I have tried every code mentioned, in here, that was successful for others but not for me.
I started by buying my Galaxy S4, out right, at Walmart for use on Family Mobile. Poor signal everywhere except in my house. The phone has T-Mobile support as far as towers go. After about three weeks I had my phone number transferred to Straight Talk and they sent a SIM card for use with AT&T support. The phone was purchased as an unlocked phone, I did all the codes in this forum to check and sure enough, it is supposed to be unlocked, BUT, every SIM card I get from Straight Talk gives me "INVALID SIM CARD" when I boot up the phone then a black screen comes on with a subdued color message saying, "Sim network unlock PIN" and all the help from Family Mobile, T-Mobile, Straight Talk, Walmart and AT&T, have not helped my situation. I can't write a new APN and store it because I have an invalid SIM card. I have tried the service mode and did everything mention in these forums but no luck so far.
I really like the device(my NOT-Phone) but it does not function as a phone. Can anyone help with this one?

No warranty in Walmart?!
If it connects to T-Mobile towers out of the box, can you borrow a T-Mobile SIM from soneone and go through the SIM unlock procedure? I'd do that just to make sure it's SIM unlocked. Then try Straight Talk with whatever APNs they use. Do this on stock and once you can confirm you get that far and it's working then go crazy. Good luck.

If I put the original, 1st SIM (Family Mobile) that I bought, back in, I do not get the Unlock Sim code message but I also do not have service because I already had the number ported. I've been that route. I tried the APN routine but it won't save because I don't have service with that SIM card. I go into the unlock routine through the service mode and it says it's already unlocked. Any Sim card from Straight Talk gives me Invalid SIM.
I'm going to return it to Walmart and try another phone.

Hi all,
I got a HTC Ozone from Verizon. I know this phone supports CDMA/GSM networks. My phone is working on a CDMA network but it also comes a SIM card.
I have the following 2 questions:
If I remove that SIM card the phone still works on the CDMA network.
1. Does anybody know what is that SIM card for?
I have also tried to remove that SIM card and insert a SIM card that I have from AT&T. The phone just says that the card is invalid but it doesn't ask me for any unlocking code.
2. How do I enter the unlocking code on this phone?
Thanks a lot and sorry if this has already been asked but I haven't been able to find anything.

To answer your questions -
(1) The Pre-installed sim card is a VZW sim that allows you to use the phone internationally on GSM networks. You would pay international rates to VZW for that.
(2) Go here to learn how to unlock your Ozone for FREE!!!!!!

I did this and am able to use a t-mobile sim and At&t sim in the phone. You just have to make sure to have the phone in GSM network mode.

hey guys,
I got the unlock code from Verizon (actually my company got it for me because I'm not the owner of the account) However, I don't know how to enter it.
If I insert a different SIM card (e.g. AT&T) it just says that the SIM card is invalid, and it doesn't give me the option to enter the unlock code like with other phones. I also tried to change the network to GSM.
Any ideas how I can do that?
Thanks
ok, I think I found it. Unfortunately they got an invalid code so they have to go through the whole process again
One slight problem for some of us, like me:
I'm about to purchase Ozone off-contract from VZ. VZ rep told me I'd have to put it on an account for 6 months in good standing to even get a consideration to be unlocked.
$350 for this? This is frickin' anti-competitive bull****, I'd be paying full price un-subsidized for the phone, I deserve an unlock.

I found mine already unlocked off eBay for about $290. It was an auction so obviously I can't claim you would pay the same, but it is an option if you don't want to submit to their rules.
as far as how long u have to be under contract... i was told by global support you have to have been a customer to 90 days prior to the unlocking and in good standing.
I upgraded a different line to get the ozone... put it on my primary account that same day and had it unlocked five minutes later. I think u talked to the wrong rep.

Wrong rep? I was at a corporate Verizon store where their Small Business Specialist told me that.
Yep... wrong rep... Global support is different then Small Business Reps.
How many times has one rep told you something that was contradicted by another rep?
I was simply telling you what I was told right before they unlocked my sim.
As a matter of fact, I just bought a BB Tour off eBay that i put on my account and had it unlocked through global support within 5 minutes. Only requirement was I have been a VZW Customer for more than 90 days and I am in good standing.
Shoot, if you want maybe I'll activate your phone for you on my account and unlock it...

