Question about the official firmware update.

I'm sorry if it has been discussed, i used the search functions and all i came up was a bunch of random stuff. So...... is there a date for the official firmware update, that would be available from the site of SE????
Search here!
I don't know where you are but most ROM updates have been available for the past couple of weeks. I updated mine using SEUS to R2AA008 Generic_NAM version and the new ROM date is 12/21/08.

WOW...i guess i'm missing something here. Why isn't there an official update available? How can there be 1K+ firmware updates in the links you posted, but nothing official?
Leaked
It seems the UK ones etc are all leaked and not official like the NAM and the Voda and other European etc. I wonder if there will be any differences though in the officially released ones?
Any word on the official release date?

[Q] 4.4.2 update still not available. Heck, even 4.3 unavailable. Is this normal?

Hello everyone. I have the GS4 i9505. Got it used from a guy in Saudi Arabia. Great condition. Android 4.2.2. What I didn't notice was, that it was actually a swiss version (I'm in Saudi Arabia) When I switch it on/off, the message from the swiss carrier 'Swisscom' is displayed. It is unlocked, so I didn't think much of it.
Only now, when everyone's got 4.4.2 I'm starting to get worried. Don't have an update available through OTA or KIES. Is this normal? Are android updates country specific? What can be done?
Hi. You're correct. One of the most annoying things about samsung is that they roll out region specific updates. As far as I know, your region ( csc code : AUT ) hasn't received any updates. You can either wait until an update is released for the Switzerland region, or you can flash a kitkat rom via odin.
If you're interested in flashing, see this thread for instructions.
I wish my other s4 has 4.2 swiss rom on it, instead of 4.3 knox/0x1.
Do a bit of reading and youll see exactly what I mean.

Is Android 6.0 Official already there or comming soon for G7-L01?

I was confused by seeing a new firnware version at huawei website places 5th of august 2016 that ends with C636B320 and if i google that it looks like it could be android 6.0?
There is no version number written on the website:
http://consumer.huawei.com/my/support/products/downloads/detail/ascend-g7-my.htm?id=86353
I tried installing it on my phone but I always get installation failed, maybe because my phone is from a different region..
Anyway would be great if they bring an official android 6 update for our G7!
The firmware you linked to is Lollipop.
Android 6.0 is currently only official in Turkey and China, but we are still waiting for the European version to be released.
Unfortunately, we don't know how long we will need to wait for it, if it is ever released.
Also, you are correct that you are unable to install the update since you are only able to install updates from your own region, or carrier (if your device is branded).
Ok I see, a download link of 6.0 is availible on this site, but will probably not work because of different region..
But I will try it, i'm dowloading it now.
Was it successfull? I am still waiting for this update to be released for european devices.
