Moto G USA version shipping delayed due to winter storm - Moto G General

Although I cancelled my order I still get the following email from Moto:
*
Hi
As you may have heard, large parts of the United States*were hit by winter storm Dion, including our fulfillment center in Fort Worth, Texas. Our operations are still recovering from the storm’s impact while also trying to keep up with the incredible demand for Moto G.
For these reasons, your phone order wasn’t shipped when we originally estimated. We sincerely apologize for the delay and want you to know that your Moto G will ship by December 17th via a free upgrade to overnight delivery. (We’ll still send you a shipping confirmation with tracking number so you can see a more accurate delivery day/time.)
We know how excited you are to receive your phone, and we’re so grateful you chose Moto G. Thanks again for your purchase—and for your patience.
Sincerely,
The Moto Maker*Team
P.S. - Some customers may see a charge of approximately $1.10 initially on their credit card statement. We’ll then charge the remaining balance once Moto G ships.

Availability BEFORE June 4th!

For those of you that have a corporate account with Sprint (IT managers and the like), I just got a hint dropped to me by my account rep that the device may actually launch for corporate customers at the beginning of the week.
So, bragging rights for three days may be possible
(remember Monday 5/31 is a national holiday)
According to my rep:
"I believe it will launch through the direct channel (me) the Sunday before the 4th (usually we launch on Sundays not Fridays)."
He promises specific details this Monday - I guess lots of his accounts are asking, as he mentions over 100 pre-orders for Evo's.
Anyone else manage a corporate account? What are your reps telling you?

Phone available is Motorola Defy XT for 249
Hi Tyler,
It’s time--we’re excited to offer you an invitation to join republic wireless. Before we jump into the purchase details, here’s some important information on the process...
Your private store invitation is good for up to two phones. You have the option to purchase our current phone immediately--the single-band Motorola DEFY XT; or wait for the dual-band version of the DEFY XT, which should be available later this year.
What’s the difference between the two phones?
Both phones have our signature “Hybrid Calling”--they work primarily on Wi-Fi, then when you’re not around Wi-Fi, they work on the Sprint cellular network. When you travel to areas outside the Sprint network reach, you “roam” onto another network.
Our current phone is a single-band version of the DEFY XT. “Single-band” means it roams onto just one frequency band--1900 MHZ --which covers most US metropolitan areas. A small percentage of our members have reported roaming issues using this device in rural areas (check out our recent blog post for more info). But for many, the single-band DEFY XT is a great fit. We suggest you check the single-band DEFY XT coverage map to help make your decision.
If you live in an area not covered by the single-band phone, you will want to wait for the dual-band phone. We’re working with Motorola to develop a dual-band version of the DEFY XT. Our intention is to make the dual-band phone available later this year. As soon as it’s available, we’ll email everyone in waves F and beyond who hasn’t used their purchase invitation. You’ll have the opportunity to purchase up to two dual-band DEFY XT phones using the instructions we send you.
Want to join republic and grab a single-band DEFY XT now? Here are a few things to expect:
Your invitation will end on 10/31/2012 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
You’ll pay the cost of your phone + a start-up fee (which includes your first month of service at $19, plus shipping for the phone).
Your card is charged when you order your phone, and it should arrive within 2-3 business days.
Want to bring your number to republic? You can set up a request to transfer your number after it arrives.
We offer a 30 day money back guarantee.
Ok. That’s it for now. Go grab your membership!

