[TOOL][WINDOWS] ADB Graphical User Interface GUI - Android Software Development

Hey guys I know I have posted some other similar programs, but hopefully this will raise the bar on how people use Android Debug Bridge.
So To start off, this program will not root any phone, but can easily break a phone if used improperly.
Secondly, If you need to ask what a button in the program THEN DO NOT USE IT!
I will only answer questions if they involve drivers or programming bugs, NOT for something like "What is Sync?" because If you do not know, then you do not need to know now.
SEE LINKS BELOW FOR MORE RECENT UPDATES!
This program has some built in ADB functions:
Rebooting- Recovery/Bootloader/Fastboot.
Sync from a folder (If you don't know or have to ask do not use!)
Use logcat
Start up a shell instance (With root if possible.)
Remount (Needs root also)
Flash(Recovery/Boot.img)
Root SOME devices(Using Bin4ry Script Credit to him)
Auto Download Root script
adb shell built in now
cmd shell built in
automatic updates
push files
install apks
get misc system information
Download ODIN for Samsung devices
Detect HTC device correctly for once lol
Application Manager
ADB Learning Center (Under Construction but not beta)
4.0-4.3 Backup Manager (Using adb backup NOT Nandroid)
0Nandroid intergration
Build.PROP veiwer (Soon to be editor too!)
Free device ram and kill background process
MORE TO COME!
___________________________________________________________________
Also a BIG thing for this program is the ability to install ADB and Fastboot into Windows as a command in Command Prompt.
This would allow one to use adb as a normal command from CMD.
E.G "C:\Users\Lab\>adb shell"
Instead of having to CD to C:\android\and all that.
Download the program: Version 5.0.2.26:New Download link[/COLOR]
As far as the newest huge feature in ADBGUI goes, the Application Manager is to be considered Pre-beta and should be used with extreme caution.
Requirements for the Application Manager:
> You need root
> It only works with 3rd Party (Downloaded from google play or other source)
> It does not work with all devices and has some major bugs.
Come on guys give some feed back!
Well enjoy!
Have questions or maybe want to report an issue?
Check out my Discussions Forum here otherwise you can post here at XDA Forums
About ClickOnce:
The core principle of ClickOnce is to ease the deployment of Windows applications. In addition, ClickOnce aims to solve three other problems with conventional deployment models: the difficulty in updating a deployed application, the impact of an application on the user's computer, and the need for administrator permissions to install applications.
ClickOnce-deployed applications are considered 'low impact', in that they are installed per-user, not per-machine. No administrator privileges are required to install one of these applications. Each ClickOnce application is isolated from the other. This means one ClickOnce application is not able to 'break' another. ClickOnce employs Code Access Security (CAS) to ensure that system functions cannot be called by a ClickOnce application from the web, ensuring the security of data and the client system in general.
Some other thinks about ClickOnce:
My ClickOnce application is personally signed, so windows will tell you the publisher is "Unknown" but that is OK. It will install just fine.
[UPDATE Nov. 21st 2013]

Is this ADB GUI project open source?
I think this is a really cool idea. Might also help get more users into ADB and willing to learn what things do. (sometimes it's scary when thinking of command line)

Full Featured Developer Script for ROMs - Need ideas for a name

I am currently work on a program/script to manage ROMs, and I will be releasing it initially for the Kindle Fire for beta testing. This will be a full featured program with the following :
- Compile ROMs from source
- Extract & zip ROMs
- Decompile/Compile APK and JAR files in the ROM (selective or the whole ROM at once)
- Unpack / repack kernel
- ROMs and devices each will have their own config file to store information specific to each, such as comments and status
- Much more planned, such as the ability to browse and edit files, search and compare, etc
The big advantage to this, and what prompted me to write this in the first place, is the ability to have all of the necessary tools in one place and better keep track of your ROM projects. As I was working on modifying or porting ROMs, a big headache was having to go to so many places to do different things to a ROM, which leaves files scattered all over your hard drive.
This will help keep everything more organized and the goal is to cut out manually having to do so much when it comes to basic tasks, and eventually even the more advanced tasks involved.
The initial release will be for Linux, but a Windows version will follow (minus the Linux specific features such as compile from source).
I have made some great progress on this already, and am close to a beta release.
So, what I need help on is a name for this. Here is what I have so far as choices, I welcome suggestions. Those that reply with suggestions for a name will be the first to receive beta versions to try out
- DEVROID
- [ARM] Android Rom Master
That is all I have so far, so please throw some good options my way.

