[MOD] CM10.x p31XX NO emulated sdcard - Galaxy Tab 2 General

Hi, I made a mod for CM10.x ROM users and any 4.1.x and 4.2.x ROM with init.d and busybox.
Thanks to XDA and XDA developers for making this possible.
This mod causes the SDCard (emulated or external) will be the Real Micro SDCard.
This mod will NOT swap sdcard routes. I recommend never remove ther sdcard while tablet is on.
This mod will NOT work in the Stock ROM.
This mod will create a folder called "Android/obb" on your SDCard. This folder will be used to save additional files of the big games (Asphalt, GTA, etc...). Before this mod these files were saved on the device.
It's based on GalaxyNote2 MOD, adapted to the p31xx and with the obb folder.

It has been tested in CyanogenMOD 10.
Requeriments:
- Galaxy Tab 2 P3110 (P3100 and P3113 not tested, but it should work)
- CWM recovery flashed
Odin http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2189539

p3113 http://download2.clockworkmod.com/recoveries/recovery-clockwork-6.0.2.3-p3113.img
- CM10.x installed from recovery (any ROM with init.d and busybox should work)
p3110 p3113 http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=p3110&type=stable
p3100 http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=p3100&type=stable
- FAT32 formatted microSDCard with the attached file copied
Instructions:
1.- Shut down device.
2.- Start device pressing volume up + and button on
3.- Wait CWM recovery appears
4.- Select Install from EXTERNAL SDcard
5.- Select the attached file previously copied to the SDCard.
6.- Optional (use this if do not use AutoCopy version): Select Wipe Factory
8.- Restart device.
It's very recommended to do a Wipe Factory in CWM after or before applying this mod if you want to take profit of your space in your device, or use version with AutoCopy.
The device space will be only for Apps, additional files and other files will be on the Real SD.
Added Version with AutoCopy, NO WIPE NEEDED.
Enjoy it!

ZTE Light / V9 [ROM] [Froyo] Light Roast RLS6 [2011-05-19] [Gen2]

ALL CREDITS TO KALLT_KAFFE !!
Information
NOTE: Only for devices that have been upgraded to Android 2.2.
Based on the leaked 2.2 ROM V9_GENERICV1.0.0B03 (Android 2.2)
Rooted "out-of-the-box"
Support for Darktremors Apps2SD (apps on EXT2 partition on SD card)
Various updates to the Google apps as Maps, etc.
"Extra Settings" where you can easily switch between the LCD density settings, etc.
HW UI turned on
VMHeapTool included to easily change the VM Heap Size.
Added "Spare Parts" (I recommend changing the "Window" and "Transition" animations to "Fast")
Predefined APN list from CyanogenMod7 (NOTE: If you use Telia may be necessary to go in and actively choose Telia as Halebop seems to be the chosen default)
Instructions
If you have not already Clockwork Recovery installed, download OneClickRecoveryV9.apk and save on the SD card.
Then download Light_Roast_RLS6.zip and save on the SD card. (Mirror)
Install and run OneClickRecovery. (Alternatively, reboot to already installed Clockword using 'adb reboot recovery')
Make a backup of existing installation inside Clockwork (Backup and Restore -> Backup)
Install Light_Roast_RLS6.zip (Install zip from sdcard-> choose zip from sdcard-> etc ...)
Make a Wipe (wipe data / factory reset) (Only required for new installations or if you are upgrading from RLS2 or earlier)
Choose to restart the phone. (Reboot system now)
First boot takes extra long time so be patient.
Overclock AHB bus
First, install Light Roast RLS6 if you have not already done so.
Download and install Light_Roast_RLS5_ahb_overclocked.zip (ignore RLS5, it also applies to RLS6)
NOTE: Do NOT use this if you do not know how to restore the phone if it would not boot. There is no guarantee that all phones can handle AHB overclocking which is a 50% overclock of AHB bus in 480 and 600MHz.
Activate Apps2SD (NOTE: Android 2.2 has built in support for moveing apps to the SD card. This is another method that most people probably will survive without)
Make a backup on everything on your SD card that you want to save.
(Optional) If you have already installed apps then you must run "a2sd remove" via "adb shell".
Reboot into recovery (Can be made using "Extra Settings")
Partition SD card. It is basically meaningless to assign more than 512MB if you don't want to move Dalvik cache to the SD card. I recommend 512MB and 0MB swap (the kernel does not support swap and the phone has enough memory to not need swap)
Boot up again and now all the apps that are installed will automagically be on EXT2 partition on the SD card.
(Optional) If you did "a2sd remove" above then you must make a "a2sd reinstall" to move the apps to the partition.
Uninstall
Reboot into recovery (eg using "Extra Settings)
Restore the backup you made before you installed
(Optional) If you also wish to recover the leaked 2.2 ROM original recovery partition, download, install and run OneClickStockRecoveryV9.apk
NOTE: Everything is done at your own risk!

