I do use the same ROM - any customization of lock screen widgets natively are found at System Settings > My Device > Lock Screen > Lock Screen Widgets
If you want to regain the bottom shortcuts such as (Phone, Google, Messaging, etc) then make sure "Shortcuts" is checked.
If you're wanting the different 'pages' of widgets on the lock screen, make sure "Multiple Widgets" is selected.
But if you're running your own launcher that may have adjusted your lockscreen, I have no freaking idea.

[Q] Touchwiz settings

Ok, I give up. I have Googled for 3 days and read that **** manual cover to cover.
How in the world do you edit the Touchwiz settings? I remember the first day I went to the settings and changed the Show Windows from 5 to 7.
I for the LIFE of me cannot remember how in the WORLD I did that...
So, please, please do not flame me...first Samsung phone and clueless...
Thanks
For some reason, I thought it was under the MENU, then on some i have seen EDIT , but its not there...grrr....

Hi I don't think you can change touchwiz setting short of rooting your phone and editing a few text files. The Epic comes with 7 homescreens and can't be changed from it unless a new launcher is installed. You can however disable the touchwiz launcher if you want the vanilla android look and you can also install an aditional launcher such as launcher pro, which is what I did. Installing a new launcher means you cannot use the touchwiz widgets such as the friend update widget or the taskmanager widget or any of the touchwiz clocks. However the comm manager in the notifications bar is still there as well as the task manager button on long home press.
See read here:

-To edit order of homescreens or # of homescreens, go home, press menu and then edit

So that option is not available on our phones? Or is this a "modded" Touchwiz...
We have a gimp version of touchwiz until Froyo comes. Many of us use Launcher Pro or ADW because Touchwiz mostly sucks and the widgets do the same.

[Q] Q: Home Screen does not rotate even after upgrading to 4.1.2

I have verified that the rotate lock is not active. Also, I am using Nova launcher as my default if that helps.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Perhaps your screen orientation lock is on - you need to turn it off? An easy way to find out would be that all apps will be in portrait mode – no matter how you tilt your screen.

Stock ROM - Lockscreen wallpaper is limited to the 6 factory images?

Is anyone else finding that the lock screen can only use those 6 pre installed images as a background? I have no trouble selecting custom images for the home screen wallpaper, and if I install apps like ES File Explorer or Zedge, they get added to the home screen wallpaper selection options. But for some reason, the lock screen wallpaper selection only gives me on source option, the sick system wallpapers.
Example:

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

Have you tried setting something for the home and lock screen option and then changing the home screen wallpaper? I actually just tried on my phone and I get the option to choose from gallery when clicking lock screen. One thing I don't have the option of is live wallpapers, but I just use the home and lock screen one and it works for both.
I have a custom image for lock screen wallpaper on stock ROM.

[Q] Notification Access Menu Paranoid Android 3.97

Does anyone know where the notification access menu option has gone in Paranoid Android 3.97. I'm pretty sure it was under security in stock 4.3 but I can seem to fine it anywhere in PA. Has it been intentionally removed?
Any ideas?
If you mean the notification history? Then you have to place a settings widget on your homescreen, and once you do so you will be prompted to select which settings you would like to see, then just select notifications. Now you can access the notification history by pressing on that widget

No I mean the notification access menu where you can grant applications that use the NotificationListenerService class access to read notifications:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I have just checked on a friends stock 4.3 nexus 4 and it seems the menu option has been removed from there, hence not in PA (or any other rom) either.
Does anyone know why this menu option was removed from stock 4.3?
EDIT: I have confirmed the activity is still there and still does the job so just curious why it was removed from the UI.
UPDATE: Browsing the source code reveals that the menu option is hidden if you have no apps that use the new NotificationListenerService. Installing a app that uses makes the menu option appear under the security screen.

what is this icon

Please see screenshot. What is the icon at the top between the Bluetooth icon and the alarm clock icon? I tried to draw a little arrow to point it out.

I have many homescreen screen shots to verify it was never on before today or at least the icon was never there.

You must of accidentally turned it on then.
I leave it on as I have NFC stickers to automate tasks. You can hide status bar icons with System UI Tuner from the Play Store after using a few adb commands.
