I've called 3 local RS near me, neither of them had any info on the HTC One. OFC tried to get me to preorder the Crapsung S4 (no hate, just play on words ). I told each store the same thing; preorders started on the 5th, I can call corporate now and preorder (which I can). The thing is, none of the stores "have been given any communications about the HTC One or its preorders". I do not want to order it via corporate for 2 reasons. #1 I want the $50 Google Play credit *which most of that i use to donate to developers like Chad.Goodman and other hard-working individuals. And reason #2, I want it on the 19th, I don't want to wait a day or 2 or 3 before I can get it. #2 might sound silly, but it is my money and my device, so please do not trash-talk me about being impatient.
Does anyone have any insight in receiving the $50 credit and/or preordering?

From what I gather from their website is that purchases made via the website with in store pickup will have an email sent on or after the 9th of Dec, that gives a code to use at 10$ for every 100$ up to 50$ in total back that can be used on another purchase between Dec 9 and the 24th. That is about all I got from the info on their site when i made my purchase.

After reading it, I bet since the 16gb is $499.99 and the 32 is $549, they only give you $40 for the 16gb since it is under the 5th multiple of $100 by a penny.

I have a promo code that I'm not going to use after all. My wife wanted one but changed her mind today so it's up for grabs. I was going to come up with some elaborate puzzle to get the code but I don't have the time or motivation to do so.
