Got my Hands on HTC One - One (M7) General

so i got my hands on an HTC ONE and im very impressed.
design wise, its feels like a mac book pro, its almost as thick as GS3.
Sense 5.0 just might win me back from my Note 2.
camera was great, and picture and video quality was awesome.
one thing that really took me by surprise was the speakers.
sound quality was awesome and i could hear some bass in phone speakers.
i would love to have this phone out, but i wont buy it because no removeable battery & no expandable memory.

Could you make some sample photos and post them in this thread? Love to see some photos in low and normal light conditions.

Mac book pro feel. Nice way to describe it
Definitely want to get my hands on it now.

I used to be all about I won't get a phone without removable battery and or no SD slot.
However, the more I think about how I use a phone and hoping if something did happen to the battery, your carrier would help you out, then I see no issue in getting this phone. 64G is plenty of space for me, so I am good there.
So getting this phone, but going to test the heck out of it at the store before hand.

i had the evo lte for a bit and i absolutely hated that fact that i could not remove my battery, and thats one of the reasons i dont have a galaxy nexus on my line, i need all of my 64gb of storage, i have about 30 gb of movies and 20 gb of music. im not giving up my note 2 right now for anything.

As for the non removeable battery, I really don't care as long as it isn't malfunctioning. I don't plan on keeping the phone for more than 2-3 years. I don't fast charge my phone either with higher amperage that would kill the batteries capacity and discharge rate.
As for the 64gb internal issue, I assume everyone that is complaining HAS a 64gb microsd that is full? Is 64gb really not enough for you people? I also realise you don't actually get 64 after android is installed, but still... With usb OTG just buy yourself a cable and microsd reader.

With both of my previous phones, after less than a year the battery was substantially less efficient than it was when it was new - held less charge. I definitely wouldn't want to use the same one for 3 years. It's also nice to have the option to replace it with a higher-capacity one.
As for storage, 64GB would be fine, but you can't get the 64GB version in the UK. I regularly fill up my 32GB memory card with downloaded video, and that's standard-definition stuff; on the the One it'll be HD.
I've ordered a One anyway. I'm an addict.

You know, for those still iffy about to expandable storage, remember this. The one has a 64gig variant. Most of the devices out right now with expandable storage can only take a 64gig card maximum anyways. And that's only on a few devices.
I would understand if the one only had a 16gig variant. Even I wouldn't buy it with a 16gig internal storage either. But has a 32 and 64gig variants. So what's the deal?

I have a Desire Z, which came out, I believe, November 2010. I got a larger Mugen battery for it as soon as it was released, maybe two or three months afterwards. I've been using that battery ever since. So that's over two years. It still holds its charge really well, I don't have any complaints.
I hear what you're saying though, it is a concern. The question is, how easy would it be to open up the One and replace the battery? Probably really difficult, which means that, effectively, these devices have a short lifespan.
It is a shame, really.
I don't think it's always either/or when it comes to unibody designs and an easily servicable battery - imagine if you could slide out a "cartridge" from the bottom of the phone, which would contain the battery, SIM card, SD card. The best of all worlds. The only compromise would be the latch to keep it locked.

I open phones to replace parts and etc. evo and evo 3d were easy to open and fix, evo lte was a bit complicated, but this guy is up there with Iphone, when it comes to opening and replacing part, I did not see any openings or areas where screws would be hidden, so replacing the battery is out of the question.
I keep three charged batteries with me all times (I saw Miami heat players leaving their hotel in Boston when they were here for a playoff a couple of years ago, and got to talk and shake hands w lebron and wade but couldn't take pictures because my battery had died) since than I dont buy any phone that does not have a removable battery. Right now I have a 16 gb note 2 with a 64 gb sd card and both are almsot full, I just like having an option to do what I want when I want to. If I didnt want those options I would've went with the iphone!

It'll come apart. The HOX had no obvious openings either but you just need to pry the screen out and you've got access to everything. Being an aluminium body rather than polycarbonate (which could flex to allow you to get the screen out) there will have to be a proper way to pull it apart.

I did not see see any openings for screws or an area where I can pry it apart..... will update once i get the phone

This. I'm getting real tired of the argument about not enough storage. I feel at this point with a 64gb internal storage the point is invalid. Why would anyone have that many movies on a phone. Or music? I enjoy watching clips but a whole 2 hour video on my phone? No thanks. I loaded up all my music onto Google music a long time ago and have never has problems since trying to listen to it. Idk, I have never really had a problem with storage and I use my phones a lot!

Look at the inside of the body along the side - a whole bunch of tiny tabs. My guess is these hold the screen in, pry the plastic side of the phone away from the screen (may need special tool) and the tabs will release the screen. Once screen is out you have access to everything.

a sad subject. who's buying the Nexus 4 on here!?

I, like many of you, was going to stay loyal to the good old Motorola Atrix. Especially since we finally got CM10 that actually worked pretty much flawlessly for most, except the battery life which was completely awful. I haven't seen much going on here, and usually I would care since I love my Atrix and would like to see more going towards the improving of CM10...but how much can we really improve? I'm stuck with the thought that we're lucky and this is as good as we'll get with Atrix. So...the Nexus 4 comes out the 13th and it's only $300. There's a lot of controversy about the no LTE thing, I've never had it so I don't care. The SD card thing is a shame but googles done it since the Nexus S so it was expected. Anyways, I think it's amazing. I've always hated the cheap plastic quality of the Atrix and the horrible adhesive that I blame for the corners of my screen popping up. This has gorilla glass on both sides which I find really cool. It looks like the most solid Android phone out there right now, I don't think any phone meets it's build quality. No removable battery is upsetting, but it's not like they could of done a removable glass back cover. Plus I think it has do do with making the device thinner. Annnyyywayss... I'm getting it. It's the best, most powerful, and its CHEAP. So who else is ditching the Atrix (sad I know) for the Nexus 4?

I'll probably just wait for the SG4, since I actually have LTE in my area.
Have fun with your N4.
Nope...
Not me...
I'm currently running CM7 and will soon flash to Nottach so I can use it with my lapdock... as soon as my Note II shows up next week! :highfive:
At first I thought cool, but I'd prefer to have LTE on my next phone. The real deal killer for me is no SD card. I've got a 32gb sd card + internal storage in my atrix and I'm running low on space. Being stuck at just 16gb is no go for me.
Not me, I'm loyal to my Atrix. Please go crying somewhere else
I'm still up in the air between the optimus G and the nexus 4. I'm leaning towards the G as it has lte and more space. The fact that it's shipping with a locked bootloader is a bit worrisome, but so did our atrix. It's so close, essentially identical, to the nexus so once it's bootloader is unlocked it should stay up to date.
Maybe getting the nexus 4 but just to play around with still sticking to the atrix though

Wow. That's surprising. I would also love LTE, but I can easily live without it honestly. I have wifi at home and any other building... and on the go I really don't care to have super fast speeds... of course there's a difference in pages loading but it's not significant enough for me to really care. I would like the Note 2 also like many of you... but it's really not the top of the line. It's pretty powerful, just not the best. And I'm tired of hard white cheap plastic. I would of thought so many more of you guys would like the N4... you know you can also wait for the SGS4 but it's going to be the same old plastic device as the previous ones. It's the power and the quality that really made me want the N4. Oh, and it's extremely cheep.
Me. HSPA+ 42 is close enough to LTE in my area for the difference to be negligible. LTE is a huge battery hog anyway. Bring on the Nexus 4!

So, are you saying the LGN4 is the best? The best is what works for 'you'. Smaller screen, non-removable battery, and no expansion for SD card does not equel best in my book.. but that's me .. .oh, and no LTE.. my daughter has the SGSIII, doesn't feel cheap to me...
I'm getting the Note 2 for the larger screen and the S Pen features and the other feature the Nexus line lacks, mentioned above. To me those are important, to you it isn't, personal choice... I've had HTC, LG, Samsung, Moto... I go with the company/phone that has the features I want..
Good luck and have fun with your LGN4!
Am I getting one? Yes. Am I getting one now or any time near launch? No. My contract with AT&T still has some time left, so I dont want to lock myself into a GSM network should a PAYG CDMA option appear that looks really appealing. My Atrix will be sticking with me for at least another 5 months.
I could care less about LTE. My home internet is only 6mbs down, so its not like HSPA is any slower than wifi for me.

Engadget rated it pretty poor for audio quality. (Max volume)
LG and HTC are 2 phones that I've had major problems in the past with multiple phones of each.
I wouldn't mind giving the N4 a try and sell it if I don't like it, but the lack of External Micro SD was the "Easy" nail in the coffin for me.
Google must think that AT&T just loves to give unlimited data away for free, and WiFi can only do so much, which is why I need my Ext SD...

5 important reasons SSGS2 is better than Nexus 4

Why a 2 year old device (less because of the X) is far better than a Nexus 4
1. USB "OTG" allows you to use external disks, keyboards and other things. NExus 4 doesn't not have this.
2. the SSGS2 x has a removable battery, as the phone ages you don't have to put up with bad batteries, you can charge your batteries on a charger when in places with power issues like say Cambodia traveling, you can carry a few batteries when you get on a boat or a 5 day hiking trip
so you can hope to depend on your device GPS to save your life.
3. You can use SD cards for storage. Maybe your a DJ an like to carry your music collection on a few SD Cards, this is handy because with an
adaptor you can use these SD card direct to a laptop to transfer files fast or to use them without your hand held. Yes removable storage works great as the SD can work on different machines for different reasons, you can transfer files very fast with removable storage.
4. The SSGS2 x has a plastic backing that makes it at least 50% less likely to break the expensive glass when your drop your phone.
5. The SSGS2X is very easy to repair components, say your camera breaks, no problem, buy a part and fix it yourself, everything is held together like a regular mainboard.
:good:
THis is why i am getting rid of this NExus 4 i got sucked into and looking rationally at a phone as a tool and noticing that it isn't as good as older phones.

