Sweet-ass app! - Nexus 5 Themes and Apps

This app is really cool. It rounds the corners of the screen and makes things look pretty damn nut-sweatingly glorious. It's called roundr, found it on the store today:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mohammad.adib.roundr&hl=en_GB
Gonna install it on my N5 if stupid courier sends it this year.
Example:

Hey, is there a way to fix that ?
Update: Just ticked "overlap status bar"

Dear sir:
As you may be aware of, due to recent litigation against Samsung USA, the courts have upheld Apple's patent on rounded corners in all present and future mobility devices. We respectfully request that you do not download, distribute or promote the use of anything that produces rounded corners with anything other than an Apple approved device. Failure to comply will result in a multitude of rabid, foaming Apple fanboys being sent to correct the issue.
Yours,

When I saw this I thought what a stupid app... Downloaded it and love it.
Thanks.

You guys just found out about this? It's been released for a while. Work best on AMOLED screens.

Reminds me of my Palm Pre (RIP), might try it when i get the N5

Yeah, the app is only around 7 months old. Here is the creators thread:

Why the he'll do I like this app so much? It's so simple yet amazing? Lol I dunno, it's strange that something so simple is so pleasing

That's all very well and good. But this won't work with a transparent nav bar etc on n5

Use a third party launcher they will have a black bar, at least that's how it is on my Nexus 4 running 4.4.
Or if you have a Nexus 4 and running custom rom or Xposed modules, you can set the status bar and navbar to be transparent, switch to a third party launcher, and blacklist that launcher using RoundR Extrensions, of course you'll lose the Okay Google in the process.
The app's blacklisting the Google launcher itself doesn't work right now.

This app is pretty awesome! If only the notification could do something useful like battery life or something and if it worked with the transparent bottom nav bar I would totally keep it!

This app works great when opening apps, and the status/nav bars turn black. The dev should have the option not to enable on homescreen and only activate when apps are open. (if its possible) then this would be a beauty.

Like I said, if you purchased the Extensions you have the option to blacklist, however, it can't blocklist Google launcher for now, but it work on other launchers.

Yes i know it works on 3rd party launchers(used it on nova no problem) but some may want the "google" experience, i was just stating how it can POSSIBLY be resolved running on the default launcher.

Yea I hope it gets updated. It doesn't look right on the trandparent status bar on the N5 IMHO.

Wow....that is actually pretty sweet! Thanks for the recommendation!

Love this idea, reminds me of my N9. Gonna hang on to it to see if the dev can make it work with the stock launcher (i.e. the bottom corners).

Amateurs! Here's how minimalism is done. If it were possible to swipe this tablet one-handed, then possibly there'd be an argument for more than one, but otherwise one home page goes without saying. Black background so that you can always see what you're doing, plus the sensuality of black's depth that makes black the new black.
I can't find a working app sorter to render the system apps tray usable, so Folder Organizer on the top two rows makes everything available--and I still have four slots open. The next two rows are my Dropbox shortcuts to immediately access frequently used file locations. I currently only need four of the sixteen slots, so that next row is devoted to two tider-overs: 1) a widget for enabling/disabling the lockscreen fills in for the Widgetsoid widget that doesn't work; and 2) on the left side is my biggest risk: a reboot button ergonomically placed so that it's never accidentally actuated, which I know will eventually happen at the worst possible moment.
Below that, it's all Widgetsoid with so much room remaining to expand for frequently used apps that I can sculpt my lower three rows into the Michaelangelo's David that you're presently beholding. Top Widgetsoid row devoted to settings, with state toggles separated so that their state is displayed, while the remainder are always highlighted. Finally, two rows of apps grouped in Widgetsoid widgets by the way I consider they function in my workflow. From left to right, then down, you've got system utilities, media, time, word processing, and internet. That bottom left Widgetsoid is getting crowded--I need three pdf readers because they all suck in some way--but the others still have slots open. A ting'o'beauty, no?

Brightness slider on the notification bar

The GS1 and GS2 had the ability to adjust the screen brightness by sliding your finger across the notification bar. I've seen that in some GS3 custom roms, this feature was added. You had the ability to toggle this feature on or off under a certain subsetting in settings.
Is there a way to add this feature without loading a custom rom? I use it every day on my Epic. Thanks
I really miss this option also!
I think the only way we will be able to get this back is through a custom ROM.

This feature alone will drive me to a custom ROM, but only after the capability to wipe flash counter and go back to stock, in case of warranty need.

LG G2 major grips

For me, major grips are:
Stock browser without text reflow or text wrap (replaced with baidu browser, only problem is it redirects me to youtube mobile instead of youtube app)
Bad autofocus in camera (blurry photos) (still waitinf for development fix)
Pressure gap in battery cover (fixed).
Don´t remember anything else...
Yeah, I thought the camera would be much better than it really is... It's not that bad after the modded camera installation, but still there's room for improvement.
Another issue is with the flaky auto-brightness algorithm, to bad to be usable.
But the most important flaw for me is the lack of memory expansion!
But all in all, this is the best smartphone I've used so far. Much MUCH better than any Samsung out there.
I find the phone to have very little grip. It's always slipping out of my hand.

Lots of people enjoying it I must say, starting from my old old HTC Desire I can customize the wallpaper differently to the homescreen. How come it has been removed suddenly?
I know in Stock Android 4.3 it is having the same wallpaper at lockscreen, is it an excuse following the so-called "Google Policy" to remove a handy feature like this? What if the next update HTC is going to remove another useful feature ?
An update should be adding new features, but not removing features.

It is the same thing as with the option of not using any lockscreen at all. I agree that an update should add and not remove features. I have already called the HTC support hotline and they admitted that there were already several calls concerning this.

That being said. Is there seriously no way around this though? Is this something samsung will change if enough people ***** about? I don't have an alternative phone to go back to but I will seriously sell/switch off this phone asap if this is the case.
