Here is a Little Tutorial for making a 5 Button Navigation Bar mod. This tutorial should work in all sony devices that running Android version 4.1 and above. Tested in 4.4.4 too. Works well.

U all know that the Default Navigation Bar comes with only 3 Buttons. Back , Home and Recent Apps. So this little tutorial will help u to add extra two buttons (Very useful at some times) to the Navigation bar. One is Power Button and Next is Menu Button.

(1) Decompile ur SystemUI.apk and go to res/drawable-xxhdpi folder.Then download ,extract and move the " TWO " attached pngs to that folder. It will ask for replace. Click yes. Do the same in “drawable-xhdpi“ folder too. Not necessary. But just do.
For Device With XHDPI Add the Pngs to XHDPI Folder
For Device With HDPI Add the Pngs to HDPI Folder
(2) Then go to res/values folder and find ids.xml file. Open it with Notepad++ ( Right Click and then Edit With Notepad++ ) . Then add this line at the end

(3) Now go to res/values/strings.xml and add this line at the end

(4) Then go to res/layout and find navigation-bar.xml and open it with Notepad++. U can find this

I flashed the zip file via cwm. I wiped cache, and dalvik cache, flashed the zip. Still didn't get 5 button navigation bar, I still just have the home, back, and small apps icon. Did I do something wrong? Ps I have deodex 67 stock rom. I want to have 5 buttons so bad.

some apps like systemUi for making centered clock and support transparency, settings for making MBE and xLoud works on option, and I've made a new updater-script for CM7 Grif_07, 'cause in updater-script I add some script to remove some apps. I think won't work properly on another CM7 except CM7.1 Grif_07. how do you think?

Tab pngs in framework-res and twframework-res .. you should be aware on how to edit .9.pngs.
If I am not mistaken you need to:
1. Decompile your app.
2. Edit your .9.png with gimp or photoshop.
3. Use the .9.png editor that came with android sdk to verify your changes.
4. Recompile your app.
5. Test and repeat if necessary.
Correct me if I am wrong.

Tried that bro.. used apk manager to compile the apk and it was not giving any errors... seems like I gotta see the files in other roms

The fcs are coming from wrongly made .9 pngs.Like i said before,dont touch the dark lines and dots which determine the content and stretchable area.Cut of the part which you want to modify,make modifications and merge it with the surrounding lines again.Like bumslayer said,you can use draw9patch tool from sdk.But that's an extremely time consuming process.It'll let you convert any png to .9 patch png but only one at a time.
Here's what I use: xUltimate-D9PC
This one "compiles" the .9.png files. All you have to do now is drag them to the res/drawable-ldpi folder of the apk without even decompiling the app with apktool. Easy, no?
And yes, you can thank me now (credits to the original poster, of course).

Thanks!! My status bar is in initial stages and would look very different from that.
Guys I am pissed off now!! I use activity_title_bar from USSR and it works but when I make my own it FC's!! I have applied 9 patch and tried all sorts of stuff!! I have no option other than to copy png from his rom... is it an offence here?? Cuz these days people are getting sued for copying.

Friend did not understand the tutorial ... can add some images!
Umm... this is basically the same as making ANY layout change in any Android application .
You don't have to do this in just Settings! This can be done in ANY app.
However, this resolution will be different in different devices like XXHDPI, XHDPI, and the XXXHDPI on the uber resolution devices. You really should just look at the border sizes (typically 10-20px per edge, depending on the resolution of the device.).
Oh, and don't forget to RESIGN the apk. Some devices may not play nice with an Altered Settings application that isn't signed with system-level keys.

Here are original apk's from Xperia ZU system dump, ported to work on JB 4.3.
Whole porting process was done on my Xperia ZQ (ZL) running lastest JB 4.3 firmware, but they should work on any JB 4.3 device/firmware (to be confirmed)!
Warning:
As you know (I hope so), every device has its own framework-res.apk with its own resources/ids and the SystemUI.apk inherits a lot of them at run-time, so, if you install on a "non-ZQ" device 4.3 and face some wrong resources (pngs, strings, animations, ...) at your screen, it is a normal behavior, and this means that some SystemUI.apk edits are necessary to match your framework-res.apk resources.

- If you have Serajr Xperia Xposed v2 installed, update it with this version and reboot!
- If you have any other xposed module that hooks SystemUI.apk, disable it!!!
Serajr Xperia Xposed Users:
- Disable main System UI (Enable customizations) preference
- Disable Full Screen Mode under Power Menu
- Some Xperia Home features will not work

Install instructions:
1. Update Xperia Xposed from above link (if applicable)
2. Enable SuperUser Mod From Xperia Xposed Module ( eXistenZ Users Don't Need To Do That )

We could find some nice icons or redraw them...

I Did Not Touch Any Of The Transparent Parts. Its Same Like As The Original One.. Because You Have Xposed Modules Available For That. I Can Make That But Its Waste Of My Time. That's It...

Only Xperia P firmware is deodexed System by itself.. All other Xperia Devices have odexed System by default. So in theory ur devices is probably a odexed one.
@Rajeev can you check and if found this problem , fix them?