This was originally just for the KF but most of this stuff is generic enough to work on other devices, so I will be adding functionality for multiple devices. So the name shouldn't be specific to the KF. I'm just offering it for the KF first.
When it was going to be KF specific I had "Kindle Inferno" in mind....
Now that would be a good name for a ROM !

[Add-on] [Beta] [Aroma] [Privacy] Guardian Project Installer V1.0

Guardian Project Installer V1.0 Beta
Many thanks to the people at www.guardianproject.info for their hard work!
What is this?
This is a flashable zip (tested with CWM) that installs most of the apps from the Guardian Project. The guardian project is a non-profit organization that is building apps and tools to help users and whistle-blowers alike to stay safe and anonymous in this day and age. This is a faster way to setup a secure/private device. I also encourage enabling Full Disk Encryption in ICS/JB settings. Quote from the site:
How Guardian Helps
While we think that a secure, privacy-enhanced mobile phone is a good thing for just about anybody going about their daily lives, we like to also consider the extreme cases, where this technology might change the course of someones life.

I will add it to the list I will have to take a look at the resource files and see where FDroid stores the repos.
hey, thanks for this. I got here from the Guardian Project mailing list, and I just posted this feedback there.
The full zip installs fine on a Samsung Galaxy S i9000, running CM10 nightly 20120820 and Semaphore 2.0.6 kernel. The progress bar didn't go all the way across, so I thought it might've bailed, but it looks all good now.
So far tried I've Orbot and TextSecure, which I assume were reinstalled, and my settings+data remained. Ostel kept my login info, too, but going into settings I get incredible lags (which may be the new CM10, and the funky partitions that the dev/device maintainer used to work around our space limitations and NAND speeds). Also tried ObscuraCam and opened Panic, looks OK. New toys that I've never played with yet.
Before flashing this, though, I tried installing the update zip, in the hopes I'd add Orweb, ObscuraCam, etc., and not lose data+settings with the apps I already had. The flash said it completed (again, despite that the progress bar didn't go all the way across), but when I rebooted, I had no new apps. Then a weird quirk: I opened a data connection and Orbot, and it connected fine, but a check with Firefox Beta said I had no net connection. Checking mail in K9 gave me errors, but Twitter with Tor proxies set loaded fine. According to IP Track, I had no external IP. I turned off Orbot, turned it on again, and then all was working as expected. Strange.
Anyway, thanks; this is a great project. I also want to ask: Any chances of including RedPhone? It's open source now, but unavailable on Play where I am; I think it's limited to only the US. I used Market Unlocker to get it, and will be testing it here soon. Nathan of Guardian Project was saying that outside of the US, it may have push/wake problems. I'll find out soon here, but if it's not too buggy, it'd be great for everyone outside the US.
edit: also, what about adding MD5 checksums, or a GPG signature?

[DUALBOOT MOD] Shared Apps

Hello everyone!
First of all, I am posting here as I am not able to post in the Development Forum. If a moderator sees this fit could he/she please move this thread to the Development forum.
This is a mod to Siyah's Kernel which allows Dual Booting.
Currently you are unable to share apps between your two ROM's and to me that is really annoying.
WELL, after much research and testing I have devised a script to allow sharing of apps between ROM's.
WARNING: Should only be used on freshly flashed 2nd ROM's otherwise you will lose all your downloaded apps for your 2nd ROM!!!
They way this works is to mount the data from your 1st ROM in your 2nd ROM, then symbolic link the app folder.
Now for all you people that are going to nag saying it has issues, stop it! If it has issues fix it yourself! I tested this on Omega ROM and ParanoidAndroid and it works fine.
First go through the process of flashing your 2nd ROM. Once that is completely boot into your 1st ROM again and download the attached file and extract its contents to "/data/media" otherwise known as the root of your internal SD Card.
Once completed, reboot into your 2nd ROM and download/open your Terminal app and type in the following commands
(lines starting with # are comments so don't type those into your terminal, also hit enter at the end of each line):
Code:
# Escalate to root (hit grant if a dialog pops up)
su
# Remount the system so you can write to it
mount -o rw,remount /system
# Now copy the file from your SD Card to /system/etc/init.d
cp /data/media/01userinit.sh /system/etc/init.d/01userinit.sh
# Change working directory to /system/etc/init.d
cd /system/etc/init.d
# Rename the 01userinit.sh to 01userinit
# If 01 is already used then choose the next lowest number e.g. 01banner so choose 02
rename 01userinit.sh 01userinit
# Change permissions just to make sure (remember to use your number if you changed the 01 part)
chmod 771 01userinit
After doing this close the terminal and reboot the phone into the 2nd ROM again. This time it should take a little longer and might say its upgrading a few apps.
This is largely untested so there is no guarantee it will work.
WARNING!!!! MUST READ THIS WARNING!!!!
Uninstalling an application from either ROM WILL uninstall it from the other ROM as well!!!
You are sharing apps directly, no mimics or anything!!!
Thanks for reading! Feedback is much appreciated, if there are issues I will be glad to listen and see if I can fix them but I make no promises. :silly:

