[Q] update OTA by Odin Mobile Pro - Galaxy Note II General

Hello,
I'm on a Note 2 N7100 purchased on Amazon so free of any operator.
I root and everything works fine, I have downloaded OTA update update.zip but she does not want to install CWM 6.0.4.3 my recovery
So I bought Mobile Odin Pro version 4.00
I put the update.zip file recover OTA in my internal sdcard directory
Then I launch Odin and I chose OTA / Update.zip (777 MB) it finds it, then I start by Flash Firmware (start the firmware flash)
I have a message Checking Zip File, and Verifying partition hashes ... Verifying system files then .... 0% --- 0/1171
the progress bar stays like that for hours without moving
I do not know what to do.
I'm reboot and start over, it's always the same.
Is this you could please help me?
Thank you

If you are upgrading to 4.3 it will include the new bootloader and mobile odin can't flash bootloader. I think that is the problem. Either unroot and install the ota as normal or download the latest firmware from Sam mobile and flash with pc odin

ho yes, thank you. But I can flash with Odin Mobile Pro from a rom stock MK8 ?

If you are on 4.1.2 Afaik you can only flash 4.1.2 rom with mobile odin as it won't flash the bootloader for 4.3 rom, but I stand to be corrected
Sent from my GT-P3110 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app

ok, therefore I am obliged of flashed with Odin PC from 4.1.2 XEF to 4.3
Thank you

hi

check this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265477
you may have to flash stock rom with a PIT to restore the correct phone structure
yes I did it .. with pit file with 5.0.1 and with 4.4.2 and nothing change ..

from this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2207592
what i can see is that lrwxrwxrwx root root 2013-03-26 16:07 EFS -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p3 is the right partition for the EFS backup
lrwxrwxrwx root root 2013-03-26 16:07 RECOVERY -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p10
restoring 5.0.1 should solve the problem, are you using the official or the leaked version
use the official version
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/42705/I9500XXUHOA7_I9500SERHOA7_SER.zip/
I followed this video .. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJQjZgbmW3Y
maybe mmcblk0p3 is for efs .. but I made backup from mmcblk0p10 and restored to mmcblk0p3 .. then the device suddenly restart and never boot again
.........
yes
im using the official 5.0.1 four files

[Q] Flashing and rooting Official Lollipop on N9005?

Hi,
so official Lollipop just became available on SamMobile, downloading as I type.
Model: SM-N9005
Model name: GALAXY Note 3 LTE
Country: United Kingdom (Vodafone)
Version: Android 5.0
Changelist: 3643614
Build date: Tue, 20 Jan 2015 14:05:43 +0000
Product Code: VOD
PDA: N9005XXUGBOA5
CSC: N9005VFGGBOA2
MODEM: N9005XXUGBOA1
1) Coming from CM, should I first wipe/factory reset AND THEN use Odin, or can I go straight to Odin for flashing the firmware?
2) How do I root my phone after Lollipop is flashed?
Appreciate all the info in advance.
Ok I flashed it fine, how do I root the damned thing now? When trying to load the TWRP file inside Odin AP, it takes forever. It's literally taking 15 minutes now, "processing" something in the background after i double-clicked the file. The "AP" button is grayed-out, like it's waiting to load the file somehow. What gives?

Try to flash TWRP for your device: HERE via ODIN (seems the latest version 2.8.5.0 have some bugs and don't work correctly) and then root it with CF-Auto-Root.
Tried it, same problem persists. It's stuck at "Checking MD5", and after a minute the whole Odin gets "not responding" and it just sits there like that...
I'm desperate. How do I root my phone?
I even re-flashed the firmware (Lollipop, Polish), SAME THING. Has anyone got any ideas? Please?
After flash lollipop, can you back on kitkat ?
I dont know when you flash lollipop via odin, do you need to re-install custom recovery ?
If you do not have, just enter in recovery and flash SuperSU v2.40
I think you have root after flash SuperSU.
Considering to install and I Lollipop, but do not know will I be able to go back to kitkat, will delete it my PhilZ recovery and how I root my phone ?
Hi
I was on CM12 BlissPoP before I flashed the new 5.0 today. With Odin went back to 4.4.2 KK booted up then back to Odin flashed 5.0 phone booted in less than 2mins. I did lose root and PhilZ so just had to put them back on.
So far all OK just trying to get all the BLOAT out now.
Also OP has a video on the 1st post now if you need help.
Eh that's exactly the problem. I can't flash custom recovery, because it hangs at "Check MD5". It just sits there and nothing happens. Can I root my phone without the custom recovery somehow?

After Flasing NC1, Cannot Boot to phone?

So i wanted to upgrade to lolipop. In order to do that i followed this tutorial http://www.droidviews.com/update-att-galaxy-s4-sgh-i337-to-lollipop-and-keep-root/ and they said to flash to NJ4. (using this tutorial - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=56453108&postcount=2 ) Since i was already rooted and had safestrap i followed STEP 2 and after these
1. Reboot into Download Mode
2. In Odin, and flash NC1 Kernel file in the AP slot
3. Phone will reboot
Click to collapse
instructions i cannot boot to my phone now , it only shows that "boot to safestrap recovery or to my phone". If i click my phone it just blacks out and shuts off.
I tried to factory reset in safestrap recovery and after than i tried to boot into system but it says no os found? are you sure you want to boot..
Another note:- i used ODIN 3.09 since it was stated in STEP 1, now i can see how dumb i am since it was for I9505 :|
Auto reboot and F. Reset times were checked. Android Version was: 4.3 , Model: SGH-i337
Please help me with this,
Thanks - Ninetailz
First, there is no specific Odin for a specific phone. It's the same Odin for any Samsung phone. It sounds like you should flash the nb1 tar file in Odin and start the process all over again

S4 issue with Recovery Menu

Hi everybody,
It's been a while I tried to flash CWM touch using odin... and after it failed, my phone didn't started it displayed :"firmware upgrade encountered an issue"
I followed this video instructions and it started again
I didn't realized the file used in this video was made for SIII (i9300) !
philz_touch_6.07.9-i9300.tar.md5
May be that's why I can't access to the inbuilt recovery mode and not that flashed recovery either...
Last night, I tried to flash another CWM version. It failed and I had to do the same thing again
Anyway, I could restore original recovery menu or install an appropriate custom recovery on my phone ?
Please I don't like to flash a new rom these days. Phone is doing great !
Thank you

Download twrp for your device from twrp.me and flash the tar version in Odin.
https://dl.twrp.me/jfltexx/
Does your phone boot? If it boots and is rooted you could use the app Flashify to flash the twrp.img file. No Odin required.
You can download the img file from the link in the previous post.
Thank you guys
I didn't found your replies in the notifications !
That's a good idea. I went to official CWM website and flashed the appropriate version using SGS4 flasher
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nl.bvgemert.flasher&hl=en
Now I'm ok with the last CWM touch version.
Thank you

You should take into consideration that CWM is outdated and you may have flash issues due to that reason.
