XDA?!

Pretty sure XDA-Devs does the job right

If you want an alternative to the forums/threads way of doing things, go look at the StackExchange sites.
StackOverflow is a good place to start, just look for the android tag.
(Personally I find forums quite difficult to follow - fifty page threads with some useful information in there...somewhere...)

Also github.com - free storage with version control (git) for all your code so long as its open source. There you can follow people, star repositories etc, very useful

Google+ + StackOverflow + GitHub

Best of both worlds
XDA for advice
Stackoverflow for debugging - problem solving ^^

Stackoverflow is a question and answer site. not a social network or forum type deal. Just specific programming code type questions.

Use the search button! You will be amazed at the plethora of info that will pop up on XDA and the internet! This question should be in general also. You are not developing anything. This is just a general question!

Don't mean to be rude, but the point of a site like this is that it gathers and shares the questions, answers and experience of thousands of people on thousands of topics. It's organized in a pretty intuitive fashion, so you can navigate and find sections of interest. The search feature works just fine and can help you locate discussions relevant to your questions.
If you do a bit of searching and reading you'll learn quite a bit about topics like toolkits and what various members experiences have been. As with most topics here, you'll find all sorts of opinions, but with a bit of reading you can start to get a good sense of the issues and areas of disagreement, and make your own informed decision.
You'll find that you'll get a lot more help and support if you're willing to first make an effort to follow the guidelines described in the introductory topic area in the forum.

According to mods, he hasn't respected the XDA rules. You still can follow his work on his website (Google it, it should be simple).
If I were him, I would not return so don't expect any of his work to be posted on XDA.
Respect each side in their decisions.
(I should also mentioned that it is not the place to discuss such things )
No idea. I was wondering why the links to his new forum got deleted.

Same. Why should they help to leave their forum and go to a forum which is held by a "banned" member of XDA? Not chocking me at all.
Oh I see. I wasn't aware that he got "banned". Looking for his space now, need support.

afaik, he uses links that make him gain money, and that's against xda rules. after discussing with mods, he stopped it (using xda for rom threads) and started his forums. now, IMO, devs like him who make such good roms should be allowed to do so. maybe a good idea was to add a dev host link, with no revenue to him, and other links for those who want to help him. but now what's done is done and mods and xda has their rules and decisions.
speaking of decisions, it won't be a long time before a mod spots this thread and decides to move/delete it

Aosp kernel that supports fast charge?

As the title states I'm looking for a kernel that does this. I've searched these threads for quite some time but haven't found a single one that does this. Could someone here point me in the right direction.

You sure you searched the threads correctly? It took me 0.5 seconds to find what you want...
As FastCharge is a Yank feature - you should have based your search queries around that.

Why so smug?
I'm searching xda for an xda kernel. I don't go outside xda much for obvious reasons. So why should I base my search outside xda? Your link did give me what I needed. But that required a different website all together.
A simple answer from you could of sufficed. No need for the attitude.

Sorry, it's not a smug attitude more of a "surviving in XDA" attitude.
That kernel is based on a very popular kernel by yank from xda, however he doesn't support mirrored links.
The kernel has been referenced a lot on XDA but he hasn't started his own thread mainly to get people to go to his forum.
There we go. Forgive me for not being here on xda long enough to realize who he is.
You don't search xda = chastised for not searching
You search xda with no results = learn to survive.
Wtf man. All I did was as a question in the general forum. Not in development or anything.

I've gotten used to it. It is a public forum after all.
This is why I resort to asking my friends first rather than asking the forums if any issues or questions arise.
Apologies for being the prick in this situation - haha.
XDA is something different. This video might help understand the world of XDA better
