by updating you are meaning you have already flashed the rom in your GT-I9505. Well, there is always the good old manual way and if your 4.3 ver you can just do the ota.
By manual i mean download the latest stable/nightly release, flash the kernel, install the zip from recovery and wipe according to instructed from the rom dev post.

He is making the its into a flashable ROM you CAN flash in Clockworkmod. If you wait until he uploads it, you will have the update in a flashable zip.

For N8013 with German 4.1.1 wanting to downgrade

I had my N8013 using the German 4.1.1
Obviously, I wanted the US 4.1.2 update from today.
I spent hours with a $500 paper weight... hopefully this will help someone.
1. Download the Prerooted UEALH2 Firmware Package HERE
I know this includes everything [kernel], but my Note wouldn't boot up at all.
2. Gran the UEALH2 stock kernel HERE
Both PDA.
It worked for me... you can try it out, but don't blame me if something goes wrong.
Why cant you download ICS for 8013 from Samfirmware and then OTA to 4.1.2

Cause he wants root and SuperSU preserves it when upgrading in some cases?
Thank you. Do you just flash them in PDA one at a time after each other?

I need the firmware to flash through mobile Odin. Has it been released?

Hey guys fast question.
On a N8013 I hit update and it says "Access to the software update service is provided to users in the order in which they requested it. Try again later"
Does all that = BUSY?

Really ???
Go Into your sd card and find the ROM zip. That will tell you. You shouldn't be flashing if you don't even know what you are flashing.

I know what I am flashing bro. The problem was that I had to do a nandroid restore and I couldn't remember if that restore was on version 5 or 6 of Sacs Rom. I figured it was something simple but I guess not. It always used to show up on HTC.

If you read the thread before flashing, you should know what version of the rom you are on. Always pay attention to what version you are on. Take a mental note of it or write it down in the future. That rom has manyyy versions. I almost wonder if you skipped a step or flashed an update without the rom, but if you did, I wonder why you aren't bricked.

The only thing I did was dirty flash from ver. 5 to ver. 6

Regardless of knowing what rom you flashed, seriously humor us and look at your sd card. If you have to, sort the folder by date added.
Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 4
If the build prop wasn't modified to show the custom Rom version you can't tell from about device. The only real way to know is to look at version 5 to 6 change log. Find something that was added into version 6 and test it. If it works you are on 6. If not you are 5.

4.2 to 4.4.1

Howdy, was looking to update my nexus from 4.2.2 to 4.4.1. I remember when I went from 4.1 to 4.2 I had to use my PC to update the boot loader first. Is this also true for this update or can I just flash my new ROM and gapps after a good wipe?

Bump! Anyone?
The proper way without any problem is flash factory image via wugfresh tool kit and it should update your device kernel bootloader android os every thing and it is very easy too.
Please ignore my spelling mistakes. English is not my native language.

As the title says, system update is not an option.
What ROM should I flash so it is an option so I can try my luck at updating to kk?

If you are wanting to update to the newly released ATT KitKat update, you need to flash back to stock ATT ROM. Otherwise, it will not send you the update. Or, you can wait for someone to create a flashable ROM that works for you.
