"The Galaxy S4 in India will be carried by Airtel and Vodafone with full data supportive packages but for now it will only be offered with 3G data plans because of the lack of 4G LTE support across the whole country. However a Galaxy S4 variant with TDD/FDD LTE Dual Mode will follow later in the year. You may already know that the Galaxy S4 will be powered by either a 1.6GHz Exynos Octa core processor or 1.9GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor and we now also know that the processor in the Galaxy S4 for India will be the Exynos Octa-core variety."

Korean Note to be released on 11-29

To All who are interested (TMO ppl) The South Korean Note is scheduled to be released on 11-29-11. This will be a variant of the Euro version and is scheduled to have penta-band capability (1700/2100) It also is a LTE version capable of 42 mb d/l (theoretically) You can read more here:
http://sammyhub.com/2011/11/24/sk-telecom-to-release-galaxy-note-in-south-korea/
This will be the version that is supposed to be compatible with T-Mobile USA.
No exynos though.

Provided by SK Telecom, wiki says they are CDMA based provider not GSM.

If some people think there is lag on the Note with the 1.4Ghz Exynos they'll really think it lags with the 1.5Ghz Snapdragon.

Which means it uses Qualcomm S3 which means will likely support T-Mobile band. Great.

I doubt it'll be a problem if you root and get rid of the bloats and after developers get rid of Carrier IQ.
Questions is who's selling their 1.4hz to get the new 1.5hz. I know Im really looking at getting this one as soon as it becomes available in the us. EBAY here i come...

Unless your in an LTE market that this Korean Note will work on and you have an Unlimited data plan there's no reason to get it. The 1.5Ghz Snapdragon is slower than the 1.4Ghz Exynos in the current non-LTE Note. It's slower than the 1.2Ghz Exynos in the SGS2 and people have commented on how the AT&T Samsung Galaxy Skyrocket which also uses the 1.5Ghz Snapdragon isn't as snappy as the SGS2.
Hold on you know what we should try first, the modem file. Lol

As far as the snapdragon being slow, remember I have tried both chips and unless you are a gamer it is not that noticeable of an issue especially, when new roms start rolling out.
Has anybody found out what bands this new Galaxy Note from Korea will support I can't find anything.
I heard all bands, 1700 aswell.

Is Korea's Version of SGS3 Bigger than Int'l Version?

i saw a pic of 2 versions of the SGS3. the korean version is square looking, while the international one is rounded. is the korean version bigger than the international version?
I haven't seen photos of it but the Korean version is said to be the best of the S3's with quad core processing AND 2GB of RAM

is there any way of buying the korean version? and would it work on tmo's 4G?
It's only 0.4mm thicker. If both the areas I use my phone in weren't LTE I would've gone for the Korean version and turned off LTE.

Galaxy S4 U.S. with Exynos 5 Octa

Does anyone know if their is a chance that Samsung might release a Exynos 5 Octa chipset in the U.S. later on rather than the Snapdragon 600.
I wish samsung would have waited until they were able to manufacture more Exynos 5 Octa chipset until they released the GS4 but instead they got it out as fast as they could so they can beat out htc one sales
99% that you wont get Exynos...
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Depends on lte. So here in the US, lte is dominant so it will be the SD600 for us
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda app-developers app
Wait until the international version comes to the market. It will be a little expensive but u can order it to US as well. But exynos will be quite futurisitc. Sam mobile get thier hands on the octa variant and the benchmarks are topping 27k in quadrant standards..
Htc one is at 19k, so i dont guess any flagship can compete the s4 atleast in 2013. So they actually saved it for a latter release so that their phone can top twice.

What ??
As far as i know, EU is not getting the octo core.
Yes, the reason is that exynos is not compatible with LTE, theres a whole discussion about it in another thread
But I believe you would still be able to acquire it, just no LTE on any carriers network

Some help before buying?

Hello, at the end of the month I'm playing in buying this phone, I've seen you can get the i9500, I9502, i9505 I'm not sureif there's any more, what's the difference? Cheers
Sent from my GT-N8010 using xda premium
9500 is the exynos 8 core without LTE
9502 is the dual sim version
9505 is the snapdragon SD6000 quad core with LTE

Yup. 9500 doesn't have 4G.
9500 is better than 9505 (if 4G is not a factor); Exynos 8 core, wolfson DAC and (some said) better camera sensor.
However, if 4G matters to you, go with the 9505. The difference is not a lot.

But the processor on the i9505 is 1.9 instead of 1.4? :S also does the i9500 have 2Gb of ram? I rang the guy at the shop and they said the phone had 4G capabilities? :S haha! Thanks for your help guys

1) Different architectures (Krait for the 9505, A15/A7 for the 9500), so the frequency isn't directly convertible to speed. The 9505 is clocked at 1.9GHz, and the 9500 is clocked at 1.6GHz (1.2GHz for the small A7 cores)
2) All Galaxy S4 models have 2GB of RAM.
3) Some telcos call HSPA+ "4G", despite it being more properly called "3.75G". BTW, LTE is also not officially 4G: that would be only for LTE Advanced, with downlink exceeding 1Gbps. If you want the "4G" people are getting excited about now, that would be LTE, supported only by the 9505 among international S4 models.
So the standard one is 1.6ghz? Really was looking forward to 4G, can't find the i9505 on contract though :/ unless anyone knows how to get them? So might end up buying an unlocked i9505
