#Fixed [Q] Bricked I9500 MTK6589 - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello developers,
I am not really new here, but more a reader than a writer. But this time I need your help.
I have tried to flash a Chinese I9500 clone (mtk6589), with an chinese recovery and without a download mode.
After i tried with MtkDroidtools, neither have a download mode, recovery mode or rom.
After turning on the phone it keeps rebooting after showing the I9500 logo. Even if i connect it to the computer.
The real problem is: I can't make a stable connection with the computer to flash a new image.
Is there another option or did i really bricked this one?

only thing i could suggest is try finding , the software designed for flashing that device, maybe try contacting the actual manufacturer.
you may be waiting some time as clones arent supported here on xda

Thnx for your reply, but even if i have the right software. The phone keeps restarting,
so i have to stop the rebooting, otherwise the computer won't recognize the phone.

You get what you pay for.

This will sound implausible but:
I deleted the battery, installed the last usb driver en used the hard reset combination. So the rebooting stopped.
after that, I followed the tutorial called "How To use SP Flash Tool For China Mobile Phones - HDC Legend S4 [HD]" (on youtube) and its done.
I had this problem for months and now this solution finally worked for me.

see friend, the problem isn't with the battery, I've tried many others ...

My stock recovery won't load. Any suggestions?

stock ROM
I have never been able to find a stock ROM for Blu devices. I tried finding one for my Blu Studio 5.5s and Bluproducts Support says you must mail your phone to the repair center, that they will not supply ROMs for their phones. Sad situation.
Also it's too late to warn you but anytime you connect a USB device that is known to work, even a little bit, when WIndows says that something needs formatting, NEVER do it, it usually means that there is a problem communicating that Windows believes is an unformatted memory card. This is hardly ever the case.
I guess we are on our own with these Blu phones until either they either take off in popularity and we see more recovery tools or they quite making them and after we have bricked them all due to lack of recovery tools.
Blu Factory Default Recovery for BLU 5.0 2/ 5.5s
Hello BLU User of 5.0 2/ 5.5s
Okay the first thing I will say " DO NOT..... I REPEAT.... DO NOT USE ANY Version OF AIO FLASHER "
because the program is a real B.S flasher.... 1. it hangs like crazy
2. their is no progress bar/ status bar
3. the only real thing that works is backup
4. all partition on drive is NOT PROTECTED
Meaning all partition will be erased if you f-up
hit yes when you should have press NO..
now with all that said both phone are great 5.0 2/ 5.5s
I Already Brick the crap out of Blu 5.0 2, Now I have the Blu 5.5s
All I want to do is Drop CWM on it..... to no avail..
I Can tell you this....... I manage to f-up the stock default recovery
so now there is no default recovery for on a brand new phone
I got it rooted no prob... all of my backup come without default
recovery..
the Question is how can i recreate the default recovery partition
on main system memory card or would it be possible to create that
partition on my 64G SDCARD Via the Computer ?
Edit:
Fixed: Reflash Preloader / EMI from original ROM - Boot into Factory menu (Not Recovery) Turn off the phone.
Start SPFlashTool - Select Scatter.txt (Make sure its Scatter from the Original ROM) - Flash Original FULL Rom - Reflash Boot/Recovery/Pre Entire ROM -
Adb Install Update
Done!
---------------------------
I have managed to brick the Blu Studio X today using SPFlashTool.
EMI Obtain DRAM Fail.
This started when I replaced Factory recovery with CWM which turned out to be even worst than Factory. I got it Rooted without issue but in an effort to Flash back to Stock Recovery, I was unsuccessful.
The phone is detected by the PC now but I cannot do anything. The battery is integrated also.
What I need is the entire Blu Stock ROM including the Preloader. Without this, I cannot Unbrick it. Any help or ideas would be great.
Very urgent please, how do I get into bootloader (factory menu) without going through recovery? My D830u is in a Blu logo boot loop without recovery or anything. I need fastboot mode

[Q] KDZ Flash issues

Hello everyone,
So I basically made a noob mistake. I had a custom recovery installed on my d802 and I opted to update the software via the LG apps. Now I am stuck at the LG logo on start-up. Normally this wouldn't bother me so much, but the problem is when I try to flash the original firmware with the flash tool. I have looked everywhere and haven't found a proper answer (forgive me if I missed a thread).
The problem is that I get an error saying your phone is disconnected when I'm pretty sure its not, and the phone screen displays "fastboot: processing commands". I have tried a different usb cable, a different pc with different version of windows. But unlucky so far.
Apart from this though, I was wondering if I could flash the Italy lollipop KDZ? I am in Germany and since I have the same model number (D802) I might as well give it a try. What are your thoughts?
Any help from you guys is highly appreciated.

Hi!
Yes, I'm pretty sure you can flash the Italy .kdz, 'cause it's correspond, basically, to the open version. I think there is some bloatwares, but they can be remove by root. you can even flash the spanish .kdz, but there is vodafone's bloatwares inside.
But if you're stuck in fastboot, I don't know if you can access to download mode. Can you describe actual state or your phone? Do you have access to recovery? Download Mode? Can you boot?

