Is Korea's Version of SGS3 Bigger than Int'l Version? - Galaxy S III General (US Carriers)

i saw a pic of 2 versions of the SGS3. the korean version is square looking, while the international one is rounded. is the korean version bigger than the international version?

I haven't seen photos of it but the Korean version is said to be the best of the S3's with quad core processing AND 2GB of RAM

is there any way of buying the korean version? and would it work on tmo's 4G?

It's only 0.4mm thicker. If both the areas I use my phone in weren't LTE I would've gone for the Korean version and turned off LTE.

Korean Note to be released on 11-29

To All who are interested (TMO ppl) The South Korean Note is scheduled to be released on 11-29-11. This will be a variant of the Euro version and is scheduled to have penta-band capability (1700/2100) It also is a LTE version capable of 42 mb d/l (theoretically) You can read more here:
http://sammyhub.com/2011/11/24/sk-telecom-to-release-galaxy-note-in-south-korea/
This will be the version that is supposed to be compatible with T-Mobile USA.

If some people think there is lag on the Note with the 1.4Ghz Exynos they'll really think it lags with the 1.5Ghz Snapdragon.

Unless your in an LTE market that this Korean Note will work on and you have an Unlimited data plan there's no reason to get it. The 1.5Ghz Snapdragon is slower than the 1.4Ghz Exynos in the current non-LTE Note. It's slower than the 1.2Ghz Exynos in the SGS2 and people have commented on how the AT&T Samsung Galaxy Skyrocket which also uses the 1.5Ghz Snapdragon isn't as snappy as the SGS2.

As far as the snapdragon being slow, remember I have tried both chips and unless you are a gamer it is not that noticeable of an issue especially, when new roms start rolling out.

"With its massive 5.3” screen, LTE capable speeds and Android 2.3, the ultra portable Samsung Galaxy Note easily extends smartphone capabilities."
Lol... what are LTE capable speeds?
1.4 Ghz Exynos processor. It is a N7000.
I believe this is the lte Qualcomm snapdragon version. Same as at&t. Not the n7000.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using XDA App
This isn't a snapdragon in its specs it says 1.4 ghz dual not 1.5 which already been confirmed to be the snapdragon. Reading more into the specs this version of the n7000 will work perfect for those who use T-Mobile/simple mobile 4g/3g speeds. So if you are a T-Mobile costumer and considering getting the sg note att or international this deserve a close look you lose the intergraded home button but keep the 1.4 exynos processor while gaining the 4g speeds
Well seems like the pnly difference is the 4 buttons. Everything else matches with international vetsion.
Telus didnt even listed it as LTE phone so fingers crossed for LTE....

Samsung Galaxy S3 i9305 LTE + 2gb of ram

I can see there are new OTA files (around 30mb) on sammobile.com website.
Inside OTA file i have found many system apps with LTE in name and also i have found info that it has been benchmarked by antutu :
GT-I9305. Number model: GT-I9305 Android Version: 4.1.1 CPU Frequency: 1400MHz Location: GB RAM: 2,584 CPU integer: 4,320 CPU "

Ahh I'm guessing this is the one for T-Mobile's 4G network that's being launched here soon.
Yeah but interesting thing is that the us version doesnt have quad core on LTE
but this one seem to have 2gb of ram and quad core. That would be preety awesome, if 4g network coverage will be good of course..
Time to sell gt-i9300 then I guess, the extra ram will help with so many apps running, and 4G on tmo will be sweet. I think is same with Korean version 4212 quad with LTE

"The Galaxy S4 in India will be carried by Airtel and Vodafone with full data supportive packages but for now it will only be offered with 3G data plans because of the lack of 4G LTE support across the whole country. However a Galaxy S4 variant with TDD/FDD LTE Dual Mode will follow later in the year. You may already know that the Galaxy S4 will be powered by either a 1.6GHz Exynos Octa core processor or 1.9GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor and we now also know that the processor in the Galaxy S4 for India will be the Exynos Octa-core variety."

The Korean models use a different sound chip and lte modem. They have a DMB tuner that only works in Korea. Also some of the default apps are different.
There is less development going on for the Korean models. ROMs, kernels, etc are few.
CPU, RAM, etc. are the same.
Do you live in Korea?
Living in Korea would be the only reason to buy a Korean model.
Sent from my SHV-E300K using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
It depends on model.
If you mean SHV-E300S/K/L, the there is no reason to buy it now. There are no advantages comparing to GT-I9500 except LTE which will work only in Korea.
But if you mean SHV-E330S/K/L model then it worth to think because of faster CPU (SD800). Also this model is fully compatible with GT-I9506 by firmware. You can flash system.img.ext4 from I9506 and get normal international version without any Korean pre-installed apps and won't have SMS problem.
But you always has to care about cellular frequency bands compatibility with your region before buy!
