Donate to Dev...Otterbox Coupon - EVO 4G General

If there is a ROM DEV out there that is looking to buy an Otterbox Case, I want to donate a coupon I received directly from Otterbox for 15 dollars off and free shipping.
Devs only apply.
(I had a delay with an order and they very nicely sent me a coupon. In the email there is no expiration date but I received it in early November so it should still be good)

delete thread...I wanted to donate this to a DEV or someone who always helped out on this site but seems nobody wants to jump for it...
I'll ask a DEV if he / she wants it.

[REQ] Your support in helping Get a MT4G for Sykopompos cm7 Dev TEAM [Closed]

Well some of our developers are too modest and wish not to receive donations for phones etc. But I know the developers of cm7alpha Team, gridlock32404 are building for many different devices and putting out more builds than anyone can expect and making good progress. Now I know that gridlock32404 has already turned down one offer for a MT4G, and I thought I was going to have a extra one but that did not work out either. He is a very modest an humble developer and did not even want to except one from me for free. He wanted to give me another device in return which I would not have taken anyway.
He really likes the MT4G and would love to use it as his development device. But he has said he can get other developers to do the work on the MT4G stuff that he can't do. Well I say we just get him one and let him do all the work and testing on his own device.
I will contribute a big chunk of the first part with $150.00.

Thanks to all who Donated. It seems Sykopompos has fell on some hard times and is going to sell his MT4G instead of the tablet he got right after getting his MT4G. I can see why as the MT4G will bring the most money. I feel a little awkward about this and I will keep my own feelings about this to myself.
I will tell you I will never do this ever again, not for anyone. I just don't like the feeling of where this ended up.
In the end I wish Sykopompos the best and I hope he finds a job and everything works out for him.
Just send the donations to him. He has a link.
Also, anything you guys send to me since this all started, I have sent to him, just FYI. That will continue until he stops working on the mt4g.
You can keep sending them this way, and I'll make sure they go to him, but it would just be easier to send them straight to him.
put me in for $50 i get paid on the 15th so let me know when you need the donations after that day
EDIT: ok will do lol
Put me down for $50 also, will be getting that to him Friday

Thank you for holding, I appreciate your patience. The manufacturer has informed us that mobile.dailysteals.com is not an authorized reseller for their products. As a result, the manufacturer cannot verify the parts and accessories of this product as sold by this site.
12:44:06 PM AgentRodney
In order for this site to sell this product, it is either not new (direct from the manufacturer) or has been altered in some way and no longer contains original equipment. Therefore, we will not honor this price match request.
Retailers will say anything to keep from having to match a better price. Interesting that in 3 minutes they were able to get a response back from Motorola that some site is not an 'authorized reseller'. I sit on the phone with them for 15 minutes just trying to get to speak with someone!

My apologies for the misleading title!
Looks too good to be true...
where are you located.. That company is only 600 miles or so from me maybe less. I will give them a call if they still have them mid week..
thanks for the link..
Located in Central Texas. I didn't care if the thing had to come from alaska! I LOVE XDA and my Sam Cap phone so I was fiending for more dev action on a tablet. SCOURED the internetz realm for over a week strait 8+ hrs daily looking for the "BEST" deal ^_^.

The 5 star review from Feb 8th is mine. BTW the $209.99 doesn't include shipping. When I purchased my A500 about three weeks ago, the tablet was on their site for $199.99!!!! You still have to pay around $30 shipping, but hey... you can't beat this deal ANYWHERE!!! It takes amazon's sellers out to dinner and never calls them again...
For those who aren't inclined to click....

"I don't know why there are so many negative reviews. My experience with PCPARTSOHIO.COM was VERY pleasant. They returned my emails in under 24 hours of working business days. NO COMPLAINTS. I have full faith in ordering from this company. Reason being; I ordered an ACER A500 TABLET 16GB from their site. I was skeptical, but said what the heck. I'll risk my $234.99 shipped strait to my door. This was the BEST and CHEAPEST price on the ENTIRE INTERNET after I scoured www.shopwiki.com www.aliexpress.com www.amazon.com www.ebay.com and MANNNNNYYYY other sites. I emailed the company about refund and return policies in case of DOA or other problems. I was politely informed that they have a 90 day return policy. Excellent! I was so anxious to put my order through; I never waited for a response regarding these questions. They responded promptly @10:30am on the following Monday (order placed on Saturday). Informing me I would receive a tracking # when my package shipped in 2-7 business days from UPS. I was also informed that they work with liquidations that’s why it may be delayed to ship. I said that was fine and eagerly awaited the email. I never received (to my knowledge) a tracking email. I may have missed it since I receive multiple emails an hour, and never clean my inbox. All in all, I WILL do business with them again. Soon, in fact. I will be ordering my wife a tablet as well. They are great. I was also informed that it may arrive with a scratch or two from shipping process, although there were NONE!!! The package arrived exactly 7 days from the day my card was charged (Monday). Everything worked right out of the box. There was no original packaging, which I was well aware of. One Charger, One Tablet. One ecstatic man. I am super pleased with www.pcpartsohio.com

