its very complicated but it might work for you. it took me 4 days to finally figure out how to do it but was unable to get my pictures back. a lot of other people have reported successes so might as well give it a go...

Try Undelete from Play
Edit - Sorry that's only for sd cards

Enable USB debug in dev options then connect to your pc and you should be able to use any photo recovery software, it will treat the phone as a memory card/USB .
Worth a shot should work as I've seen done on iPhones and some android phones

Guys anymore suggestions? USB debugging don't seem to work for me... my phone is not rooted too

[HELP] Accidental Data Format

Hy Everybody,
I made a big mistake... I formated my data partition in TWRP ( I think I need to learn not tryng to flash and wipe things with some hours of sleep after a party... hating me right now)
The system is still there (and bootable) but all my data is lost (music and photos as well as backups).
Now my question to you, I desperatly need your help... How can I get my stuff back (those mentionned above).
I tried some known windows applications like recuva, but they don't recognize the phone (an MTP ting maybe ?)
TWRP won't mount the sd card while in recovery : getting error "unable to mount 'usb-otg' "
Does somebody have an idea ? Please help me, being unable to use my phone because of not wanting to make the things irrecoverable is a pain
Thanks for your much appreciated help
For all intents and purposes you have lost your data. Without specialist tools your data isn't coming back.

I recovered many hard drives in my life, the problem here is that with MTP I can't use the normal tools.
Is there a way to mount the phone as Mass storage ?
I'mnot getting any further with this...
Isn't there a way to mount the phone as a mass storage ? This would be the solution...

Not sure if this is any help to you, but in AOKP you can go into settings / storage and click the 3 dot menu, then USB computer connection, and change the way the device is mounted (MTP or mass storage) not sure about xylon though.

Its not going to matter. You can't change our storage to mass storage.
Its probably in aokp settings because they build for many devices.

[Help!]Is it possible to mount S4's internal SDCard in USB mode?

I accidentally deleted some important photos which stored in my S4's internal SDCard. So I connected my phone to PC through USB cable, and plan to run some recovery tools from PC to get them back. However, when connected, my S4's identified as MTP (portable media device) rather than USB Mass Storage, therefore those recovery tools can't do anything.
I googled the net and found some apks that help my phone to switch between MTP/USB mode, however this method only works for external SDCard.
Any ways to retrieve accidentally deleted files? Thank you in advance!
p.s. I do heard about that flash TWRP in will help the PC identify the phone as a USB Mass Storage Device, is this true? If it's true, how do I do it?
Thx!!!

Thanks, but no this was exactly the app I used, it can't mount the internal card. If you read carefully the author also says 'It will never be able to export the internal storage on the device.' All my deleted pics are on the internal card so....

Photos recovery without Root, possible?

Hello. I have just deleted my photos and videos from Note 3. I just let delete the whole DCIM directory (thinking it's just one photo that I saw)...
My phone is unrooted. Is there any option to undelete these photos? 6 mounts of living of my 2years son is there.. If there is a way to do it without rooting that's perfect, if not I have to learn how to do it..

No, that is no working. How can I get my photos back? ;/
I found that: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2123999
It's for S3. Should it work with Note3?
Maybe there is any easier way?

It should work.
If it somehow successfully allows you to view your phone in disk mode instead of MTP, then you can recover.
I use Piriform's Recuva as well but for other uses.
Recovering when I can see my internal memory as a mass memory in PC is a pice of cake With jpg every program should be fine. The question is how to do the first thing.

MTP =/= Disk mode. You will have to mount your internal storage AS IF you were plugging the chip directly into the computer. Basically a way in which it allows you to format the drive, is the true disk mode. This is entirely different from just plugging in your phone to the computer as this is MTP mode.
If you can get to this stage, then you should be able to. That is what the S3 guide is all about. This is theoretical and an educated guess, if the only thread is the S3 guide then your best bet is from those experiences.
EDIT: Since you have SG Usb Enabler, then try Piriform's Recuva on it.
I know this. I know all of this, I just dont know how to force to have internal storage as a mass storage visible.. I will try later with this solution for S3..
SG Usb Enabler helps only with extrenal SD card.
hmmm any ideas how to do it?

Recover deleted photos deleted from internal memory

Hello everyone. Im sorry maybe i didnt open the discussion in the right place. I use galaxy s4 and suddenly i deleted my camera photos. And all of them were in internal memory of the phone. No ext sd card i have on my phone. The big problem is how to get the pictures back. I have root acces and running on 4.4.2 pls i need it very urgently.if anyone has idea pls right here or message me here thank u all reading this
Someone else had this issue, but in their case it was a factory reset. My recommendation to that person was to try Recuva, but unfortunately, Recuva doesn't detect the existence of the S4 at all. I did a quick google search and found an alternative that may work for you, here. Your S4 must be rooted for it to function.
I have not tried this, so I do not know if it will work. I changed the save location to the MicroSD card through the Camera's settings, as well as enabled write access to the MicroSD for all apps, so I have little to no need of this program.
Thank u. I think one more. As u said recuva doesnt detect the existence of s4. Is that possible to make something on a phone to mounts its internal drive as usb drive on a computer then we can scan it with any recovery program.
i dont think you can get your pictures back lol. since its called ''DELETE''
Not true. When a file is deleted the pointers to the file are changed to mark the space the file occupied available for writing, however the file is still present on the drive. Programs like Recuva work because the file isn't overwritten when deleted. However, Recuva doesn't recognize MTP devices. The only way Recuva can recognize a MTP device is if the transfer protocol is changed to UMS. Note that PTP mode on the S4 is NOT sufficient for the purpose.
Well how to change the transfer protocol to UMS? Any ideas?
SG USB Mass Storage Enabler will work as long as you're not on Android 4.4.x, according to the developer. Otherwise you'll need an app like Airdroid to do the job. There are other apps on the Play Store that may work.
EDIT: Some added research here seems to indicate that doing this will not work on the internal storage, as the internal storage has not been a separate partition since Android 3.0 according to Google. Try it, but I suspect @xDroidZz is correct, though not for the reason he thinks.
One more interesting is that possible to mount internal.file system over recovery? I have cwm recovery . I mean to mount file system through recovery before system boots and recover files then. Is that idea possible?
