Problem with Paragon mounter - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hy.
I have a 32GB NTFS SD Card and I installed the Paragon NTFS & HFS+ mounter. But it did not worked on my Samsung Galaxy S4 (4.2.2 android system). The program said it was successful but the phone said that I can remove the sd card safety. So what is the problem? How can I mount the NTFS SD Card on my SGS4?

Somebody?

There is nothing in usbdriveA. Maybe because it is not exist in the mnt folder. It's in the storage/usbdriveA but it contain nothing. You sure you have a 4.2.2 android system?
And if I have this problem, how can I fix it?

Because FAT have a file size limit which is 4 GB. And a 1080p Blu-Ray movie is not 4GB.

NTFS Formatted HDD and Flash drive or cards via card reader Easily mountable on ICS

Just an FYI post.
Sorry If this has been brought up before.
With the new ICS leaked kernal LP5, providing the USB OTG functionality, NTFS( Tested Myself) formatted FS can be mounted easily on our ICS builds with Drive Mount Thanks to Dwayne Hoy.
I have tested it with my 8GIGs flash drive and Externally powered IDE hard Drive.
It mounts it at mnt/sd1 folder.
Push Thanks If it helps you. And MODs plz delete this, If already brought up by anyone
Thank you

You should go to mnt/sda1 to view your files. Not usbstorage if thats where youre looking..
And plz confirm if the mount is successful or not after you mount it through that app. It should show the drive space total and occupied.
About the fc Im not sure cuz Im on imilka's. Never faced any in that app. Maybe try to wipe that app's data..
Edit: When it mounts it also shows the place where it is mounted. Try to look at that place maybe you see your files there wherever it mounts the drive

Doesn't work for me! You might be wrong about NTFS support...
But my flash-memory card successfully work with this mod.
Edit: Tested again, and it works! Thanks!

LP1 Kernel doesn't support USB-host at all!
anonymous572,
As active writer in the thread you quoted in post #8 (and eagerly waiting to move to ICS without losing my NTFS formatted card access), I did not exactly got what you wrote.
The presented procedure is intended for Gingerbread, not ICS. I wonder then what did you manage to get working on ICS using this process. Apart if the edit text explains that without applying the procedure, you managed, as said by dead-angel, using LP5 kernel NTFS support is native.
Can you be a bit more explicit?
Thanks.

actually LP5 kernals has the required drivers for USB Host mode (OTG) to work on ICS with LP5 kernal installed,
the NTFS support is just a modified script and driver to mount NTFS formatted card or whatever storage media..
That modified script to Initialize the NTFS driver is provided by the app Drive Mount (link in OP)
I hope you got the answer you were looking for.

Its just another formating tool, only windows may have problem formating large SD cards which this would be able to handle . Formating your SD card will give you a CLEAN installation, and can also be done by your phone... menu> settings>privacy> format or in CWM too

SanDisc 64 GB mSD might cause initial problems

I ordered a 64 GB mSD from SanDisk since they work nicely in my SGS III and Note.
I just took them out of he blister, inserted into the devices and worked right on.
Now in my SGN 10.1 I inserted the mSD, it was shortly recognized but immediately notified as "ejected safely". No hint what to do, no options presented (format)
Checked mSD then in my Note and it said: unformatted ext SD.
I formatted the new 64 GB mSD in my Note then placed it back in my Note 10.1 and it works like charm (59 GB available)
Just to inform You in case the same happens to You .......,.,
Cool, I just bought a 64gb card from yesterdays Amazon blowout and will try to format it in my SGSII before using in the Note 10.1!

HOw do you format using the note? I got mine from my inifinity dock (64g sandisk class 10) and just got my note and inserted the sdcard I did a half format on the computer to exFAT but it was taking too long.... then I reinserted it to the note, it showed unsupported type and asked if I wanted to format.... I click YES and there is no indicator that the card is being formatted.. So I hit the sdcard notification again and it asks if I want to format.. and samething. Am I doing something wrong?

Is the Note 10.1 reading the card in exFAT and are you able to store individual files over 4GB on the card? I had to re-format my SanDisk 64GB card in FAT to get it to be read by the Note. I'll go format the card in a Note or SGS3 floor model at the AT&T store if it'll get the Note 10.1 to see it as exFAT.

