Hello guys.
I just came home from work, working at a big electronics shop in northern europe. My friend from work, who is in charge for the phone section tells me, that the black htc one will be released about 6 weeks after the silver. Dunno why, and that HTC have run into some problems. delaying black/silver 2-3 weeks.
Can anyone you you confirm/decline this info?

I have spoken to two online retailers in the UK and they both tell me the date for stock coming in is 11th November, so should have one in my hand on the 12th. Hey thats my wedding anniversary, what a great present for me.

Just come across an HTC Touch HD unboxing video and posted it on my blog, its not in English but some more eye candy to enjoy and it looks like the retail packaging which is a good sign that release is getting closer.

Looked like he was having a few problems with the tf3d. Hope the interface is going to be smooth and responsive and not like the touch diamond!! The confirmed date for UK is the 9th Nov but this can apparantly move either way.

thats because he let his finger of the screen sometimes while sliding trough the tabs. take a look at this video: touchflow works great now!

I think it´s that he let of his finger of the screen like someone said or that he got a old pre-release version. In the other video, it works great as said earlier!

How do I know which batch my DHD is ?
I read that the first batches are facing a lot of problems so thats why I am curious. I got my phone last week (T-mobile branding) since the supplier had it in stock.
I have no problems with my DHD and I got it 2 days after release.

Do you mean, there was 1 batch of 10 to be the first in NL?
I got mine from Vodafone Eindhoven (which is in NL for the non-NL people ) the day it was first available (the famous first Friday) and it is fine
I got mine release day with t-mobile. All good and no branding. You'll be fine. If it's not working, send it back.

Galaxy S has been discontinued in INDIA, and this fact, i have been looking for one from past 2 weeks for my dev work, though i have allreday 2 phones with me...
here is one of the source... not sure its true or just a fake news... but no stock in BANGALORE

This is probably true. I went to a Croma today (at Mumbai), they were out of stock and they would not comment on when and if new stocks would arrive. They didn't actually say that it's been discontinued, however even the display piece has been removed.
I enquired at our local TheMobileStore & they said that production had stopped & no further stock was expected.
Why would it be phased out to make way for the Nexus S. I thought the nexus was Manufactured by Samsung for Google so they don't actually sell it it's google phone to sell. It could just be though that in India the market appears to be moving over to purchasing the Nexus so its pointless selling the Galaxy there?
i bought mine on dec 15th 2010 . Guess i am one of the last set of lucky owners

Have you not been following the news? Not the Nexus S but the Galaxy S x2 which is being announced at CES on the 6th. The name is not certain but hte phone is. Code will be one of three. I9020, I9200, I9300. Rejoice.

It will be 'obsolete' in 3-6 months once the dual-core phones hit the market. Hehe. I think LG is planning a launch anytime now, Samsung et al will certainly follow.

Does this mean end of new firmwares for SGS?
Hope not. Sonyericsson offer 2 year support so I hope the same goes here. Although samsung have ben a lil more forthcoming with their updates lol.

lol, 2 years. I would bet money for the fact they'll never bring froyo to the x10. SE is best example for how you can make good hardware underperforming at its maximum.

Has anyone started working on getting CM9 running on any of the US versions of the SGS 3 yet?
I have begun working on it, but if someone is already farther along then I, I will let them keep at it, otherwise, I am running headlong into it.
I already have 1 kernel compiled, and prepped for testing, since I just got my phone today, I am not quite ready to start testing this just yet.

I got mine preordered the day before the phone came out online at bestbuy.com. it was mailed to me today from a town 20 miles from me . Even though I hate best buy because I wanted to get a tv a few years ago and they couldn't deliver it 3 times and then I gave up.

I preordered on the 5th, the day before everybody else opened preorders.....yet i'm one of the last to get it. No real solid date yet but i'm hoping it's the 28th as rumored :fingers-crossed:

sucks dude but if it makes you feel any better i called t-mobile to check if they had stock of the phones and aparently they dont but they assure me i will get it within 3-5 days we will see.
spoke to t-mobile today and they assure be it was being dispatched from there warehouse today!!!! so fingers crossed i will let you guys know when it arrives also had any one else ordered from t-mobile uk?
