[ALERT] Bell Listing Galaxy SII - Coming soon!

It's finally coming to Canada. (Probably July 14th)...looks like the international version to me!
Their homepage currently does not link to the SGS2 page.

If its under 600$, I am so getting one. However I don't wanna give more cuz its stupid to spend that much money for a phone.

I have the same problem man. I am thinking how to not make her angry and get the phone. I mentioned it before and said I am gonna give my sgs to u and buy the sgs2 for myself but she doesnt care and doesnt want to have a smart phone. However, I got the phone last year.

Funny that you mention this as there is a direct link on the Bell site to a contest for a HTC Sensation using the exact same page setup and form as the link from OP.

Bell phones are always locked to their network, but the SGS2 is easily unlocked (and for free)

The SGS II will be available from Bell on July 14th.
The no-contract price has been confirmed to be $599.95
The 3-year contract price is $169.95

6 week later release daye one the black one?

Hello guys.
I just came home from work, working at a big electronics shop in northern europe. My friend from work, who is in charge for the phone section tells me, that the black htc one will be released about 6 weeks after the silver. Dunno why, and that HTC have run into some problems. delaying black/silver 2-3 weeks.
Can anyone you you confirm/decline this info?

I hear at&t gets it first around the end of april. The rest follow suit in early may.

AT&T might have awful customer service, but things like this are the reasons I stick around. AT&T seems to be very happy with the sales of the Galaxy devices and is becoming pretty fair with their updates, so it doesn't surprise me that they'll probably get the S4 first. Also, I'm sure that Samsung loves AT&T.

I just switched to at&t from tmobile and i love them. Great service so far.

I know it will become available sometime in the middle of April. I'm waiting to get my hands on it to play with it

I believe on contract it will be $200. Or has things changed because of the LTE.

If it is 200 thats even better. Im not sure about lte pricing myself. About to upgrade from s2

I dropped AT&T after 10+ years when they refused to offer Android because they had their noses up Steve Jobs' sphincter.
But I went to T-Immobile which was a real mess.
Am on Verizon now, but will be back to AT&T for the S4 so I can have an unlocked global phone. No more CDMA for me. And there is no way in Hell that I would ever lock myself into a contract. Kind of like playing Russian Roulette just to drive a car you can't really save for.

Whenever we go in to ATT store i run Speedtest on one of their 4g phones- usually around 8mb. Then i run it on my VZW and it's like 18mb. So i think verizon wins in that category.

How are people customizing the Moto X Already?

I went to the Moto X site, and I had to sign up and wait for an email notification to do any customization or pre-ordering. Is anyone actually pre-ordering this thing yet?

Untrue. They haven't opened to anybody yet. The only people who have been able to order so far are those part of the MotoMaker BETA through the friends and family program, and the press. And the majority of them haven't shipped out yet.

What you don't seem to understand is that the two programs are separate. There was a employee referral program for family/friends last week who got to order last week on Aug 14, and then a different program for att customers who were able to order on Aug 19. Even though the att testers ordered already this week, none of those phones will ship out because the phones from referral program have not shipped out yet due to delays.

Interesting. I was told that Motorola was holding off on it until they get the pending orders shipped. It appears even those who have ordered through signing up with ATT, haven't had theirs ship out yet, so I misunderstood. I'm hoping mine ships out tomorrow as per their email regarding the slight delay.

this would also explain how there is 1 report from 1 person who got their MotoMaker made Moto X.

Sort of figured you were going to refer to one of the reviews. The press and VIP obviously got priority and manually bypassing whatever production problems manually to get those orders done and shipped out in a timely manner. Otherwise I doubt moto wants to deal with bad press. The rest of us are stuck in limbo right now as they won't send out until they fix those problems. Keep in mind that these pre-release programs are meant to be a beta test to see if they can handle a few hundred orders coming for the exact reason of working out mass production issues before launch.

I'm just giving you the facts bro. You think Apple, Samsung, or any other oem just builds a production line, flips a switch, and everything works fine the first run? Moto knows exactly what they are doing, because this isn't their first rodeo and that's why you have test runs before launch to work things out. The only difference here is the motomaker requires customization, so it requires actual customers to simulate a test run. Whereas creating just all black and white phones can be done internally, which is why you never hear anything about those.

Lol. Didn't realize that you read that. I still do defend that statement though. Better to have issues before launch than after and have thousands of people complaining after launch. Even though I'm waiting for mine to ship, I can't call them and complain since it's a pre-release test.

Android 4.3 postponed to second week of january 2014

Hi all,
Today after chating with Hong Kong chat support they informed me that the upgrade process for Xperia SP,V and TX will be postponed to week 2 or 3 2014 as per picture below, but they didn't confirm if it is for all carriers or only at Hong Kong.

That's terrible news!

This update will come eventually, so does 4.4

The PS4 has nothing to do with the upcomming update. Ive reported this thread because we dont need a dozen threads about the upcomming update.
There is a news thread about this so continue the disussion in there

Please use the existing thread for 4.3 and 4.4 news HERE instead of creating a new thread.
