Hello,
I just found out a way (accually two ways)
First,
Dump the mbr
Second,
Generate our own codes, for next time
So I will need a dump from a bootloader unlocked Razr and I can unlock it...
So how?
Easy:
Code:
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0 of=/sdcard/mbr.bin bs=512 count=256
Send a PM with the mbr.bin on your sdcard
Cheers!!!
https://www.dropbox.com/s/p7nwjkuzj1qexmd/mbr.bin
There you go. Not quite sure what you hope to find in the MBR.
BTW this is an unlocked XT925
Are you trying to exploit a unlock method?
You are not your iPhone 5

Considering the title has nothing to do with the post and that the pose has absolutely nothing to do with unlocking a bootloader, this is a wack joke.

I'm looking for a testers and feedback on the Universal DeBlur-DeBloat Script. The script is designed to remove Blur and bloat on most Android Motorola phones. All that's required is that you have root.
Since April 1st the script has run successfully on the following devices:
Admiral
Atrix
Droid Pro/XPRT
Electrify
Photon
RAZR CDMA
RAZR GSM
I will test it on my wife's phone on the 25th when she gets her upgrade, but I may be able to convince her to do it sooner if there is not much risk....if I make a backup in cwm is there any risk of bricking?
Sent from my ADR6300 using xda premium
The script doesn't touch boot, kernel or recovery so the worst you would need to restore the CWM backup.
That was my feeling, but it has been a very touchy device. I will try it as soon as possible and report. Would you like findings here or via PM? I know you are testing this on multiple devices/threads.

Post in the main thread if you could. The link is in the first post. Thanks!
Tested and working well on my wife's Droid 2. About as painless as possible... No issues and marked improvement right off the bat. Awesome work!

The TWRP image provided failed to flash: "invalid image size for partition recovery".
Any ideas?
EDIT: My bootloader is locked. Running rooted JB 4.1.1 SFR France leak. Device is XT925.
EDIT2: fastboot for linux is "< waiting for device >" like forever...
You can only flash a custom recovery if you have an unlocked bootloader.
Otherwise, you need to use a bootstrapped recovery like Safestrap 3.xx which does not actually flash the recovery but hijacks the the boot process to boot into a custom recovery in different partition after the kernel starts to load.
This type of recovery is what has been used for all locked bootloader Motorola devices and has not yet been released for the HD/M but is very close.

Many users ask me about why the Razr HD wont get LTE 4G in Mexico even flashing the modem and fsg and theres the first things that u need...
1. A data plan.
2. A v6 micro SIM
3. Go to Telcel and ask them to activate the 4g service on your telephone line.
4. If youre already flashed a jb rom be sure to flash the modem and fsg from telcel rom.
If u dont have one of this reqs ur not gonna have 4g!

No. Rooting does nothing more than give you superuser access.
But once you have su access then you will be able to tweak your phone with a custom rom, remove bloatware. Root gives you the ability to dl applications like Titanium Backup and remove (not recommended) or freeze bloatware and unwanted apps, hence making your phone faster. It will give you the ability to install a custom kernel and THAT will give you the ability to overclock your cpu and that literally will make your cpu speed faster theoretically making said phone faster.
No matter what anyone tells you, root in itself does nothing more than give you SuperUser access.

droid X has a TI OMAP3630 - 1000
Uncertain`
Hi:
I'm totally new to this, so i apologize in advance if I'm posting int he wrong place. I've looked everywhere and can't find what I need. I have a factory reset Verizon Droid X 2.3.6 621. My first foray into this stuff was rooting my Kindle Fire first gen. That went really well, so now I'm going to try this. What I want to do is, in no particular order, since I don't know what to do first, is: I've already done the factory reset. Now I need to either flash my droid to cricket or have it done, root it, and install some custom roms. I've noticed the T-mobile one that came out yesterday, I'm downloading it now.
Anyway, is there anyone willing to kind of dumb this down for me? Like a step by step kind of thing. I'm familiar enough with the terminology to understand what a bootloader is, but when I rooted my kindle i just connected it to my pc, and ran some programs. This seems a lot more complicated. I also know that I want it to run as fast as possible, isn;t that overclocking? Heard the term, have absolutely no idea how to do it. I am pretty technology savvfy, and very good at following directions. So any help will be greatly appreciated! And do I come back here to see if I get any responses? Oh, and I know this sounds like such a girl thing to say, but since I am one I'll say it. I like being able to customize my launcher, the pretty stuff works for me. I'm running ICE on my kindle with go launcher ex. I really want to try one of the MIUI roms, but every one I've flashed has gotten me stuck in a boot loop, don't know why. So if anyone knows of a stable MIUI for Kindle fire first gen, I would love to hear about.
Thanks everyone!
DebraK