Hi all, how to enter code in that phone?
My unlocked Tilt broke, and all I can find on Craigslist is an HTC Ozone. My unlocked Tilt is on T-mobile, so I can't call Verizon to get an unlock code
Is there another way to do this?

where I work we do not get VZW anywhere in the building. AT&T actually came in and installed repeaters so I plan on getting an AT&T prepaid and put the sim in my phone then I can just switch networks. Is that possible?
I unlocked 2 phones with www.unlock-now.com they work great and fast. I unlocked an HTC Imagio and an HTC Ozone.
go the unlock code from htcunlockcode.info and following instructions came along the code.
1. Switch to GSM mode
2. Go to Personal
3. Go to Security
4. It will says "Please enter the sim unlock code to disable the SIM lock"
5. Enter unlock code.
6. Reboot.
Worked fo me! hope the instructions will be helpful, as I see lot of people asking this in different forums.

Just bought brand new Samsung Galaxy S4 SGH-M919 from private owner. Original provider was T-Mobile but switched plans to Straight Talk from Wal-Mart & got micro-SIM for their service. Although it doesn't give an Unlock SIM card message, I've followed steps for that but no luck. When I go to make a call, it gives me an error message "Not registered on network". Are there any other suggestions?
Do a search for other networks... It should find some so that you can choose which one you want to use.
kind regards

I have a t mobile gs4 i have a at&t straight talk Sim all ready running in a gs3. but I wanted to put a straight talk t mobile Sim in my gs4 its from t mobile, but i bought it off the street so I'm not sure if its unlocked. I have a straight talk t mobile Sim the phone reads it but when I try to make a call it says {not registered on network.} So can anyone help me out please. Or should I just put my at&t straight talk sim in it and get the unlock code and run that one. Cause when i put the at&t one in it says enter unlock code.
According to one of the mods at Android Central you can switch a 900v to tmobile and get full lte speed by manually changing the apn. No need to switch to band 4. Is this true? Has anybody done it? I would love to stick in a tmobil3 sim and try it while retaining the option to go back to vzw unlimited data if tmobile signal is unsatisfactory. Thanks for your help!
900v on Tmobile
I have tried my wife's t-mobile $30/month no contract Sim card in my Sm-900v and it works great. I got 4g lte and the down load speed was 43mb. It was faster then my Verizon speed of 15mb. The t-mobile Sim card automatically stored the apn on the phone but if it does not just manually add the apn.I did verify that my band 4 was already enabled.. Band 4 has to be enabled to use on T-Mobile BUT you do not have to disable band 4 if you want to go back to verizon leave it alone. For what i understand Verizon enables band 4 out of the box so just get a cheap pre- payed card and try it out for a month. Hope this helps you out.
So no need to call for unlock code? Tmobile guy said they woildnt give me a sim without it

I bought my phone used so I do not know if it was factory unlocked.. 2nd you can just go to any store that sells t-mobile sim cards and buy a prepaid Sim card. I bought mine online from t-mobile (out of convenients) they mailed it to me.. no need to go to t-mobile store. Again buy a cheap Sim to test on your phone. Worse case if your phone is carrier locked you will only lose $30. Or if you have a friend with a different carrier try there Sim card to see Iif your phone is unlocked or not. Also you can just call Verizon customer support and just ask for the unlock code it's free.
Where does the code go? Is there a setting where?
As soon as you install new sim card and reboot phone first thing it will ask you for a unlock code.. you will enter code on same screen. If it does not ask you for a unlock code then your phone is not locked then enjoy your new tmobile phone.
Sent from my SM-N900V using XDA Free mobile app
Thanks for the 411.
No problem hope it helps you.
Hit the thanks button if i helped you
This is probably something silly and small but I'm pulling my hair out trying to fix this. I bought a G4 play XT1607 unlocked from Best Buy the other week. I also purchased a tracfone SIM activation kit. The kit had 2 sim cards, one GSM and one CDMA. Since I used Verizon service previous to my foray into prepaid plans, I activated the phone with the CDMA SIM card and registered the IMEI with Tracfone. Then I was able to successfully unlock the bootloader following the motorola official procedures, put on TWRP and flashed a LineageOS ROM w/ SU and OpenGAPPS. It worked fine for a couple of days and then *poof* my internet data would no longer connect at all. I rebooted several times and got nothing.
I then saw that there is some LTE/wifi handoff bug and I figured, no biggie, I'll swap my tracfone service to the GSM SIM and pop it in and it'll be good to go. Not so. At first, in fastboot, the screen was saying <Baseband not found> and I couldn't even place a phone call. The phone still doesn't seem to recognize the SIM card and doesn't show any cellular connectivity. I've tried flashing AOKP, LineageOS (both 7.1) and the stock 6.0.1 deodexed several times. I've tried this thread here and using it's 2.35-1 Radio file with the above ROMs which I installed using TWRP as well. None of this is seeming to work so I called Tracfone and they said it should be working and must be on my end. So following this I decided to go fully to flash fully back to stock. I used this file:
https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/harpia/official/RETUS/
and followed these directions
https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4-play/how-to/guide-return-to-stock-firmware-recovery-t3551797
Phone seems to be working fine other than not getting any kind of cellular signal. Even though it should be "factory fresh now" When I called tracfone they didn't seem to sure of themselves and told me it would activate within 2 hours and to call back if I had issues. It's been 4 hours now an dNo sign of signal. Did I mess something up here? Does tracfone need to do something on their send since this phone/IMEI was used previously on their service as CDMA? Or can I just "pop the new SD card and go" Or do I just need to add something like APN settings or similar to get what I have working? I don't want to call tracfone again if I don't have to because they didn't seem to know what to do when I explained it to them and sounded incredulous that one phone did both CDMA and GSM to begin with.
Can anyone help me? I'd like to use this GSM SIM card in my unlocked XT1607 (RETUS). This phone was previously on the same tracfone account with the same phone number but on their CDMA network. What gives? Is this something I messed up or tracfone needs to deal with?
I did some more research and I'm pretty sure this is on Tracfones end. I believe they still have it registered as a CDMA device and it's ignoring my GSM SIM when I turn it on.

