Phone won't turn on help please

Ok, my brother dropped his phone last night and the power button seems to not be working so his phone won't turn on. I would like to know if there is anything I can do to get it to turn on again. It is stock, fully charged, but won't turn on. Tried taking out the battery but I think the button is just dead. I would appreciate any help I can receive since I am not too familiar since I am from the Nexus forums. Thanks in advance

What is the sign when you plug for charging? Does it show the battery icon? If yes then you have a chance otherwise take it to service. What model is the phone?

Your saying your power button is dead? Do the above and if the led turns on then try this for your power button

Well when I connect the charger the LED just lights up and nothing comes out on the screen. I tried the foil trick, but it just simply wouldn't work. Oh well, did all I could and your recommendation. Thanks for the replies and am open to any other suggestions

I mentioned its stock in the OP. I know it would have been much easier because I could use some ADB commands, but unfortunately my brother doesn't know or want to know about rooting

Yeah I missed that. We'll like Bindo said. I guess take it to service. Unless Simone else here has Other suggestions

Does everyone get a blue Mark on top and bottom of screen when scrolling reaches the end? I asked at Samsung store and they told us normal and all note's have it.

Lol....infact many of my friends who are Apple fan boys got a point to put my note 2 down die to this feature. I think it's not required.

U would think a simple ui thing like this would be appreciated by iPhone users. In any case, let them talk smack, they're just jealous if the only thing they can find fault with is a handy little ui feature.
Its also a way around another of those Apple patents...

It only has a one-color led unfortunately.
You may have to open the device and solder a new SMD LED ( this will void your warranty )
