i'm on 4.3 journalists rom. No update notification for this. I also have another thread on updates. With these unofficial ROMs will the automatic update notifications not work? The walkman app that came with journalists rom is also v7 whereas the v8 is already out. Still no update nofitication? why?

Because the rom is unofficial.. and is not registered on Sony servers the firmware basically not exists

Thanks. When i had the 4.2 generic spain rom on my xperia z (4.2 is not available yet through my carrier) i still didn't get any notification for the walman. I think it was v5 or 6 for walkman on that rom. Why would that be the case?
Because Sony doesnt push updates for each region at the same time.. i can understand this in case of fw updates but why apps?... Anyways you can still install apk file of the latest walkman app its the same, just different way of instalation..

Thanks - may be i'll try the central europe rom just to see wheter i get the updates
BTW, I love the 4.3 rom..its so smooth and amazingly fast. Battery is also slightly better. I hope the official sony 4.3 is release soon..

No, he didn't, it just have been approved!
I hope the official update could make the camera work better and deal with some other small troubles. maybe the cm9.0 from FXP will be a better choose. your think?who knows the real day of releasing cm9.0.
These restart issues you experience [Xperia Neo V] may be caused by an unexpected memory behavior and for this a new software release (4.0.2.A.0.6x) will be made available to improve the memory management. This goes for Xperia neo V and some other phone models with similar software.
The roll out of this is planned to start early next year - but please note that a software release depends on operator approval and timeline. All will not get it at the same time and I currently have no way to foresee when certain phones will get it.

After half a year Sony released the Firmware [4.1.B.1.13 ; Android 4.0.4] with just minor changes and shamed theirself again, because they fixed not even one bug. But it´s my assignment to do something for XDA, so I made a system dump of this firmware to download for everyone. You can download it here:

notification LED is not working when u go into STAMINA MODE because somwhere in the list ist app what is resposible for LED nottification and we are disabling it when we switch the screen OFF , when u DISABLE stamina mode it will work again. maybe its a bug..but maybe if we will know what SERVICE is resposible for LED notification then we can add it to STAMINA mode and it will work. i dont have too much time to test it . greetings

No I don't think that he's referring to LED Notifications in Stamina mode, for some people the LED Notifications don't work at all. (I'm one of those people) A factory reset also didn't help.
I did not encounter any update when i plugin to the computer with PC companion installed.

Italy here, running .350 out of the box. I just checked and Sony Bridge notifies me of a new software version. The device is working just fine, no problems with LED notifications or stamina mode, which is great, so I'm concerned: should I update, or not?

Am so used to having a rooted Samsung phone that I didn't realize that flashtool wipes the phone...time to test Sony's Back up and restore app from a back up I made earlier :fingers-crossed:
