Hmm... Encountered something interesting yesterday. I help flash one family's Galaxy S to Gingerbread.. And i noticed a different camera module in her unit.. Bigger and rounder module. I don't have pictures.. But it seems that others are starting to take notice.. Video time at 4 seconds.. you can see on the Left is our "Standard" module.. and the On the right is the "New" one.. Interesting?
I thought this video was a joke.. But once i saw the difference in person i felt a need to share.. It seems Samsung are changing the Hardware.

Hi, I have a Note White Ceramic and have a problem with the famous pixelisation...
Now, I have 2.3.6 GB and I can upgrade to 4.0.3 ICS.
This update, do solve the famous pixelisation?. Is it software problem or hardware?.
I think it is of software...because Android is little polished for this phone.

What pixelation problem? I also have a ceramic white Note and never had a problem under GB nor ICS now that I've upgraded.

I have pixelation in the Calculator App, at the top of the calculator .
U could have a faulty screen.
I'm using white too and face no problems.
Suggest u get it fixed at service centre.

Can you post a screen shot of what exactly your trying to say! maybe i also have the same problem,i would lik to compare with yours to get to know.
While wifi is on and active, stock camera app gives white and black vertical lines
Even video gets those lines as well, but 3rd party camera app works fine such as Camera Zoom FX.
Anyone else suffering this bug?

Did you try it while wifi connection was downloading or uploading?
I tried use camera when updating the apps, so wifi was actually active..

I've got the same problem here but only on videos while downloading via WiFi i hope its software issue other than that i have to get replacement .

Hi, I just picked up my Note3 SM-N9005 from Malaysia.
I get vertical lines while taking video in low light and sometimes in normal light condition. This only happens while downloading or uploading via Wifi .
I just would like to know, if this is hardware or software issue?So please try to take a video while downloading or uploading anything via Wifi or just deactivate and activate while shooting.and tell me what happens.

Squiggly vertical lives when recording video.
I just recorded this while uploading another video to YouTube via Wi-Fi. I have a U.S. S-800 N3.
Only happens on the stock camera app. Use a different app.
Also, try clearing the cache and data of the stock app.

I had 3 Notes 3's and they all had this issue. Not good enough, I shouldn't have to use another camera app or clear cache
I have returned and not bothered getting another one

You're definitely not alone with this particular bug. I'm currently in correspondence with Samsung regarding the issues.
If this is not resolved satisfactorily, then I shall be getting a refund.
In fact, they are sending a courier to pick up my unit very soon for testing!

I'm having the same problem with my Note 3.
Factory reset does nothing, and I think it doesn't happen in airplane mode. Downloading a large file with Wifi or 3G does not affect it. Installing some apps like "Moves" seem to make it happen more frequently. Might be CPU related? I'm getting mine replaced tomorrow, as the unit is only one day old. I will report if that one has the same problem now that I know what to look for.

Little update:
I took the Note 3 back to the store and exchanged it to newer one. First this one worked perfectly, but after couple OTA system updates they started to appear again. I'm hopeful this is software related issue.

I had the same issue first time when using camera in low light condition (nordic firmware).
The problem got solved by itself after restarting the device and now two days after still havent seen the lines.
I had seen similar problem on old lcd and tft monitors when they are exposed on high frequency waves. Not sure that there is connection between them and the camera on Note 3.

Thanks man. I disabled Wifi, like was suggested and no problemo, when Wifi is off. No lines, video recording works fine. But after turning Wifi back on, problem is back. By the way I'm using too nordic firmware (I live in Finland). Few days ago I rooted my Note 3 with De la Vega method (works fine, Knox 0 etc), so my first idea was, that this is something to do with that, but this problem existed before I did it. Looked videos, that I made before rooting and these horizontal lines are there. But only in home made videos. And when I'm at home, my Wifi is always turned on. So I'm almost 100 % sure, that this problem is related to Wifi somehow. Did you updated your device already with newest firmware? Maybe fix is in new update? Because of that root I didn't update myself, so I'm using still MJ1 firmware.

Same thing happen to me when I take video whole connected to wifi. I guess there's some wifi interference while taking the video. Don't think that it is a hardware issue.
No issue when taking video on 3g network.

Hi Atsco,
I also live in Finland (Kirkkonummi) and bought my Note 3 from Verkkokauppa/Helsinki. It was with MJ1 firmaware and I update it to MJ2. Currently using the stock one with Nova launcher. The only description of the update was "Improved stability" . I can't confirm that the problem vanished after the update, but as I don't experience it any more there is probability this update to fix this defect.

hehe...I love my phone when is turn-off and I look at it how beautiful it is, stylish, solid, I don't need a car to pickup chicks, I just show my phone! If someone ask me "can I use it" I saying, "No, is fragile" just to don't let know everybody I have touch screen issue...haha..
BTW, yes I am frustrated about few software issue that why I didn't say anything good yet about it, but actually I get that phone only for hardware specification, battery, expandable storage, how good it look like and because I know here on XDA will be some huge development but at the moment we still here waiting for few things, a fix to unlock bootloader without losing the camera and an upgrade to 4.3, 4.4 or custom ROM to solve the touch screen problem and some overheating. After that is a very good phone but like I said, I missing many potentiality from this device just because they don't released yet any update or fix.

Talking about the camera, its good #decent, not superbtastic!! Main camera is 12mp+2mp, while the front camera is 8mp
It takes good to great pictures.. I have attached some pictures..
Pretty decent in medium low light.
Autofocus in video shooting isn't spot on.
The bokeh effect(dual camera) is good, but i dont think we'll use it often.
Performance
Performance is good, will be better in EMUI 5 i hope so..
Battery
The battery has been great so far, mainly due to huawei's excellent software which handles battery management. And there is ultra power saving mode.. I'm getting around 6 hours sot as of now, will have to use for a week or two to get the correct idea.
Call Quality
Call quality has been good so far.. Using BSNL and Jio..
And in Reliance Jio (india) i am facing network signal being lost and other issues, i think its mainly due to Jio's fault, as most of my other friends also has it..
LTE CAT 6 option for faster connectivity
It has VoLTE optionin settings, but still have problems in calling from stock dialer (JIO- India), it'll get fixed through an update i hope so.. I have emailed Huawei about this issue.
Fingerprint
Finger scanner is spot on.
Speaker
Speaker is loud, but its only a single down firing one. And while watching videos we can easily block the speakers accidentally when cupping the phone.
Display
Display is great, quality is good But the viewing angles are not that good, but its not at all noticeable..

Im not using any theme, havent changed the theme, using default one..
But i am using Nova Launcher(paid, i've been a nova user for years now), and installed candycons icon pack to change the icons of just the stock dialer, messaging ( bcos the stock ones are boring) and instagram (i hate the new instagram icon) in the homescreen only..

Me as well, is satisfied with it. Requested it from a friend who bought it from China. I got the 4GB / 64GB variant on gold color.
For it's price, what more could you ask for? I love it's performance, camera, GPS.
the only downfall i can say is it's speaker. it's only coming out from the bottom right side. but no problem with headphones.
you say you're having problem with signal after restarting it. Though i don't have that kind of problem. I did not make any benchmark yet, maybe in the future.
this might be my phone for the next 2years. It will not be outdated.
heard there would be updates to Nougat on this model. hopeful! ^_^
