus 10 forums first lol, all they are doing is saying maybe we should return it and get a Note 10.1.
I'm seeing a lot of this "the grass looks greener on the other side"
Anyway my Nexus 10 comes next week :fingers-crossed:

I returned my Nexus 10 as I'm happier with the Note 10.1. Also, much happier with the new Note II addition compared to Nexus 10 especially since it has JB to tide me over until it comes to Note 10.1. Once you go Note it's hard to go back to a consumption only tablet.

Returned phone. Getting a new one

Hi guys!
Recently, My Samsung`s Galaxy S7 Edge screen had bad lines on it. I sent it on warranty.
They couldn`t repair it so they gave me some papers to go to the shop and get a new one. There were no black ones so I decided to get a refund.
Here`s a question.
Should I go again for S7 Edge, try iPhone 7 which I heard is faster or maybe wait for S8?

Im also thinking they will build a great s8. After the note 7 fiasco, Samsung sure won't to present a phone that shows all of Samsung's know-how.
Iphone is for someone who only want a phone, if you like a pocket comuter you should go for anything with android.
iPhone is definitely a no-no for me. I'm not the typical Apple hater (I have a good old Retina MacBook Pro 2012 and I love that thing) but well... iOS is what it is, with all its "artificial" limitations Apple enforces to control it, control the user experience, control what you can do with it.
For me the iPhone + iOS platform = wasted potential
