Magnetic screen off - how to mask rear of tablet? - Nexus 10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I bought a magnetic cover for my N10 and have found that it will blank the screen if the cover is wrapped around the BACK of the device. Can anyone suggest a good way of shielding the rear of the tablet that will stop this?

8125 camera lens cover

Does anyone know how to get the clear lens bezel/cover that snaps into the upper rear housing? Mine is scratched. When disassembling the cover over the camera the only part needing to be replaced is a clear plastic disc/protector that snaps into the cover (and with the small rubber ring gasket seals dust from the board mounted camera/lens). After searching for 8125 replacement housings (ebay, here at xda, etc.) this small clear disc appears to not be included with the rear upper cover.
*BUMP*
My camera lens appears to have fallen off. Does anyone know where I could find a replacement? Thanks!

Magnetic field near the camera

Hi guys, yesterday I've repair my broken d802 (headphone jack broken) and everything goes fine.
But, while I starting to close the back cover I've notice something strange:
a lot of paper clip and needles I have on the desk start to get attracted by the phone, in a first place I thought it was normal (speaker has a magnet) but the magnetic field is near the camera.
Also with the back cover on, it still attract a bit paper clips.
It is normal?
Does your d802 do the same?
the exact place is just some millimetres above the camera.
Thank you in advance
Mine does the same, must be some component that causes this..
so it's not my fault while I was trying to replace the part
Don't think so, but I've previously replaced my screen so it could be different from original parts?

Why is there a magnet?

I had my G4 on my desk and noticed a paper clip stuck to it. I tried again when I was home and a safety pin would be magnetically stuck to this specific spot near the camera. No where else on the phone seems to do this. Does anyone know why there seems to be a magnet in the phone?
because in the same area on the the front of the phone is the speaker/earpiece's magnet.

Adding Magnetic Plate under Back Glass

Recently replaced the back glass on the S8 and it occurred to me that perhaps the magnetic pads that come with some magnet car mounts might fit under the glass.
I don't have any double-sided tape or the tools to try it to do it on my own. Was wondering if anyone has tried to do this. This JUST occurred to me, if not I would have tried it when I replaced the back panel :crying:
I know it will cause problems with wireless charging (feature I don't make use of) but would be nice to be able to use it once I get my new Dbrand Grip + Black Camo skin.
Anyone capable of trying this out, or has tried it and can provide feedback if there is enough room or not??
Attached is an image of the mount + plate + phone setup.
You can get a spigen liquid crystal case and put the metal between.
I have a spigen case, glued metal plate and the wireless charging still works. Any other thin case will do.