[Q] Questions about - [ROM][14.AUG.2011] Ideos S7 Froyo Stable v1.2

Hello dear developers of [ROM][14.AUG.2011] Ideos S7 Froyo Stable v1.2 - (Android 2.2.2)

1) Can i install this firmware on my device : [ROM][14.AUG.2011] Ideos S7 Froyo Stable v1.2 ???
2) Can i install any of original firmware`s :
S7V100R001C13B115 (Australian Telstra) thanks to goodoane
S7V100R001C57B113(Norway Telenor)
S7V100R001C68B111(Brazil Commex)

(or i have to install always some version as i have now) ?
3) I find out for make more internal storage i need to make one 1Gb ext3 partition on my internal storage.
Question about it is: Do i have to do it before i flash my device with new firmware or i have to do it after successful flash ?
one more Question regarding this is: What is better make ext3 on internal storage or in my 4Gb Micro SD Card?
Thanks to all developer`s doing our life better !!!!! REALY BIG THX !!!!!

What i need to do with my new tables is make it somehow possible to expand internal memory because i have free 30MB and i cant install all stuff i want
I figure out i need to flash new ROM in my TABLET to fix this big android issue. (sorry for dam question , but i am very new in Android)
So is this right way how to make ROM working on very new TABLET with original ROM ? :
1) Wipe/Data Factory Reset
2) at FIRST i have to install (flash) : CWM-Install-Script-tri_zet.zip ?
3) After that i have to connect Tablet to my WIN_XP and with partition software resize my EXTERNAL (MICRO SD CARD 4GB) to 3GB FAT32 partition and one 1Gb ext2 partition?
4) To resized FAT32 partition copy your ROM file : Ideos_S7_Froyo-v1.3-EXT4-SA.zip
5) Than restart TABLET and hold volume DOWN button and jump in Clockwork xauBeta recovery which i flash in first step ?
6) Than flash my TABLET with your ROM : Ideos_S7_Froyo-v1.3-EXT4-SA.zip
7) After flash i have to do 2 restart of TABLET for working MARKET and so on ... ???
8) One more Question regarding this is: What is better make ext3 on internal storage or in my 4Gb Micro SD Card?
9) Do you know about any issue with your ROM and S7 - 105 TABLET version?
IS THIS FLASHING TUTORIAL CORRECT????
... after this flash i will never need to install AP2SD and move all instaled APPs on SD CARD? That ROM will do this automatically?
no more install AP2SD or MOVE2SD and use default installation on SD CARD?
Thanks for all your HELP i really appreciate it.
1) yes
2) i don't know.... but go for option 1
3) connect your device and mount you internal sdcard
then make a fat 32 primary partition (leave 1gb open)
then make the rest (1gb) ext4 partition PRIMARY
---------- Post added at 09:58 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:22 AM ----------
I wasn't finished yet and presed enter lol
1) yes
2) i don't know.... but go for option 1
3) a) first turn on your device and go to settings/applications/development/usb developmentmode
b) install drivers by running the upgrade.cmd file http://adf.ly/2Lmy8 ("Ideos S7 Froyo 1.3 Upgrade tools")
c) install clockworkmod recovery http://www.multiupload.com/6YNZ1GXHV1
d) connect your device and mount you internal sdcard
e) then make a fat 32 primary partition (for instance 7gb and leave 1gb open (8gb card)) (use EASEUS Partition Master 9.1.0 Home Edition on your pc)
f) then make the rest (1gb) ext4 partition PRIMARY (use EASEUS Partition Master 9.1.0 Home Edition on your pc)
g) unmount your sdcard and mount it again
h) now you have 7gb internal sdcard storage left
i) put the "Ideos_S7_Froyo-v1.3-EXT4-SA.zip" from the (http://adf.ly/2Lmy8 ("Ideos S7 Froyo 1.3 Upgrade tools")) folder into the internal sdcard
k) now turn off your device and hold the call+menu butten and press the power button at the same time. now you are in clockworkmod recovery.
l) go to "install zip from sdcard"/"choos zip from sdcard" and make shure the "ideos_S&_froyo-v1.3-ext4-SA.zip" is inside. don't run it but press two times the back button (yet) if the file is not there or you can not open the sdcard ... restart the device and go back to "d" or "i"

