Agreed.
In my opinion this little device is not receiving as much love as it deserves.
at least let it have a small fanclub of geeks

Agreed! We need one for sure. I'm loving the device so far.

has anyone received the 4.3 update yet? seems like i'm the only one.

I haven't. I have 3 of them in my household and we received a 4.2.2 update a few days ago. Not sure what that was about as we all were already on 4.2.2.
I'd love if you could get the OTA.zip and upload it to dropbox or somewhere for us fellow tinkerers

are you the same guy on EVGA forum who bought 3 TN7?
I really don't know how to get the OTA.zip. is it possible to get from my own tablet?
honestly i'd think you should wait, as my update gave me some problems with my tablet. I hope the issues get fixed. i've contacted EVGA and we've emailed back/forth. not sure how it's going on a fix though.

Yep, I'm the same guy. I haven't registered on EVGA yet, was hoping Nvidia was gonna give us a dedicated forum like the Shield got. That is a bummer that someone messed with the spreadsheet you made.
Yeah you can get it from your tablet. Although, now that I think about it, it probably isn't accessible due to not having root access. Hmmm, that sucks about 4.3. Hopefully they get it fixed. If they really are having issues with it, they should probably just scrap it and focus on 4.4. 4.4 on my Nexus 4 is really nice.

Please where can I get the tegra note 7 I wanna buy online and can't seem to get it pls forward me any direct link to a store in the us or email me pls [email protected] its verrrry urgent

spread sheet isn't mine.

Silly question maybe. Did you find any case for the tablet? Something protective that still keeps tablet's buttons and ports accessible without removing from the case.

I have one coming, but in the long run isn't going to work for me. not near enough protection for the tablet. Personally would either like a nice ballistic style case, or maybe a nice leather one with a Bluetooth keyboard, or space for one.

Agreed this is just the flap not the cover. I will be looking for something more all-aroud. From my experience (mistake) and don't get Belkin "universal" 7" sleeve case and in general be very aware in terms of any so cold universal cases as most of them are prepared for 4:3 screen ratio (iPad mini). Tegra Note 7 is rather long device and simply stick out of these cases.
so still looking for a protective pouch or dedicated all around case.

So I'm guessing this device won't be getting a forum of its own?

Still hope that XDA admins will hear us. On the other hand soon HP slate 7 Extreme will be released so more owners of Tegra Note will come.
This may be a solution for our search for case as HP is releasing portfolio cade for its version of tegra note.

It would make sense as this tablet has so many varients it should become rather popular. Advent Vega, evga, xolo, hp extreme etc.
Should be getting mine tomorrow

[DISCUSSION] Desire Z development..who will be in??

I think i'm not the only one that hates senseUI so my following questions are:
1. what developers would put the effort to max this phone to it's best?
2. Will we have cyanogen?
3. will we have screen calibration?(i really god used with true color rather than "blue pushed" colors).
Please if any developer would love to put a bit of comfort to our hearts please post here that you would do the best for this phone
So looking forward for it!
Edit: posible to swich roms from G2 to z and other way? that would be nice, theoretically it's very posible same hardware!
looks like the G2 will have stock froyo(not sure) but i really hope we can cyanogen mod on this thing! still don't think desire z is going to replace n1 on the priority list.

You are quite right, but alao g2 might take the place of n1,and g2=desire z,it'q all a matter of rooting i think.
Damn i will really miss the led flash from n1) really really usefull for me.
LED flash? G2 also has a flash with its camera, if thats what you mean..
Also, to your 3rd point, if you're talking about the blue tinge issues and such, these screens won't have those issues as they're not AMOLED's, but SLCD's.
Aaaa sry i mean trackball led flash.

but no led track ball though still wonder if it'll steal the crown from the n1. afterall desire z isn't a "google experience" phone.

dang. i was hoping for super amoled display. well atleast with slcd we won't be getting anymore burnin. hopefully.
Unfortunately for now, Only Samsung has the rights to use S-AMOLED. Its their tech anyways. But I believe from next year fall onwards they will start selling S-AMOLED screens to other manufacturer's.
For me S-amoled is not that interesting anymore, really curios about this S-lcd and it's multitouch capabiliti really hope is better than n1 or desire.

Cyanogen tweeted earlier this month saying that he's getting a G2, so I think it's safe to say that the G2/Desire Z will have lots of developer/hacker support. Honestly, that's part of the reason I'm so excited about the G2. I'll likely be keeping it for the full 2 year contract, so having a phone that's so supported by XDA is a huge advantage.