Whenever I try to move into download mode it automatically takes me to fastboot. I cant access recovery or hard reset. But yes the lg logo does come up and thats all, it evens goes as far as the second time the logo comes up and the leds come on. But thats about it. It shows download mode for a little while and then automatically goes into fastboot.
Thats all I have right now.
Well this is not pretty. I just realised my phone isn't getting into download mode. I was under the impression that getting into fastboot when connecting phone to pc is the normal case for everyone. But im supposed to get into download mode rather than fastboot, eh?
Now i'm really out of clues. Appreciate your help devs!

Gal J1 of sadness.... but still hoping
2 days ago a friend asked me to fix his J1 stuck in boot image. I gladly said yes for I've done it 4x already different units same model with satisfying results. This one is the exact opposite because after flashing with Odin and getting the Passed result, the phone didn't reboot. Actually it never booted right after that moment. System didn't recognize the phone not even a dim light or blink or any reaction from it even when plugged in a wall charger. tried all possible solutions even the galaxy tab procedure of total batt drain and so on. The firmware I got is from xda, J100MLDXU0AOB3_OLC0AOB5_v4.4.4_Repair_Firmware.zip, and I'm sure it's fine because I've used it already with good results...
Guys, any of you with a solution on this or any suggestions would be much appreciated... Thanks very much in advance!!! :fingers-crossed:

Can you get into Odin Mode? If yes, flash the stock firmware of your region (here is a fast server which provides very fast downloads: fw.updato.com) If no, then you should change your battery as you're saying "it came from my battery" and try the first step again.
If it doesn't help as expected, then your phone is hard bricked and can't be repaired at all. The only solution would be changing the motherboard, but I would not waste my money on a low-end device motherboard and I would directly buy a new phone. :/

If I am correct...
Then SM-J110H have Spreadtrum SC7727S
Here is Pinout for Direct eMMC...
https://postimg.cc/image/ul680l5jv/
This Pinout seems also to work with:
Code:
SM-G318HZ
SM-Z130H
I have leaked SM-Z130H PDF... where Instruction is inside to repair with tweezer... USB cable + Spreadtrum Tool:
Code:
[B]ResearchDownload[/B]
In theory something similar should be possible with SM-J110H...
I have at the moment only 1 problem... to create PAC file...
No idea from where I can get:
Code:
FDL1
FDL2
Best Regards
Edit 1.
Sorry, seems I was drunken...
It is sooo hard to find Posts or Threads about SM-J110H...
But it seems SM-J100H also Spreadtrum device...

Lenovo Tab 3 8 (TB3-850M) - Hard Bricked

Hi,
It looks my tablet got hardbricked. Apparently, it looks like it was turned off completely automatically, when in sleep mode. When it's powered off now - pressing power button for a while makes nothing. When connected to charger - white LED flash is blinking only and when trying to power on, and there is no "Lenovo" logo at all. I've tried some of "power cycle" tutorials - but no luck. Once, when using power button, tablet was vibrating crazily and screen blinked, but it was shut down after moment.
Sorry, if there is existing similar thread - this tablet is not very popular. If there is any "magic trick" to make it work, I'll be grateful, if now - probably I'll need to flash new firmware. Currently, I'm discharging it completely.
Best regards.

Are you still bricked? There is the firmware flashing method using SP Flash Tool which restores both the 850F & 850M to full factory condition. Let me know if you need the method and I'll get you links to the guides here on XDA.

I've had two 850F devices hard bricked and was able to recover using SP Flash Tool and a stock firmware package. I'll get you the method posted here. But, out of curiosity, how did you hard brick yours?
(The 850F is pretty much an 850M without SIM/data connectivity support. They also have slightly different chipsets, but many of the specs are very similar. So, I know the method will work on both variants of the Tab3 8.

Hey, thanks for you reply! As I'm not owner of the tablet, it's hard to say how it was bricked. It was on stock firmware, it was not rooted and TWRP was not installed. I've helped to configure this tablet, tablet was turned off everyday at 11PM automatically, and powered on manually, by device owner. She said sometimes instead of powering on to Android, it was booting into FASTBOOT mode (green android image). Once, it just failed to boot, without any reaction. I've tried to recover it using Windows machine, when plugging it into computer (no matter, with, or without Vol+ pressed) it was recognized as Unknown device (instead of Qualcomm, or something). I've tried many drivers - but with no luck, device was not recognized. Also, I've tried 2 machines with Win7 & Windows XP. I've managed to reboot device using power key long pressed, but starting from this point device was not recognized at all... When plugged into USB, nothing was happening. Service guy said he was able to make his computer recognize device using some technical cable plugged directly with motherboard, but all methods to flash firmware failed. He said probably EEPROM chip is broken completely and replacing this part is half of device cost. Thing is, this tablet was bought from China - so no guarantee at all. Well, probably she need to buy next tablet from local electronic store...

