If you formatted everything instead of just doing the 'wipe' options (ESPECIALLY the /system partition, formatted or wiped), its dead unless you can get into recovery and flash a ROM.

I dont know how to enter the cwm....

Hi,
you can reach the recovery, if you connect an USB Keyboard to the Ouya.
Power on the device and press ALT+Print(S-Abf). Then press the "i" key for a about few seconds, stop pressing it and repeat the precedure.
After 5-6 Times you should reach the recovery and you can sideload an Image.

what key is the print(s-abf) key? is that the print screen key with sys rg?
ediy: yes is the same key... but i guess you are german

yes, this should be the key.
I have a German Keyboard, so it is a bit tricky to guess the description

This thread did make me wonder though, does the OUYA have any fastboot-esque interface for extra-recovery repair options?

Yes, ADB reboot bootloader will take you into fastboot mode. You'll need to tell windows to use the ADB drivers again, but I was able to boot the CWM recovery image this way without flashing it.

Very glad to hear it! I didn't see much mention of fastboot, so I was somewhat concerned.

recovery possible without vol-down?

i was reflashing my DHD to fix some issues i was having with it, but the reflash (from cm7 to virtuous unity) has left me in a boot loop and i'm not sure how to get out of it as one ofthe recent problems with my phone was that the vol-down key isn't working.
is there a way to boot into recovery and reflash again without the use of the vol-down key?
i've tried abd, but the phone restarts before a point where abd with pick it up so i think i might be a bit stuck.

as i understand, he is stuck at bootloop.
try to use something like pen or toothpick to press vol down button(if you dont have cover press) and then try to boot in recovery.
If you can turn on your phone, download 4ext and touch recovery

you could always just try running an ruu, it will continue retying adb commands for a set period of time. so just start running through it while the device is in the boot loop.
was stuck in a boot loop that was occuring before abd could see the phone with a non-functioning vol-down key so i couldn't boot into recovery.
However, it turns out that i was able to get a pin under the vol-down key and lift it enough to use the pin to press it during power on and was able to then get into recovery and do a full reset and re-apply a fresh firmware and it's working fine now (minus the vol-down key still), but thanks for all the tips and suggestions.

HELP - Did I brick my new Nexus 4

I think I bricked my brand new Nexus 4 I was trying to follow the rooting directions here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1993331
I was using the Clokcworkmod and I was unable to see the super su folder in the sd connection. and i rebooted it anyways. Now after reboot the phone doesnt start up It just hangs at the X symbol at the startup.
As suggested, I also tried to reboot recovery, which also hangs
I'm super new to this, anybody, please help

Just start again, sometimes it messes up, but you generally just start again with flashing the clockworkmod. Make sure the download wasnt corrupted by doanloading everything again though, although ignore the bit about adb rboot bootloader, you need to start the phone manually by use power + volume-down key combination to get into bootloader when its powered off and continue from point 5.
Thanks, I will give that a try

Don't freak out. I'm sure you're fine.
Unlocking the bootloader on my N10 caused me to hang at the X. Wiping data fixed it for me. Try the following:
1. Reboot into Fast Boot
2. Select Recovery using volume rocker. Hit power to select. You'll get the android mascot with the red exclamation point.
4. Press Power and Volume Up at the same time.
5. Choose to wipe all data. Confirm the selection.
6. Reboot.

So I didn't originally flash the recovery image, just booted into it. So I tried that again, but there is nowhere to find the SU_BusyBox_Pack.zip. I tried the sideload method, but ADB can't find my device any more. It shows nothing when I do adb devices.
what else can I try ?
Were you able to try wiping data through the stock recovery?

I got stuck after just booting into recovery as well and immediately exit. Just use the volume key and change it until you see recovery, without going into it, I just fastboot flash recovery recovery.img from pc, then factory reset.