Totally agreed, I stuck with the G1 till now which definetly would not have been possible without everyone at XDA. You think that maybe Cyanogen might make a Non-Sense version and a Sense version of the ROM?

I've been done something useful on Motorola Milestone and I've ever been in HTC WiMo devices modding etc.
Selling Milestone, HTC Desire Z already ordered and waiting for its arrival. I'm in.
First of all, we have to see if it's unlocked, then we can play with the system: putting Sense on CyanogenMod maybe is possible, we'll see. I'll do better than I can.
-kholk.
I'm a little curious which one would work on at&t 3g. I prefer no sense and think cyanogen will support that before sense.

A Question about Cases

I'm normally not one to run out and pick up a device right away, but this one was calling to me. Though I have to admit I'm a little worried is that there seems to be a almost no options as far as cases go. There's the official Acer one, and then there's a +$100 case, but as far as cases built for the A500 that's all I can find. Is that fairly common for a tablet that's been out as long as ours, or is it a sign that ours' will not be very well supported by the accessory makers?
I just bought the crappy Acer one. It's better than nothing. I for one hope otterbox makes one.

Cracking Bezel

Hi. I'm thinking of getting the note 2. Considering that it shares many things with the s3 does it have the cracking bezel issue like the s3? Just want to confirm.

I certainly hope not, especially after hearing how Samsung are fobbing everyone off. .. As far as I can tell it was just a problem with the white one's?
Another reason I love the grey
Been using it for around a week now. Its fine so far.
I surely hope that it doesn't have the same issue. Planning on getting a non warrantied one since the difference is $120 compared to one with 1 year warranty.

Mine is perfect as well cant find a fault anywhere,
No cracks here. Mine is white. But that would be a serious problem.
Btw, I had problems with both my SGS II and SGS III DOA's so I would def. pay for warranty.

[Q] Information about buying a UK Nexus 10

Hi all, I just wanted to know if I buy the 32gb nexus from google play store it is the full uk version becuase the price is way higher on ebay-amazon etc for a uk version, is there a reason why google play is so much cheaper? Also i just came from a Onda v972 which suffered from bad firmware and lag/force closes, is the nexus nice and smooth and reasonably error free most of the time and fast? Thanks for the possible help guys

No. Google are selling faulty products hence why they are so cheap. And again, no, google are not choosing to update their own tablets. It's about as smooth as sand paper.
Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk 2
Google Play store prices are almost always the cheapest for Nexus devices. Amazon and the like are using the fact that the 32gb model is always out of stock to push up the prices.
It's a pretty stable product - I've kept away from modding mine (yet!) and have had only one time when I had to reboot it -got stuck trying to change a lockscreen widget. Worked on the second attempt.

Thanks a lot for the reply, i was just wondering why amazon and ebay still sell them so high when stocks are building up in google play. I have seen some great benchmark videos but had soooo much trouble with the so called "powerfull" onda that I wondered if any tab is quick enough.
Can't compare it to other tabs but it makes my Galaxy Nexus look really slow and that's overclocked with custom rom and kernel.

I sent an email to Motorola asking about enabeling 1080p 60fps recording and...

I havea Verizon model phone and so I can't root it to do this and get 1080p60 recording.
I figured I'd reach out to Motorola and say "hey. This feature would be great, and it's obvious that the phone is capable, so could you consider adding it in? Instead of a generic "Yeah, thanks, we'll forward your comments to our team" and then nothing ever happens, I got this non-answer that shows that not only will nobody important at Motorola ever hear this, but the lady who got stuck with me doesn't even understand what I'm asking. I attached a picture of the conversation so far. It starts with the oldest/first message at the bottom. Safe to say, unless more people bring this up, and SOMEHOW get Motorola's attention, it's never gonna happen, and Motorola is just holding out on us, punishing us for not spending more money ($400+ isn't enough?) on a higher-end device.

Nah, see, most companies would've just gave me some textbook "Thanks for your feedback. We'll send it to someone who cares." And then nothing happens. I would've been happier with that. This lady just happened to screw up by showing me that not only did she not understand what I wanted, she also wasn't gonna even try or pretend to care, or pretend to forward my inquiry to someone who would.
Seems they have a text module system. None of these answers looks like it needs more than 3 seconds to click it together. You don't need to read the mail, just mark the key points. It is a waste of man power, ELIZA could have handled better I guess .

The camera appears noticeably improved in the Z2 but I've only had it a day. It also has the nav fingerprint sensor like the g5 plus. 7.1 is better on this phone. Hopefully the z will get it on all versions too.