Yeah, the service guy is full of it without any doubt. Using a modded fastboot cable, like he was likely referring to, will not only fail to push firmware to the eMMC, but will very likely damage or corrupt the partition index. I can't promise my method will work, but I can say with some certainty that it will. Ok, first things firstt: install the latest SP Flash Tool on your Windows PC or laptop. Also, you will need to install the latest vCOM drivers (for the Mediatek chipset). Do you know how to do this or do you need links? I can post a link for unbricking the 850F, which has been reported to work on 850M, but the thread is a bit erratic and non-concise. It will be much easier if you and I do this step by step. Also, you will need a stock firmware package for your 850M (build version is not relevant). Do you have one or do you need a link?
In a nutshell, this method will do an emergency recovery by directly pushing a stock firmware package to the device's eMMC flash memory. Although your PC is not currently recognizing your device, the vCOM drivers/SP Flash Tool, & your volume down button, will force recognition of the Mediatek chipset. Again, I cannot promise this will be successful, but I can say I've not yet seen a single hard bricked Tab 3 that could not be recovered from a hard brick this way.
Step 1 -- install the latest vCom drivers on your Windows (7, 8.1, or 10) PC/laptop. Here is an excellent XDA tutorial that provides sources and detailed instructions. https://forum-xda--developers-com.c...-10-mtk-vcom-usb-drivers-32-64-t3267033/page1 Sorry for the lengthy url.
Step 2 -- install the latest SP Flash Tool on your PC or laptop. Go to this website for download sources; https://spflashtool.com/
Step 3 -- download a stock firmware package for your TB3-850M. This is a link for a solid firmware package, confirmed to work (take note that build version isn't a factor. The SP Flash Tool will push a downgrade, upgrade, or collateral installation {same build version}): https://cloud.mail.ru/public/LHhe/NkpAi7WuL
When you've completed the above 3 steps, let me know and we will go forward with the firmware recovery process. :good:
I have the same issue. I dont know how but i got hard bricked completely. I was flashing rom on it and it got bricked. Now service centre guy is saying that i have to change motherboard altogether. But your post seems convincing. Please let me know the next detailed process.
i have the same issue.

Here is an excellent XDA tutorial that provides sources and detailed instructions. https://forum-xda--developers-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/forum.xda-developers.com/elephone-m2/help/windows-10-mtk-vcom-usb-drivers-32-64-t3267033/amp/?amp_js_v=a2&amp_gsa=1&usqp=mq331AQCCAE=#aoh=15510379323239&amp_ct=1551037935701&referrer=https://www.google.com&amp_tf=From %1$s&ampshare=https://forum.xda-developers.com/elephone-m2/help/windows-10-mtk-vcom-usb-drivers-32-64-t3267033/page1 Sorry for the lengthy url.
:good:

unable to flash lenovo a1000

Hello everyone, so here i am trying to flash a friend's a1000, but unfortunately, i'm unable to do so because when i try to enter the bootloader by holding the volume up key before plugging in the usb cable to start the process, it only connects to the computer for about 9 seconds, and then automatically disconnects, i get a coloured screen afterwards, and i would be forced to restart the device, i first suspected that it was the cable, but i was wrong, since i've already tried a bunch of cables, all with the same exact result, i also used 3 different computers, and i still got the same result, please respond if you have any idea.

you need drivers to flash it. i flashed mine in september 2021 and most drivers didnt work. i ended up getting drivers with the same name for a diffrent phone and the flash worked. so try doing that it might end up working. i dont how i did it but it was really hard

I appreciate that, i'll let you know if i find a compatible rom for the device, i think the drivers are called CDC drivers if i remember correctly, i don't have the files, but i'm almost sure it's CDC, i'll be grateful if you can send me a link to that video.

Do you guys still have the files?
I managed to get the proper drivers and the phone is seen by the computer and I manage to flash it , but the phone is completly dead after the flash .
The power button wont do anything, plugging it into the charger doesnt do anything, I can only reflash it by connecting it to the pc while holding the volume up & down buttons.
Checking on old forums, aparently there are two versions of the phone , single sim and dual sim.
Also the revision number seems to be important for some reason, so mines is dual sim , revision 61 .
I believe this was the firmware that was on it previously, although the phone remained stuck at the boot logo : a1000_usr_s29798_1511241708_sprd7731_ro , but i cant find it anywhere , so I flashed the one you guys had , but now the phone is a dead brick after the flashing ends . Nothing on the screen, no response from any of the buttons, just dead.

sorry, i deleted my lenovo a1000 files to focus on other phones. from what i have heard that issue is common with that phone. i know someone who flashed the firmware on their a1000 and got stuck in the same issue as you. i tried to help them unbrick it but it seems to be impossible. i think you need to do a board replacement if you want to use that phone again. also, i dont think that the phone revisions are that important cause i managed to get lenovo a1000m firmware on my lenovo a1000.
