Your friend can contact Glass support and an if his form got submitted in time. If it did then you shouldn't have anything to worry about!

Its kind of hard to contact them when their chat and email is offline. Finally got email to work and then had a new window for chat pop up and that one works. Talking to a csr now. And the email is on its way to me. Says to reply before midnight tonight, and it takes up to 2 days for you to get the code to unlock a one time in-store credit that's good till December 31st. And all the accessories I want are out of stock?

Why couldn't you use the coupon on the current deal and then return the phone for a refund? Makes no sense.

I have an RMA for my Dev GSM X and bought a new one today. Tried to convince Moto support to just give me a $150 refund rather than ship back a perfect device, but they flat out refused. Ok, RMA'ing a perfectly good phone at Moto's expense. Makes no sense.

Yeah I didn't get that either. Now they have a phone that they cant sell as "new" anymore. Oh well, their loss.

The email says the coupon code will arrive about 2 days after they receive the reply back from you with the information they asked for. Since they extended the sale the code would have to get here before the sale ends to use it and the earliest I see getting the code is Thursday.
Is the deal on Wednesday and next Monday only for motomaker or are they going to open it up for Dev editions as well?

From my understanding its only for moto maker phones as the dev editions sold out. Doesn't hurt to check the site Wednesday and Monday just to be sure.

There were other ways to get into chat yesterday besides the main support page. I got in by sending an email to customer support which then popped up a chat window which was working. The email I received said you could only apply for the in-store credit until midnight last night, it was only good on full priced, unbranded phones (not a carrier phone) purchased from the Motorola website after November 18th.

I asked the CSR during my session and she told me the coupon is good for any purchase on Motorola.com, including phones. The reason I was okay with getting a coupon is because I had planned to buy a Moto G as a gift, so I made sure to ask her.

It makes sense for people who, like me, had planned to buy stuff from the store. This should be easier than processing a return, leave alone the fact that we don't know when Moto Maker is really going to be fixed.

Nope. I think they'll hold off till after the sale tomorrow so people dont get the phone for $350-$150 ($200). Don't quote me though, I'm just speculating.

Actually 2 business days would be Thursday, you can't count Monday.

If you want to buy the devices but dont have the money yet you could claim it and when you need to pay for it at the paypal screen drop out and the devices will stay in pending payment... worked for me

Would probably cost the same as getting it from Google Play when you account for shipping and exchange rate.

same even though Google has better long term RMA i save shipping fee plus can exchange in store if there are any issues...
I checked with my prime shipping account and its only $3.99 too next day it. Super cheap i may buy it through amazon . Unless anyone has a reason why it matters if we buy directly through google.
I'm kinda leaning towards Amazon.com though. $6 shipping, but altogether comes to $453 USD. Convert that to CAD and it's still only $510, as opposed to the $530 total from Future Shop/Best Buy. Mainly because $400 USD != $470 CAD, it's only around $450 or so. I'm not sure about the RMA process though, that's probably the only thing keeping me from pre-ordering on Amazon right now.

Amazon's customer service is great. They'll replace your tablet if it has any problems for free. Google should still cover the 1 year warranty.

Those of you waiting on the Play store are nuts imho. I've been screwed by Google bungling my preorders twice and will buy anywhere else... like Amazon who tends to know how to get things to their customers. Google does a lot of good things but getting stuff shipped properly is not one of them.
