MOTOACTV 1.7.11/1.7.12 Firmware (8GB, NA) - Other SmartWatches

Hey All,
I've got an 8GB MOTOACTV running the 1.7.10NA firmware.
I'm not able to update it with the desktop software for whatever reason (I've even tried flashing CEnnis91's stock firmware images) - the updater simply says that there is no newer version available.
Does anyone have a NANDroid of the 1.7.11 or 1.7.12 firmware?
I'm currently plagued by the force close issue with the workout function while using a BLE heartrate monitor, and I see in the release notes for 1.7.11/1.7.12 that there have been fixes for that specific issue.
Thanks for any assistance!
pitcherj

Here's a 1.7.12 prerooted stock rom.

New UK Updated Firmware

Just received a new OTA firmware update today
GC100XXBMD1
Only a small download <30Mb and the only changes stated are the usual generic "Stability Improvements"
I lost root (unsurprisingly) but it was at least upgradable on a rooted stock firmware.
CHANGES:
I noticed that I am no longer being asked to select the memory card in the camera app on a reboot. This was a major annoyance and thankfully gone.
The Google Play Store has been updated
There is a new Smart Mode "Action Freeze" ... I think.... Can anyone confirm if that was already on there? I can't remember seeing it before.
If I find any other changes, I will update this thread.
Action Freeze is already available since it GC was released with Android 4.1 1

Is Cf-Root working fine on it?
can we expect updates or 4.1.2 will be our last FW?

CF-Autoroot works on N5120, so i guess it should work fine on N5100 also.
And if you are already on a rooted 4.1.2, just install Mobile Odin and flash new firmware with Everroot checked

Thanks. And i have another question, why is Mobile odin sure for root 4.2.2 N5100?
Anyone who already flashed it? does it fix the screen freeze issue?? and another question, If i flash it manually via odin, will it retain my installed apps?
Someone writes that what's inside CSC codes, please.
I know it's DBT (default), but there's more?
THX!
Flashed with mobile odin pro with everroot - failed, Got into bootloop on cwm with message "Failed to root". Finally , Restored backup . Back with 4.12.

I would like to ask the same thing, especially the screen freeze issue.
Flashed new ROM.
Am I only one who faces this issues?:
1. S Note became laggy when opening/closing note
2. S-pen pointer is shifted 1-2 mm down from true position (maybe if there is any calibration software?)
I can't download from hotfile, please mirror it

Just did something foolish, but after taking few precautions, did it anyways. I flashed system and kernel from this to n5110 with mobile Odin pro. Did not dare flashing cache (csc) and rest as mobile Odin needs stock recovery to flash cache and really wanted to keep custom for obvious reasons.
It booted and working fine except for chaton and messaging app crashing, which I disabled at root.
Plus side is that in conjunction with Google voice app and magic jack I can use phone dialler to make phonecalls now. On WiFi only off course.
***"""Still testing so strongly urge people not to try this unless they know what they're doing. "" "***
This will not work with n5120 system and kernel combination firmware. It does not boot. Although system by itself can be flashed successfully over earlier n5110 leak, but 5ghz WiFi bug from that leak remains.
If you don't clean your internal card properly before hand, the old files remain trapped and you only have access to new directory tree, so either move files to external beforehand or do a reset to free used space (did not reset myself and will try not to).

I see this mentioned once in a while but have never seen a screen freeze on any version firmware of my note 8.0.
Perhaps its a cpu thing. I usually install setcpu first thing on any rom after rooting.

Perhaps it's a cpu thing but it's Samsung s job to fix it. I think it's an unexpected bug for a Note

[Q] OTA updates with stock ROM/stock recovery but rooted

I ran a few searched but none provided me with the answer - sorry if it's been covered.
I am on pure stock right now (JDQ39 - 4.2.2) and getting the constant prompt to update to 4.3
For reasons too long to get into here I absolutely do not want to install 4.3
I do however want to turn off the OTA update prompt and have found several ways of doing that - the simplest and easiest way is using Autorun manager to disable the updater in part of the Google Services Framework apk, however I need to have root to do that.
I can root the phone, and keep everything else stock including the recovery, and then disable OTA updates for 4.3
My question is this:
If I do this, but am interested in installing Kit Kat OTA if it's released next week, is it as simple as re-enabling the updater using the reverse procedure in Autorun manager and then I should see the update for 4.4 Kit Kat?
Or will the system still want to update to OTA 4.3 before then giving me another update for 4.4? I refuse point blank to every have 4.3 on my phone, again I have a long list of valid reasons why I want to avoid 4.3 like the plague.
If so, my only option then would be to wait until someone posts a stock rooted version of 4.4 and then flash using the Nexus Toolkit in fastboot mode?
Appreciate any replies.
Thanks.

It would appear from other threads on this subject and various other sites, that you'll have to wait for the 4.4 images from Google if you don't want to first upgrade to 4.3. From what I gather researching the same question, to do the OTA to 4.4, you'd first have to accept the 4.3 upgrade, then the 4.3.1 upgrade and finally the 4.4.
That seems odd that you won't let it even touch your device. You should be able to update directly to the latest version, no need to do each update in between.

4.3 was a horrible alpha release IMO, creating many issues.
I'm rocking slim 4.2.2 build 8 until kit Kat hits.

No kitkat update

Can anyone help me upgrade to kitkat because when I tried to go to software update it tells me that my current version is the latest one which is 4.3. I rooted my phone and I guess its 0x1
If you've rooted you probably won't get OTA updates. You'll have to manually flash via Odin, there's plenty of info around to help you get going

i see. btw is it okay if i use other countries stock firmware for 4.4?
Well other countries and carrier firmware have had issues flashing on some devices, I'd recommend XEO which is the Polish version, most people are using it. But you need to definitely read, because if you have a HK Note or an NEE note flashing KK Can cause massive headaches.
Ask yourself, do you need the upgrade right now? My advice is have a good think.. There are some minor bugs with EXT SD Card, some random reboots and freezes and third party accessories not working properly. I'd wait for an incremental update that fixes any issues if I was you. Unless you wanna install a custom ROM.

[Q] 2 questions: About Updates, and Samsung Keyboard

First question: Apparently after rooting I can no longer update my SM-T230NU and I would like to know if there are any updates available and if there are how can I update? Second question: I installed the android L keyboard set it as default but after updating it switches back to Samsung Keyboard, which is annoying since it corrects every thing (Typing "L" and it will change it "Learn".) And I find uncomfortable to type in. Is there a way to fix this?

Samsung doesn't allow otas if you're rooted.
No, none. Latest is NE2. If you're not on NE2 and want to update grab the NE2 tar from my firmware post in general section
And no clue

I really like this samsung keyboard with swype style and good prediction, nice multi language keyboard.
but if* you want another keyboard as default.. delete SamsungIME.apk and SamsungIME.odex
from ../system/app/
be sure you have at least one custom keyboard active before delete it

I update my rooted samsung devices through Ota all the time. However if I delete system apps from the device Ota fails. I freeze system apps with rom toolbar pro and don't have any problems with updates

Okay, just letting everyone know this. DO NOT FREEZE SAMSUNG KEYBOARD WITH RIM TOOLBOX. I did it and I could not boot again and I had to Hard Reset to boot again.

updates really aren't that big of a deal... By the time they have a good update we should have plenty of tar files to flash back to stock if you want the update. Either that or give it a few days and you can usually just odin the tar of the new release...
