It only has a one-color led unfortunately.

You may have to open the device and solder a new SMD LED ( this will void your warranty )

I think it is more than just a bulb that it needs to have multiple colors.

Unslot the power adapter?

Does anyone know if it's possible to un-slot the ac adapter so it will fit back into the box?
Thanks
Pull it harder than you'd expect and it will separate, I had to do this to send mine back

My headphone jack broke...

I always use my headphone jack but im very careful not to shove it in. All of a sudden the other day I tried to plug in my headphones and it wouldn't go all the way in! What happened? Can I still RMA my nexus or do i have to pay?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
I have found my jack to be a pretty tight fit. Are you sure you are using enough pressure to insert the plug all the way? It is fairly substantial as 3.5mm jacks go.

I tried shoving it almost as hard as I possibly can to no avail so I think it may be broken D:

I was terrified mine would break. It's insane how much effort it takes to get that bad boy in there.

Well, an RMA is worth a try. The worst they can say is no. Call them.

Do you have a number? I can't seem to find it and their RMA support email doesn't list the Nexus 4 as an option. Thanks

Hardware Revisions.

So I'm planning to buy a N4, but I keep hearing about hardware revisions. Since in Hong Kong where I live there's no play store, I can physically access the phone in buying, can somebody tell me what are the differences in the revisions and how to tell them apart or locate it in the software?

When you go into the boot loader it will show what rev it is. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the first batch of nexi were batch 10? Mine is rev 11. Current is batch 12 with the new nubs and the rear camera more out (lens). Don't know the differences in the revisions, but I doubt its anything major.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
So basically it's no big difference?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Yes, basically not much difference. Like supposedly rev 11 fixed the yellow tint from rev 10. Rev 12 is just the new nubs and camera lens more out.

The new ones with the nubs and camera change are still rev 11 though, aren't they? The rev number is the motherboard version and so has nothing to do with the screen.
Rev 12 includes a wireless charging change but as far as I know hasn't been seen in the wild yet.
To the OP - yes, no big difference, don't worry about checking whether a phone is a particular rev or not. Mine is rev 10 and it is perfect.

What problem is that?
Do you mean the red light of death?
Who knows what the chances of getting it? I don't know how will we know the new revisions will get it. If you draw that lucky card, you might or might not get it.

You are over thinking it bro. Just buy the device already. It seems to happen when your battery is low and then suddenly turns off and when you want to turn it back on it shows a red light. Removing the battery resets the phone.

I got it while running antututu benchmark with overclock. Had to RMA it. I could only get into the bootloader but really nothing else. Even after flashing back the stock images with fastboot. I didn't want to open the back because it was easier to just get a new device. I think its just faulty hardware and it has something to do with the battery. When I used fastboot to check the battery voltage it just gave an blank output!
Thanks people

New lens? There isn't any new lens I guess. It's just the lens covering has become smaller. But that's same in all N4's that came since December.
