Will N9005 work worldwide? - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, if i am buying the n9005 instead of n9000 then will it work worldwide? The thing is that N9005 only has Snapdragon 800 whereas N9000 has Octacore 5420 which is faster.

Better off buying 9000 if you want full capability minus lte. 9005 is the better choice if you want lte but don't plan on using lte in the USA. And claiming either one is faster is moot because they're both fast. The choice for me would be which is more efficient if you're not including lte into the equation.

Region Lock
B"H
It appears that all the phones, including the N900 and the N9005 are region locked. Meaning, if you buy a Euro version - it will not work with a USA sim card, and vice-versa.
Samsung really screwed this one up, big time.

One bought in the Americas. There is a thread in the Note 3 General forum discusssing the specific limitations of the "unlocked" Note 3 which now turns out to be only partially unlocked.

Official word from Samsung: Galaxy s II coming in august.

All,
http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2388808,00.asp
Samsung says "sometime in august". Hope I can continue waiting. Been off contract on my 3gs for 1 month and it's killing me.
Yes I read a similar article at mobile burn website that the GSII will be released most likely on the three major carriers (sorry four), not sure.
Your best bet is to buy the international version of the Galaxy SII b/c it comes completly unlock and you will take advantage of all, I mean all of its features then to buy the at&t or other American Telecom variant b/c they will mess them up very bad.
They giant telecoms will install their own software and firmware that they'll even disable the most menial features the Galaxy SII can perform and in order to fully enjoy it you'll have to end up rooting it and having to install custom ROMs (nothing wrong with that if your'll willing to take the dive), but I love my unlocked Galaxy SII.
Normally I'd know who you're talking about, except all signs have pointed towards Sprint getting one so now I'm not sure who you mean!

Well pao23 which carrier are you on now? I'm on at&t and it was convenient for me to get the unlocked Galaxy SII b/c it is compatible with at&t's HSPA+ network on frequencies of 1900/850 Mhz (which are the ones here in America on at&t), but if you have Sprint, then it uses a different technology (CDMA) not GSM/HSPA+ so you'll have to wait until the CDMA version is released by Sprint.
HEY AMERICA! I'll probably have a quad core phone by the time the SGS 2 gets onto your soil!

I hate made in china stuff. In general, poor workmanship. They also have bad practices with their workers. By buying china made crap, we are just helping make their government richer, not their own citizens. We are also killing America's economy and it's people - American companies moving there, and the workers here loosing their jobs - very bad.
They put chemicals on their products eventhough they know it has the potential for harming people who consume it, just like the previous melamine on their milk a few years back. They don't care who they harm as long as they make money.
It's time to wake up

Are there any issues with buying an X Play from a carrier? (XT1563 model)

I'd like to get one and my easiest way of acquiring one is through a local carrier, but I'm worried if it will have some kind of pitfall. Will I stop getting updates? Will they be slow to arrive? Can it be turned to a stock pure version without the bloatware via a stock rom? Is it worth it? Keep in mind it's the XT1563 latin american version. And the carrier is Nextel.
I bought mine from Mercadolibre (XT1563), I wasnt aware I got the double sim version until I opened it, it seem mine runs with the iusacell rom.
I have been asking my self the same questions.
Updates may be a bit slower to come out. As for bloatware, the only one I found on my Koodo device was the Koodo Self Serve app.
I got mine through Telus, it doesn't have anything extra (Telus bloatware). Updates come in not to bad from them (timely).

Do you try 4g LTE networks with other carriers like Telcel?

Download your region from sammobile and Flash with odin

When I search sammobile for G928C firmwares, I cant find one for my country/operator.
But I found this which is for G928F http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/58072/G928FXXU2AOJ5_G928FMBM2AOJ2_MBM/
This is for my country/operator.
Should I install it? Will it cause me trouble or is better then my current one?
Thanks for your advices!
i am not sure regarding the differences between the both 928F and 928C, but i am pretty sure ODINing one into another would definitely cause you problem, or a Dead ~800$ maybe.
To be on the safe side, stick with the current one if its not giving you any problems, as i searched myself, the ones bought online from UAE are pretty much cheaper, maybe the same case with you.
Do not flash 928F firmware, (it will fail in odin) Im living in Kosovo and I bought Edge Plus which is 928C, which is from UAE, so its not a problem couse the hardware is the same with other models, the only changes are in modem (which is for mobile signals), so if u have good signal dont worry

I want to buy a Nokia X6 - Questions

Hi,
I want to buy a black Nokia X6 for use on T-Mobile in the United States. However, the international unlocked model (from Hong Kong) with Google Play Services only comes in blue and white. The white would have been nice if the camera module was black, but I digress.
The other problem is that the international unlocked model is more expensive.
So, my questions:
1) Would it be worth it to buy the black Chinese model instead?
2) Would I be able to flash the international firmware onto it (unlocked version from Hong Kong)?
3) If so, would I be missing anything from the international model? Eg. Will I get OTA updates just like I had the international model?
4) Would I be able to get LTE on T-Mobile here in the US with either version? I'm finding conflicting info regarding LTE bands.
Many thanks!

Yes, you are probably correct. Works 100% great, though. So don't let that stop you from buying it.