Nice mod! It is worth noting that the script only links the apps (APKs) between ROMs. It does not link the data (databases/preferences) used by these apps.
I'm trying to link the sms messages across ROMs but the db seems to be different between Samsung and CM ROMs. I would like to see what would you do here

Could you please tell me what ROM's you are using and whether or not they are fresh installs.
Just tried this with Omega v28 and PA 2.2 as 2nd, didn't work but not a fresh install. I'm swapping then backing up PA to try again now and see if it works.
Edit: Just formatted 2nd rom and reinstalled as per OP's instructions and it worked. So that's the key I guess Awesome work OP!!
Tried this and didn't work, tried numerous times.
1st ROM: Paranoid
2nd ROM: Omega 28 (did a fresh install)
Does not show any of my apps in omega ROM from paranoid ROM.
I did encounter a problem in the terminal stage, on the moving file part its says can not find the file, I have to do it manually.

[TOOL] Starting a new tool

I'm a beginner in AndroidModding, and the ways that I have found so far are boring (as well as my ability to describe my project).
Basically, I'm developing a visual tool to facilitate mods creation. I know there are already some, but I intend to make a better base for beginners as I don't make crap.
I'll leave out some screen shots and when I make the program more stable I'll upload a first test version.
I wish everyone who has any idea about what I can add in the project manifest and suggest the same. At the end I will give credit to all who help me improve things.
And also, if you guys think this is will be useless please tell me this too

shfddi being
:good:
i'll help to test if u want to..
Live log would be good. To watch as phone boots into an inevitable bootloop when trying something new. Saves running log separately and lets you view as it happens. With filtering would be good. Adbmagic did something similar but you cant copy or search the log.

Bcmon,RFA

Hi
I have seen this hacking app called "Reaver" and i had to install "Bcmon" for this to work but i cannot get bcmon up and working it either force closes or it says device not supported, as i tried hacking my own WiFi which my bro change the password and he doesn't want to give the code, so i tried hacking because wifi is my life i cant live without her , anyways so i am asking if there is anyway to make this broadcom wifi chipset work? Anyway at all? If you can mod please do
Thanks alot in advance

Bcmon is very finicky when it comes to what it will work with. I suggest checking out their dev page for a better idea of the requirements. Unless you have the ability to code your own driver for mon, it's not likely to find support. For penn testing You can go the linux deploy route, that coupled with a usb otg cable and a wifi card that works with the Bully\aircrack suite (I think that's what reaver needs ).

first you need a compatible device
Hi first u need a compatible device to hack a WPA wpa2 WiFi or let it be wep
First u need to get a mobile having 4329, or4330 WiFi chipset I refer u HTC nexus one which is rare mobile having 0.5 % popularity or galaxy gs2 then if u got n1 install cm9 on it (cm10 on gs2) and then I hope u'r bcmon will work once it'll work then u can use either RFA or air crack GUI thanks ...
Im trying to make Reaver for Android work on my device due its not compatible with bcmon, im using custom scripts.
Im getting the following error:
CANNOT LINK EXECUTABLE: library "libpcap.so.1" not found
Due that, i used the following solution command:
export
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/path/to/your/dir:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH
Obvious /path/to/your/dir is an example, mine is /sdcard/Download/libpcap.so.1
But im not getting success... i continue getting the error... Please somebody help