HTC reneged on $100 trade-in offer on HTC One

HTC has reneged on their offer of a $100 pre-paid VISA card, demonstrating that they are a disloyal and untrustworthy company, and here are the details: In March, 2013, HTC through promotional emails, offered a trade-in program for buyers of the upcoming HTC One smartphone. I registered my old Motorola MPX-220 phone for trade-in at that time, it qualified, and I received a confirmation email and confirmation code to enter later once I had purchased the HTC One, of which shipment of course was delayed due to parts shortages. HTC sent further emails to all recipients that they needed to purchase the One by May 19, and return their old phone by June 19. I purchased my One on preorder on April 4 and by the first of June, attempted to enter my promotional confirmation code into the website. It was then denied and not recognized as a valid code.
I contacted HTC support by phone and explained the situation. They eventually deferred me to their rebate partner, Clovis Technologies in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. After repeated attempts to get an answer from multiple people with this company, on June 17 a representative stated that my Motorola MPX-220 phone was no longer on their trade-in list, and there was nothing they could do about it, referring me back again to HTC. On June 19 I again contacted HTC, and after several days of waiting on a response, on June 29 a representative emailed me that Clovis’ decision was final, and that all they could offer was a $25 Google Play store credit for my inconvenience.
The point of my criticism of HTC is that THEY were the company making the original offer, and that THEY are the ones who have reneged on the offer of a pre-paid $100 VISA card. This in my opinion is evidence that despite the HTC One being a superior device, HTC now is an unprofessional, untrustworthy company that does not deserve customer loyalty or support, and should be avoided as a supplier at all costs. This incident I fear is a precursor of unsatisfactory support from HTC in the future, including possibly support for future software updates. (It is ironic that HTC is trying to make a “come back” with the One device, while today it was reported that their profits for this second quarter are down 83% from last year) As a new customer of theirs with my One, I truly wanted them to be successful, however with this personal incident, I now wish them to fail as a company and eventually disappear into insignificance. I warn any prospective customers to avoid purchasing HTC products now or in the future. Thanks for reading my description of this matter.
HTC =/= Clovis Technologies.
Sweet phone though, aye?

Who has pre-ordered, when, and has it arrived?

Someone has to start this one going..

I asked the at&t rep if they did and she said not that she knew of the only promotional offers she saw was 20% of lg tone headphones or that lg gpad x tablet for 99 cents.. My hope is that lg gives them to us for pre ordering or put something in the box that allows us to redeem them.. Fingers crossed

I found this on AT&T's website.
https://www.att.com/cellphones/lg/v20.html#sku=sku8080245
The fine print seems to cover all US Carriers & authorized dealers, which I imagine would include B&H/Best Buy/etc..... (Basically, all North American variants, international versions are not included)
Short of 100% certainty,my money says yes,B&H orders are included:
EDIT:
ATM,the link for the promotion listed in the italics below, doesn't have an option to select authorized retailers, only the 4 major US Carriers for now,so,a call to LG &/or the retailer might be a good idea before purchasing.
Buying from B&H w/o the offer would be OK for me,if the price difference/savings is significant.
No sales tax for most of us located outside of New York & already $30 less than AT&T,so,B&H is definitely a viable option vs the carriers.
The LG V20 H3 by B&O Play Earphones Promotion ("Promotion") is open to legal residents of the 50 United States, D.C., and Puerto Rico, age 18 or older who make a purchase of a new LG V20 device via any carrier or authorized retailers as outlined in the full Terms & Conditions. The purchase of an international LG V20 device is not eligible for this promotion. Void outside the U.S., and wherever else prohibited by law or regulation. To be eligible for this promotion all LG V20 purchases must be made Friday, October 7, 2016 through Friday, November 11, 2016 11:59 pm Eastern Time ("Promotion Period"). Participants who purchase a new LG V20 during the Promotional Period will receive a pair of H3 by B&O Play Earphones ("Earphones") if the submission is successfully registered online on or before Friday, December 2, 2016 11:59 pm Eastern Time.
To redeem online, visit www.lgv20launchpromo.com and enter the required information.
Quantities are limited. Allow 4-6 weeks for fulfillment of valid promotion requests. LG Electronics reserves the right to substitute or limit offer. Limit one (1) Earphone per person and per device. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, or incomplete orders. Sponsor: LG Electronics MobileComm USA, Inc. 1000 Sylvan Ave, Englewood Cliffs, NJ 07632.
Does anyone know if the unlocked has all the ATT bands, especially band 30?
Just looked on B&H website. It doesn't, which has means it's missing an important ATT band.

Yes according to frequencycheck.com the H910 (AT&T) has band 30 but the US996 (unlocked US Variant) does not.

