KitKat and xposed modules - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Has anyone successfully got any xposed modules working? Xposed installs fine but no modules work. Like 4 way reboot menu.

Developer stated that it's not working yet but he's on it.

Android 4.4 changed several things and it's therefore not compatible with Xposed yet. I need to run it on my own device (I9100 using CyanogenMod) to adjust Xposed for it.

Xposed installer is working but the modules aren't compatible with 4.4. Yet. I was able to install the framework with no issues.

It will be interesting to see how the new security updates effect it.
Wayne Tech Nexus

Looking forward to a working 4.4 version, I really need App Settings (to reduce the icons in the stock launcher) and Greenify's experimental features

Any update?

I suggest you to try unofficial Carbon nightlies. Seems to be working for the majority but for me it fails when flashing.

from what I've read it looks like Gravitybox is pretty much the only module that is compatible with google edition roms. not sure if 3minit would work any better, does anyone use 3minit with a google edition rom?
AFAIK, with 3minute you're limited to that dev's utilities.
With xposed, you have a whole world of various dev's creating modules and you can use more than one module at a time. But be careful because it's very easy to mess up with more than one module at a time. Only make a change for a particular item/customization in ONE module, and don't touch that same customization in another module. Use one module for one thing, another module for another thing and other modules for other things.
I am currently using about six different xposed modules without a single crash in over three weeks.
Kangabean 4.3 Google Edition
This is the longest I've ever run one single ROM, let alone gone without ROM related crashes.

Greenify donate version

Is it working for you? Although I have installed xsposed framework it still says that the module has not been acyivated yet...while I have activated it. Not sure if there are others facing same problem out there....

I think if you check the Xposed Framework thread... you'll find that Xposed is not yet KitKat friendly.
Greenify on it's own is running fine for me though.

Nothing that runs off the xposed module is working at the moment. The developer is waiting to get his phone (nexus 5) in order to update it. On the greenify app thread the developer introduced a work around update for xposed that will enable it to work with KitKat. Go in there and download it abs you'll be able to use any xposed module.

Just for the record, you don't need a custom rom for the Xposed Framework. It took me a while to figure out these were two separate suggestions.

Yeah I well aware of that man, I meant you have 2 options #1 or #2
Thanks mate ...
It's way too long.
Can someone please simplify it for me?
I'm not that familiar with mods and stuff.
I am using android 4.4.2 kitkat pure android from google.
Just tell me what to do to not have this message.
The thread is way too long!
Thanks!
You need to root your phone, which means unlocking bootloader. Then you can install xposed framework (a modification which allows plugins to your official firmware) Yak84 linked a module for the xposed framework which does what you want.

My nexus is rooted.
So I need to do install from sdcard for what file?
What's after?
I'm not familiar with mods.
Only flashing roms and gapps.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401 That's the xposed framework that's been mentioned twice. It installs like a normal app, not from recovery. Once that's installed then you can install the module that disables the warning message.

Xposed for Lollipop has been released...

Here's what everyone has been waiting for. Xposed has been released... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3030118
Awesome to see will def have to wait till implementation into a lot of the rims that I use or Rom devs get a chance to test for there specific Rom. But great news have been a few modules I was missing on sense.

Is there a working xposed module for customising sense that works? I tried Sense 6 toolbox and Xtended settings, but it can't detect the Xposed framework. The only modules working are on the screenshots.

Sense 6 technically works, but you can't access the settings because it displays a big "not compatible" message. Still, if you had it before and the settings are still there it will continue to use those settings. Thats my experience with it so far.
Sense rom
is this confirmation that this new xposed works on sense rom lollipop?
I imagine the apk modules will need to be rewritten, that i can wait.

@RichmondoUK updated his xtended setting module, and the good New is that most of the stuff is working, just it seems like systemui tweaks have to be updated. [emoji1]

I tried installing xposed on viper 4.0 but my music lags when the screen is lock. Anyway, I am not surprised since its in alpha stage. Happy to see xposed making its way to android L.

Anybody having problems with NFC after installing? I can't seem to get it to work
Anyone with an M8 experiencing Motion Launch not working after flashing Xposed Alpha? This is the double tap to wake feature. I'm just wondering if it's something I did separately to cause it not to work or a side effect of flashing this alpha version of Xposed.
Not working for me. One M8 GPE TWRP 2.8.5.0. Hangs on the boot animation. Required a reflash to restore my device.

Motion Launch is working perfectly on my M8 with stock rooted Sense 5.0.1 and the new Xposed alpha. Double tap to wake, swipe to unlock both working fine.
I’ve been waiting for weeks, and here you finally are
Is gravity box working with Sense lollipop? I am on ARHD 34.0 please suggest me a module which can get me as close to sense toolbox or gravitybox

Your not the only one. Motion Launch stopped working on my m8 with the GPe rom and Xposed. Maybe it has something to do with the modules installed?

A full reboot cleared it up, but it did show again once more after that... Another reboot fixed it again, followed immediately by a soft reboot of course. Hopefully the same works for you, I know I need my double tap to wake.
