2nd link was broken.
and ive tried handcent maybe i didn't have the settings properly reconfigured.
floating notifications seem cool.

I personally use Handcent ... I'm almost certain you can configure it to have a pop up notification like you showed in picture. I haven't tried it yet, but Floating Notifications is getting a lot of buzz

SMSPopup will allow you to receive a pop-up on the home screen and/or unlock the screen to show the pop-up.

Yes it is, in additional settings turn on "screen on for pop-up", I just tested it and it works fine. It shows up on the lock screen with an option to "close", "delete" or "reply".

now the setup i use is glowfly for locked notification and iphone notifications for the unlocked banners...works great with the default messaging app.
ill try handcent and gosms and post my results later

i did not want to use a 3rd party app but wanted to be able to reply from any app like i get with AOSP roms. i found Floating Texts to be exactly what i wanted.

I was trying that app out the other day, I liked it but the UI is ugly, hopefully it gets changed a little.

I know it sounds like you have found what you need...but this is a very nice 3rd SMS app with slide over and popup settings - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.klinker.android.messaging_donate - the dev team is constantly updating as well.

I use this awesome app called slide messaging located at the playstore. I only really like the pop up built into it so I really only use it. It's perfect for me because I prefer the touchwiz mms but miss the pop up feature on CM10.1! Check it out you'll be happy

I tried this also, but found it very laggy- especially when using the swiping feature -and not real stable. Maybe there has been some recent updates.

Missing My Stock Android Features

I'm coming from a romed Samsung Galaxy Nexus using Android 4.3. The reasons why I bought this phone are:
1. The large, bright, crystal clear screen
2. The ability to multitask (having two apps pulled up and interacting with both of them).
3. The new S Pen
I miss some of my stock android features. Reallllly hoping someone creates a stock android rom for this. Miss the ability to reply to texts from the pull down notification window and miss the stock keyboard auto correct features.

[Q] Scale down Notification Toggles?

Hi,
As you can imagine from the title, is it possible to scale down the toggles in the notification area? Maybe with a xposed module? If it is not that heavy to do, i would try to do it by myself...
Thanks in advance
Can anyone help me out? i would pay a few bucks if its possible to minimize the wasted space in the notification area... and im sure im not the only one...

Perhaps edit the LCD density in the build prop to 320 and use xposed app settings to correct the stock apps that dont scale right back to 480. Then you'll look like this .

Text messages failing when using custom themes

I'm making this post for a friend. She has a T-Mobile G2 and apparently when using sending text messages (via stock app) messages fail if the persons message is themed. Deleting Cache and resetting will help for a little while, but eventually will do it again. Text Messages sent without any custom themes are sent fine. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

No, this is for a friend who was having trouble, stock rom, non-rooted. I did a search and didn't find anyone with the same issue, I thought maybe someone on here would know a work around... or anyone know of a good third party messaging app that allows to have individual themes for different people?

Freezing all of them does not mess up the rotation, it isn't until the app is uninstalled completely that it messes it up.

Yeah, I restored that apk to the priv-apps and that didn't fix my the problem. This afternoon I'm going to reflash and one-by-one delete my bloatware and see if I can find the source of the issue.
I'll report back.

I have a lot deleted already today and haven't tracked it down yet. The thing that makes it a pain is that you really need to reboot after each app for it to take effect. I've been deleting (moving them to a different folder) in batches of 5 to speed things up a little.