I don't think that's the issue. Did you set an APN for Tracfone? With the GSM SIM, you have to configure the APN.
Tracfone's site says to go to apn.tracfone.com but that site gives an error. I did find this: http://apn-settings.com/tracfone-apn-settings-step-by-step-configuration-guide/
Or you can check on Howardforums or Turks.
Also G4 Play, also Tracfone BYOP. I, however, did GSM from the getgo to avoid something like this. On my phone, when I installed Lineage, my MEID disappeared entirely (it only shows my IMEI in settings). SIM card reads just fine and APN settings are fine. I do think the initial ROM you installed inhibited the device's ability to read its own MEID (everything hints at these ROMs being made specifically for dual-SIM GSM phones). However, switching to the GSM SIM should have worked, provided you actually transferred your number and didn't just pop the other SIM in (the MEID on the Red "BYOP" card would have needed to be decommissioned).
Here's a thought: Try dialing *22890 on the phone. If it says the phone is programmed for CDMA service, then that could be part of the issue. Also check Settings to see if you have both an MEID and IMEI, or just an IMEI. If your IMEI is 0, then the SIM Card is not being read and they need to ship you a new one.

Just to follow up, I did find the correct web page for Tracfone APN: https://www.tracfone.com/apn
Posting for reference. APN is RESELLER/reseller.
Hi everyone.
I bought a V20 T-Mobile version H918 on eBay. Seller claims it's carrier unlocked. As a precaution, I bought a $10 Red Pocket prepaid SIM card to test it with (because my current phone is CDMA). First, I tested it with Red Pocket's "GSMA" sim card, which uses AT&T's network. When using this SIM, the phone mostly didn't work. Out of 30 tries, I was only able to make a phone call once. All other times, I got no dial tone. And I wasn't able to receive data at all. APN settings were correct, verified with Red Pocket customer service; also tried many other APNs I found on google, but they made no difference.
Next, after doing a factory reset, I tried Red Pocket's "GSMT" SIM card, which uses T-Mobile's network. When using this SIM, all services including calling, texting, mms, and data work perfectly. Although, despite it working, the phone is using the wrong APN (fast.t-mobile.com). This seems to be a hard default setting, and the phone doesn't allow me to select a different APN while this SIM card is inserted.
Red Pocket tells me that an unlocked phone should work fine with either the "GSMA" or the "GSMT" card. So, their advice, together with the fact that the phone isn't letting me change the APN when on T-Mobile's network, leads me to believe it might not be unlocked. How can I know for sure?
Note: IMEI registers as clean in the database. Also, the IMEI in settings, the one shown by dialing *#06#, and the one on the sticker all match.
Thanks!

If it was locked, I don't think it would have accepted the ATT sim at all. You can try playing around with the Device unlock app, but on the first screen it seems to pretty much always claim its locked for me
On my (pretty sure its unlocked, havn't stuck another sim in it almost since I got it months ago)
H918 that's running on a T-Mobile (proper, not mvno) sim I can freely add and switch between APNs
Keep in mind that the H918 isn't going to be good on ATT's network.

right, if it were locked, you wouldn't even get 1/30 phone calls to work, you'd get like invalid sim or something. Locked means it wouldn't even try to use the other sim.
Happend to find a video of someone with a simlocked h918 unlocking it, it shows networked locked where the carrier name goes.