PS: The tab came with a charger and the Tablet itself. Nothing else. BUT!~!!~~ It was shipped with NO scratches AND stock 3.0 or 3.1 I believe!! I OTA updated with out knowing I needed original stock to root. Lol took me about an hour to revert.... Tablet is running STRONG today. As it does every day! Ordered a green silicon case from amazon with screen protector for around $7.00.
*edit: IDK if they have a mandatory shipping rate or if the prorate for the area of travel erica so it could be more or less depending on location. My shipping costs personally were 34.99. I totaled the order to my door for $234.99. Best money my wife has ever spent lulz i'm in the market for buying her one soon too! Can't wait for stable ICS with full function.... *Drools*
Thank you very much for the information and reply back so soon..I have had the a500 since April since last year i pre ordered mine from BB.. EVEN thou im not a best buy fan..
again Thanks
Thats a steel of a deal right there
Erica..... In case you haven't looked all the way through the seller's site, the catch is in the shipping, see attached quote......
UPS Ground -- $35
UPS BLUE (2nd Day) Place Order by 1 PM EST -- $55
UPS Red (Overnight) Place Order by 1 PM EST -- $69
UPS 3 Day Select (shipped next business day) -- $49
My order would have come to $244.99 which is a far cry from $209. At the finished price i.e. $245 and a possible unknown time taken to ship, it doesn't honestly seem such a great deal especially as daily deals are being offered on the A500 in anticipation of the release of the Tegra 3 machines.

No problem! I love to help! Especially when it deters people from Ipad/Iphone/Ipod... not flaming them I am just pro-open source. The fact that Apple will electronically murder your phone if they find out you jailbreak..... reminds me of the southpark episode "Humancentipad"..... sorry I had to bring that up >.< so gross.... like apple... *cough*.... again this is just an opinion so nobody get disgruntled please. ^_^
Oh yeah i'm not a BB fan either except for test runs! It's awesome to have everything you can get online for half as much right at your fingertips for pre-purchase testing!

Yeah this is true that the shipping is the catch... I myself did not notice this til I was ready to check out. Just choose ground.... doesn't take long. If you are someone scouring the internet today or soon or have been and you want a good deal this is one... Again It was $199.99 when I bought a couple of weeks ago so no telling if it will drop again soon... a good site in general for random computer parts(yeah that was off topic so sue me ) But for those poor souls out there looking on Amazon or ebay because that's the only sites they know, this does help. Why pay $350 on amazon or $280+ on ebay? I know we are in a not so fluffy economy and I for one LOVE to save ten dollars... let alone a hundred... or two...
~Much love to the community.
Just ordered one for a friend. Total with plain ole ground shipping, $244.99! Thanks for the heads up.
thats a steal!!!

Great find! This is cheaper than I've been buying them off of Craig's List!
I went to buy one of these, but one the page that I was supposed to enter my credit card info, I noticed that Google Chrome says it wasn't safe.
Here is the definition they gave:
"The site uses SSL, but Google Chrome has detected either high-risk insecure content on the page or problems with the site’s certificate. Don’t enter sensitive information on this page. Invalid certificate or other serious https issues could indicate that someone is attempting to tamper with your connection to the site."
I sent their support an email. Don't think I will order from there until they explain this.
very low rating....
resellerratings.com/store/PC_Parts_Unlimited
I'm officially calling Shenanigans on this company and anyone promoting them. Their business ratings are abysmally bad and it's clear that their site fakes customer ratings.
There's no free lunch, and I highly doubt anyone ordering one of these red herrings will receive an A500 in any kind of reasonable condition. Judging by what other customers have said about their purchases at PC Parts Unlimited, you'll get something that was used, in a flood, inoperative, and possibly stolen. Use a reputable dealer.
My dad and I just ordered a pair from here. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

Probably won't get much luck with this. Ebay and Paypal take a huge cut of the profits.
The item plus tax would roughly equate to
$385 (NYC City Taxes)
Include international shipping, let's assume $30
Price = $415
Ebay takes a 10% cut
10% = $41.50
Paypal takes 3.4%
If it's from $385, it'll be $13.90; however, if it's from $415, it'll be $14.11
So the total cost would be
Final Price = $470.61
And then, let's assume we're not getting nickled and dimed. This amount of money would be frozen until paypal releases the funds, and verifies that you received the shipment. If you never get the phone, or say you didn't get it. I'm out nearly $500.
Only way someone would agree to this, is if you make the payment as a donation, which is even riskier for you.

Thx, dude! Could you figure out a method to reduce the cost with less risk at the same time? I really like this device!
the new coupon should be binded with your name/phone number/mail address. I don't think it will work for others.

It is not bound to your email address or name.
To the OP: if you want security in the transaction, you have to pay those transaction fees. One of the main reasons that they charge transaction fees is to cover the risk.
You don't have to go through eBay and pay that extra 10%. You can pay directly through Paypal for only the 3.4% fee, just make sure you select that you're paying for goods and you're not doing a "gift" transaction. Put a clear description of what you're paying for in the description field. If you want, list it on a site like Androidforums.com or something so there's a genuine for-sale listing with pictures.
The "seller" (the person buying the phone for you) should ship delivery confirmation to your verified Paypal address.
This minimizes risk for both parties, but there's still SOME risk involved, and frankly if it were me, I wouldn't be doing this for a coupon code that people are giving away on here and elsewhere, and selling for $10 on eBay. I'd need to be making a profit off this in order for it to be worthwhile.
I offered my buddy to ship him Moto with Priority International with insurance.....might offer you same deal $520. usually takes 10-14 business days
thx buddy! I have contacted a friend living in the usa. your advice is very useful for my purchasing in the future!