We have some conflicting info floating around, namely comparing B&H & PDADB (dot) net:
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1285960-REG/lg_lgus996_ausatn_lg_v20_4gb_ram.html
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/FrameWork/northAmericaLinks.pdf
http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=10675&view=1&c=lg_us996_v20_lte-a
Neither guarantees 100% accuracy, although both are reasonably accurate at any given time.
The standard band listing @ B&H doesn't reflect AT&T having Band 30.
T-Mobile hasn't actually deployed Band 66 just yet,so,no mention of it,but, here's a list of markets slated to get it this year (YMMV):
http://www.tmonews.com/2016/08/t-mobile-aws-3-spectrum-deployments-2016/
http://www.fiercewireless.com/wirel...ws-3-spectrum-buildouts-later-year-ahead-at-t
https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=1dmJOxZiM4s5BMG_wYCeQz5GgxZo
Would be nice if both Bands 30 & 66 are actually included,we'll find out soon enough, perhaps one of the bloggers that'll get their hands on one will post a video/article stating which bands are present.
Just popped into an att store and it's on display. I thought it was fantastic. Perhaps a but big (like iPhone seven plus) but screen is fantastic and it's very responsive at switching apps. I am probably going to have to give up the Note7 (again) and if that's the case it will be for the v20.

Google customer service please read

I contacted Google Monday night about my Nexus protect program. Google could not find a record of my Nexus protect insurance. So they argued that I was wrong about purchasing the program. I emailed them a copy of my purchase from the Google payment center and the receipt generated from Google email to myself. That is the only way I could get them to believe that I had purchased the Nexus protect program. At this point I have 5 hours on the phone with Google sent a copy of my receipts and they told me it would be escalated to the hardware department once I gave proof of my receipts which I did immediately. I have spoke to 8 different people asking them to please honor my proof and send me another phone as I have cracked my screen. Google then said it would be one to two business days before the issue would be resolved and someone would contact me from the hardware department. It has now been 5 days and Google has done nothing to correct the situation and I even had to take a day off of work Tuesday as I was on the phone with Google from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. eastern time to prove to them that I had purchased the Nexus protect program. So I asked Google since they had made the mistake if they would reimburse my wages for the day and their answer was no which I expected. But the problem Still Remains the Same that the mistake was made on Google's part and not my part. I really didn't feel like that was an unfair question to ask being that they had no record that I had made the purchase. I did get a reply email saying that they apologized but could not honor reimbursing my wages. It is now Friday night and Google has done nothing to contact me other than the apology through an email and stating that the problem had been escalated in which four people Google employees have said to me on the phone and send a confirmation email stating the same thing. Again it is Friday night and if anyone reads this who works for Google I would appreciate a response as I paid for the Nexus protect I have two receipts and I have waited 5 days business days for the problem to be resolved. Monday evening if I hear from Google Monday evening in which I do not expect I'll have waited 7 days. I paid for the Nexus protect October 22nd 2015. I expect that my purchased be honored for the Nexus protect and I feel I should be compensated for the strenuous confusion that Google has made on it's part and for the day of lost wages because I had to prove that I had the receipts and even then they questioned and emailed receipt that Google sent me meaning they owned that email and stated that they could not see that they had sent me the email for my purchase of Nexus protect. Google also stated that they could not see my purchase of Nexus protect in my Google payment center history though they could see every other purchase I have ever made. My personal experience with Google at this point is that they have the worst customer service when they have made a mistake. And that they look at customers as a mediocre statistic. It is ridiculous that Google a billion dollar company has taken this Outlook over an $89 purchase of a cell phone insurance plan. I have purchased the last five Nexus devices produced by Google and have remained a valued customer. I can assure you I know from personal experience that Google values no one as a valued customer. I have emailed my phone number at this point and ask the Google Representatives who have emailed me to contact me in regards to my Nexus protect and receiving my new phone, or used phone, or refurbished phone. There has been no response after proving that I have the receipts. At this point I do not know what to do because I have called Google in California, the Google store. I have communicated through email and still yet after 5 days there has been no resolution to a mistake on Googles part. If anyone has any advice on who I might contact be at the Better Business Bureau or some form of governing body please reply to this post. Thank you for reading and hopefully Google never makes a mistake when you purchase something from them.