I'm Confused.,what is Hybrid Data2sd.,why do we need partition.,Need Help...

hi all,
i have GT-i5801., froyo., DDJP2., stock rom rooted..,comes with 170 mb internal storage...
also i never used App2SD...
i used the trick via terminal emulator to install all app..default to SD.,some app installed default...others i move manually to SD...
i don't have any partition...i've 2GB Memory card which comes with default...
i've backed up all apps using titanium....
now., i want to install Kyrillios ROM V 8.0 OC....my questions are...
why do we need partition....?? what is HybridData2SD...??
in this thread.,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=957123
Install titanium and go to titanium backup's preferences, and select Restore Backups to => Internal Storage. Then do your restore...
why do i restore my back up to internal storage...??
suppose., i'm not happy with kyrillios...can i bring my stock rom froyo DDJP2 Back..?? how...??
i never flashed...this is my first...pls need more comments and help....
well Hybrid Data2SD is still a jargon for me. It has something to do like you can selectively move app data to sd card so something(not quite sure on this).
We partition our sd card so that we have a partition that is dedicated to apps only. Like its a hidden partition that will be used to store you apps on the sd card. Much better than manually moving your apps to sd card. App2SD by kyrillos (its a script, available in different versions. You need to select the version that suits your sd card class and capacity). On using such a script all your apps are moved to the sd card on installation.
By using Titanium backup you can view the free space on the sd-ex partition(the extra partition that you have made). Its best to partition the sd card via the CWM recovery which will come pre-installed on Kyrillos 8.0 or even on G3Mod Kernels.
I have provided a link below that has links to all the firmwares and kernels for our phone. So if you install Kyrillos's ROM and do not happen to like it, then you can select the stock JP2 firmware from the Index forum and flash back using ODIN.

PS.
To flash a ROM you need ODIN and the .ops(Odin partitioning Script) files. Both of them will be available when you download Kyrillos ROM.
-> Open ODIN
-> Select the .ops file
-> Select flash as one package and select the .tar file
-> Connect the phone(You must have the USB drivers for you phone installed. You can install KIES for that)
-> Once connected, ODIN will show the port number and write something as Detected or something like that.
-> flash the firmware now. Pray to GOD.
Back up your IMEI before flashing. Always flash ROMs without bootloaders as they can permanently damage(Hard Brick) you phone.
All the best.
thanks for reply....
is partition necessary...i mean is it compulsory...??

1. No partition isn't necessary. If you are happy with the internal storage that you have on your phone, then you can live without a partition!
2.All the custom ROM's (in this case Kyrillos) are without bootloaders, so they are safe to flash.
3. If you want to revert back to stock ROM, then you can find them (without bootloaders) over here:-

I came to know abt this hybrid data2sd and successfully booted CM7 and Froyo roms using multiboot.
I have written all steps on THIS post!
Hope it helps!!
Hybrid data2sd basically moves apps to your sd card partition. First you have to partition your sd card using minitool partition wizard (google it) or cwm recovery which comes on custom roms. This changes the format of that certain partition of your sd card to ext2/ext3/ext4. I think that makes it faster than fat32 which is the standard format of an sd card. When you have partitioned your sd card and have the hybrid data2sd script on your phone your apps with automatically go onto your sd card because your phone thinks the partition is internal storage so you don't need to move them in the settings (i made that mistake and my phone went crazy slow!). It's basically just a way of getting more storage whilst still keeping your phone working smoothly. Also you can easily go back to your stock rom by going to this thread and downloading whichever one you want although i don't think this will be the case since kyrillos roms are awesome.
how do i check used/remaining space in hybrid data2sd partition...??
pls need help...
I think you may need to type something into terminal emulator. Hillbeast is the best person to ask as he made the script in the first place.
Unable to Use Hybrid Data2sd

questions before installing ROM

hello. I am having some questions before I install a new ROM to my Nook Color.
The device has already been rooted with CM10 by someone else, I am completely noob in this process So there goes:
1) the encore ROM files available on get.cm are made only for nook color?
2) can I downgrade to an older CM version afterwards, due to bad experience with it (ex: lag in applications...) ?
3) if I go to settings-apps and move all my applications to SD card will they still work after installing the new ROM ?
4) do I have to format the sd card that I put the zip ROM file on?
5) do I have to make a bootable sd card ?
6) is it recommended to format the system before I install the new ROM file? and how to do it ?
7) wipe data/factory reset means FORMAT ?
Thank you
These answers assume that the original person installed the CM10 to internal memory. If they installed it to an SD, you need different answers.
1. Encore means Nook Color, so all labeled with encore should work.
2. Yes, just flash the older one over the new one This assumes you continue to use CM10 not the new CM10.1. You do not want to mix CM10 and CM10.1.
3. Yes, as long as you don't wipe data/factory reset.
4. No, it can and should be put on your normal SD without formatting.
5. You either need a bootable CWM or TWRP SD or have one of them installed internally. You can tell if you have it installed internally by using the cyanoboot boot menu. Hold n on boot and choose emmc recovery and see if you get one of them.
6. It is not recommended to wipe /system. The CM rom zip does that for you.
7. Wipe data/factory reset means it formats a few partitions on internal (/cache, /data) and then removes any apps you installed to SD.

[Q] internal memory is full ...... help me

how to set external memory as default installation path &
how to install and play apps on external memory
im using galaxy y GT s5360
please give proper help ... step by step solution
Root your phone if not already rooted (search how to)
Flash a kernel that can support ext4 partitions (if on stock based rom Use hells fusion #50 kernel -search dev section for links & instructions) Copy all sd files to pc
go into cwm on phone goto advanced & partition sdcard Partition sdcard with min of 1024mb ext partition
Copy sd card files back to phone
Install link2sd (playstore)
Open link2sd mount 2nd partition as ext4 (other kernels may vary)
restart
open link2sd
select app & create link
For more details search for link2sd
Link2SD has some complicated steps and requires 2 partitions in SD card. If you don't want to do it and you have root go to play store, search Force2SD(root).
Please note that by moving app to sdcard, you can't use its widget.(if any)

To me, the most easily is move apps to sd card with Titanium Backup or similar.
You cant use an A2SD script. What it does it puts your internal memory to your newly formatted ext4 partiton on your sd card. But it's a little bit complicated, since you need to modify you boit.img, and it may not always work. The second option is to download "mounts to sd" from goigle play, but you need root and kernel with init.d support.

Then download CWM & reboot to recovery & then:-
1.Select Install zip from SD & select CWM...now CWM will open
2.Select advanced
3.Select Partition SD card
4.On ext size select 1024MB (it is the max recommended size)
5.On swap select 0 M
6.Now SD card will be partitioned & formatted
7.Reboot your phone
8.Open Link2SD & choose the second partition of your SD card as EXT3
9.Reboot your Phone
10.Now start linking all your apps to the SD card & free up internal memory & you will be able to installl many apps now
Here's a video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEtSyLwUTCw
1. root your phone
2. use link2sd(from playstore) to move apps to SD-card
internal memory full ?
well if ur internal memory is full , ransfer your apps to sd card via
1) link2sd
or the best is
2) TITANIUM BACKUP PRO
Take a backup of the apps that are installed on your phone. Search in google play for those apps which provide backup. Plug your phone to the computer and copy each and every file because you are going to format your SD card to increase the storage. If your device is not rooted, you have to then root it first. Search on XDA for rooting guides. Make sure you have ClockWorkMod recovery file is on SD card. Then after that follow the following steps:
1. Install Link2Sd app
2. Reboot your phone and goto recovery mode
3. Install ClockWorkMod
4. Clear Cache
5. Mount Everything that can be mounted
6. Goto Advanced > Partition SD Card
7. Choose below 1024MB as it causes some issues
8. Set Swap size to 0MB
9. After doing, reboot your phone.
10. Goto Link2sd and select recreate mount scripts and it will automatically reboot your phone.
Now you can get more internal storage. You can now restore your backup that you have made in computer back to the phone.
P.S. I am not responsible for any damage that occurs to your phone or SD card. I just provided a solution.