Did the Note 10.1 recognize the card as exFAT by itself or did you put it in another Samsung device like the SGS3 or Note first? If it recognized it by itself, what firmware are you running? You can find it in about device in settings.

Excellent. That means the missing exFAT native support will be released eventually. LH1 for Malaysia has a package date of August. I'm on LG5 for Brazil and the package date is July which is why exFAT doesn't work for me.

The same thing happened to me and it drove me crazy. This is what I ended up doing (from another thread). Some folks have just re-formatted to FAT32 using EaseUS without cloning.
BarryH_GEG said:
It's a total PITA. If you have another Android device with a MicroSD slot you can try formatting the card in that device first. A lot of people have had luck that way. I tried reformatting a 64GB SanDisk card to FAT using multiple different programs and the Note still wouldn't mount the card or give me the formattng option. Here's the solution, I know it's stupid.
1) Download EaseUS Partition Manager (it's free) - http://www.partition-tool.com/landing/home-download.htm
2) Take a blank FAT MicroSD card and mount it to your PC
3) Have the 64GB mounted at the same time so it too shows up on your PC
4) Using the clone wizard, clone the FAT card to the 64GB card. Make sure to expand the size of the 64GB card before cloning so it doesn't pick up the size of the smaller card.

EaseUS was alot easier to use than the one I used fat32format (cmd mode). Im transferring some of the movies I have on file, but some movies are failing to copy like mkv extensions when the sdcard is in the tablet. But copying mvk movies directly to the sdcard is fine and the tablet can play it... wierd

Junrider's coming from Asus so that's Chinese. Here's a link to the rooting instructions for the OG 10.1. Follow them but rather than using the custom files suggested for rooting purposes, use the download of the Note 10.1 OTA that got pulled. The first link below also has a d/l link for Odin 1.85. It's a harmless process and since it's official s/w you'll have no problem receiving future updates either OTA or via Kies. As far as I know the only issue with the update were some changes in S-Note that not everyone thought were beneficial. I have a N-8000 but think that my version of S-Note is the same as the one people in the U.S. got via the update. I'm fine with it. If there's other issues somebody please chime in.

Sandisk ultra 32GB class 10 doesn't work

My S4 does not recognize my new sd card. Just got it today I put my photos and music on it but it is not detected on the phone, any fixes? Already formated it twice
You might have to format it to fat32 or install a kernel that recognizes your current microsd format.
i formatted to fat32 on my PC with a 64GB microSD. from then on it works fine. when i got the S4 i just swapped it in and it works fine. full format to fat32 and see if phone recognizes it.
It came default formated to fat32, gonna try to do it again and see what happens

download minitool partition wizard for windows
use it to delete any partitions on your sd card
create a new partition of fat32
then once it created and you want to use it in your phone just reformat it on your phone from your phone settings/storage (need to press unmount sd card first)
if your sd card is still in working order it will work
note doing this will delete any data you have on your sd card

well you can look at the manifest - you will need to resign the app if you change it
also the game must be for armv6 and android 2.3.6 or below unless you are running cm9 then 4.04 or below (but cm9 currently has no audio and I dont know if games run on it) - it wont install at all if the game is for amv7 only
and a game of 100mb is probably hd or armv7 only so even if you do get it installed the chance of it running smoothly on a galxy y 5360 is slim

you mistake physical internel storage with virtual internal storage
just becase you have a 2nd sd card partition of xyz doesnt mean your internal storage increases - it doesnt - it stays exactly the same - this is physical storage - it never changes
what you are doing is creating virtual internal storage on your sd card - apps installed here act like they are on physical internal storage
you still need a large ammount of physical internel storage to install the app before it is moved/linked to virtual storage plus data is still stored on physical storage

thanks for that info, now i know that i cant install it.. sad..
but is it possible to increase internal memory? i checked my friends phone again and it really is 2.20GB internal memory
SG mini pocket..
Like what marcussmith said, it is virtual storage. Once he removes the SD card, the internal storage will return to its actual value.
If you REALLY want to increase internal storage legitimately, you will need to break the phone apart and replace the storage devices within. It would be better to buy a new phone than go through all the fuss just to increase physical legit storage and also the cost of buying the new storage might be enough to buy another phone...
And also you must find a storage device that fits into the casing of the phone. Wouldn't it be awkward using a phone with the chipsets bulging out of the phone casing?