[Q] Device bootloops after messed up partition

I once tried to use geno's partition resize, and after a reboot, it cannot boot into system anymore. Stuck at the huawei logo.
Since I'm quite familiar with linux, I tried this solution: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1971266
However, my linux installation didn't show any drives when it's in pink screen mode, so I'm pretty much stuck here.
In Windows 8 it did show two HUAWEI Technologies device (no drivers though) in pink screen mode.
I can't access recovery mode either, holding power + vol up only does normal boot for some strange reason. Anyone can help me out here?

try put official GB dload file on sd card, then put sd card in phone press power up+power down+power...
maybe it'll help you.
I tried that too, and it still bootloops. Not much luck.
Go to recovery and wipe everything. Then, reboot recovery, and then try partitioning again.
I can't get into recovery by pressing power + vol up. It just does normal boot (which bootloops).
If there would be any other way to get into recovery (such as via ADB or update.app) would be highly appreciated.

Yes, you can boot into recovery via adb:
Code:
adb reboot recovery
But, you cannot use that until your phone is booted up.
If that doesn't work, you can follow these instructions to hard reset your phone:
http://www.hard-reset.com/huawei-u8800-ideos-x5-hard-reset.html
Good Luck.
I can't get it to do the hard reset either. It just boots normally, aside from the bootloop.
I believe I need to fix the partition first before I try to reinstall stock. I hear that stock doesn't work with custom partitions. Which is why I'd prefer to at least get some access to the device via USB in order to fix it.
Ah well. It's a failing device anyway. Even before the brick the camera doesn't work anymore, regardless of which ROM I choose. Maybe it's time to move on for me.

Well, I tried this too (in fact I stated it in the first post) but pink screen mode isn't showing any device (I typed in "dmesg" in the Linux Terminal, none is found).
I appreciate your help, though. If I can solve the detection problem, I should be able to recover my phone using this method. I'd be happy to share some logs if it helps.

Hey, this is my first post well here it goes
Step 1 :- Format the sd card and put dload folder in it ( you'll get it from the official rom zip file)
Step 2 :- press and hold vol+ & vol- and then power button, it'll start upgrading
Step 3 :- now here is the tricky part!!! i was stuck here too and gone half mad well, let it reboot it will format cache etc and then bootloops, now turn off the device and then turn on pressing vol+ and power button, or u can try by pressing home, vol+ and power button, u'll b in recovery mode i.e in official rom builtin i guess.
Step 4 :- once in recovery, select reset factory default and clear partition cache, and then reboot!!!! Voila u will b able to finally boot successfully...
Now listen very carefully, u got only one chance here, cause if u reboot ur device again then bootloops will start again so in the first go, root the device by superoneclick and then install recovery i guess u knw all that and then u will be able to return to stock rom by flashing... once u've installed CWM then u r good to go bootloop wont effect ya SORRY FOR MY BAD ENGLISH THOUGH

That's weird. Can you install the Android SDK or ADT and get adb.
Then plug your S4 to the computer (I assume the drivers are installed?) and open up cmd. Set adb to your path variables or just browse over to the adb where you installed your SDK and run
Code:
adb devices
to see list of devices and check if yours is there. Then type
Code:
adb reboot download
Let me know if that works.

Well if CWM works, and you flashed a stock ROM using Odin, does the issue persist? If so, it could be a hardware issue then.
EDIT: Although the issue in the OP seems to be solved partially no? Can you boot normally to your ROM? Can you boot to recovery (vol-up + power)? Download mode (vol-down + power)? Anyone of them through adb?

You're supposed to press vol-down and power. Not menu. I guess that's a typo?
Anyway, if it doesn't work in those ways, I'm not sure what's left besides taking it to the shop and getting it replaced.
Does adb devices detect the phone as online? If so, you can try this toolkit and maybe that boots you to download mode?

no one gonna hold your hand through this, you need to do research. I havent install ADB in a year I dont remember everything.
You have to plug it into a USB 2.0 drive and manually select a driver from Google, it is on some page here but i'm sure you'll find it! If you have a microusb drive you can place the ROM on it and flash

do you can enter recovery? what recovery do you have, cwm or twrp?
basically, if you enter recovery, just reflash your rom, that you already downloaded.