Funny, why yes I do drive a 15 year old imported from japan Delica diesel. It is far better than most new 4x4 it has better MPG and it cost me less to buy. You really couldn't compare them to say a ford 4x4 and if you wanted a Diesel. It has every feature that any new car has, and far more,
it is a better car and every Delica owner in Canada knows this.
Good comparison !
But USB OTG is like buying a new car that said it has 4x4 but it is DOESN"T ! LOL
A Nexus 4 is a cheaply made, fragile phone that can't do anything an older Samsung can't do ! But there is plenty of things a samsung can do this can't.
Remember how awesome it was when you figured out you could now plug a full size keyboard, a thumb drive or another phone into a Samsung ? Nexus 4 can't do this !
Nexus may be newer but it isn't better, same reason I drive a Delica, same Reason why a 100 year old Granite house is worth more than a stick framed plastic sided and sheet rocked house, same reason a old used shovel is with 2x a new flimsy one, same reason when you go to buy a vacum you would pay more for a 20 year old used good one than a cheap plastic bells and whistles junk that works for a year and then dies.

I need to plug in a full keyboard, I need removable storage for my lifestyle as a DJ, I need extra battery or I can't have a phone working many times, I need a phone that can withstand some abuse in the outdoors,
... these are far more important than 1 gig extra storage and a better screen.

Yeah, now take your old 4x4 and crash it into a wall at 100 km/h per hour. I bet you are dead inside.
The Nexus isn't cheaply made. The problem is glass, y'know, that material prone to breaking.
Anyways, yes, some old things are good, for example I have a 15 year old water boiler and I wouldn't want any other water boiler.
But phones develop so rapidly that I won't consider old technology. Yeah some things may be better, but Nexus has better screen, fast updates, better SoC and so on.

The phone that people chooses to use is because they want to. If you don't like it, then don't use it, but you shouldn't just bash the phone like that just because you don't like it
I could name 100 of reasons why nexus 4 is better than gsg2x
Here's some:
1. Better processor (also future proof)
2. Bigger and nicer display
3. NEXUS device (pure android, easy rooting, big development, Google supported)
4. LTE equipped
5. Nicer design
6. More ram
7. Overall smoother and faster experience (trust me, I've owned both devices)
Do I need to say more?

If they leave it open then I guess you are correct. You are not trolling.
Thread closed as there's no real point to it. You're not happy with your phone so you replaced it with a different one, it happens all the time but you don't need to post your complaints because if everyone did this everytime they made the wrong decision for them then the forum would be a mess.

Was thinking about getting the htc one. ...

But after reading some of the reviews about the battery life ( and it not being removable), reservations about blink feed, no sd card and the dexterity of the aluminum, the serviceability in case of malfunction and overall UI reservations, I think I will be sticking with the Galaxy note 2 and wait for either the s4 or note 3.
I have so much respect for htc [ had the one x, g2 and sensation) but I had to make the jump to Sammy after all the reports about the amazing note 2 ( I still consider it one of the, if not the, best phone on the market still) I had to make the jump. There is no denying the beauty of the of the htc one, but issues like no sd card ( basically have to plug phone into computer for efficient transfer of files, backup and restore), and no removable battery ( wtf htc? What if the phone freezes? What if I want/need extra battery life?) I just can't justify jumping from a great phone with amazing software in the note 2 to one with so many unfixable issues.
I want nothing more than to see great competition between these two power house Android manufacturers. Competition breeds progress in my eyes. But htc can't come up short on simple issues like serviceability, battery and lack of sd card and expect to compete with Sammy. Craftsmanship can only get you so far (look at the nexus 4, droid razor, DNA etc... already they are a thing of the past). You have to deliver on all fronts and htc, in my opinion, just missed the ball on this one.
Craftsmanship, serviceability, software, hardware, convenience and customer customization are the most important areas I think htc needed to focus on. Although they nailed some of these with flying colors, they dropped the ball hard on others. ..
What do you guys think?

I had the note 2 great idea but it was too big for me, I didnt like the feel of the device or the screen. The battery life has been fantastic for me personally most have said this. I think sense 5 is refined and a lot closer to googles holo than touchwiz will ever be. Blinkfeed isnt an issue just move it off to the side and remove feeds. Getting rid of it altogether would be a nice option. 32GB for me is fine I can use a Nexus 4 with no problem. Don't see anything wrong with the aluminium and serviceability by HTC will also be fine. I dont see why they would make a phone thats impossible for them to repair.
Battery life is definitely an improvement over my One X. I can last a whole day of use, using the One in the same way as the One X.
I've personally never needed more that 32GB, I've always had about 10GB free on the One X. Not fussed about a removable battery as I drive quite a lot and can just top up the charge level in the car, although this is something I haven't needed to do with the HTC One!
It all comes down to personally preference and how you use the phone, which is why I've preferred the HTC's to the plasticy, although very nice Samsungs. Form AND function over function for me...
The choice is all up to you.. If you feel that Samsung is more your cup of tea than stick with Samsung if that's the brand you trust.
I don't think the battery is a huge issue being that I have a battery bank and plan on buying the mophie juice case AT&T have in their video.
And most my files is in the cloud so lack of SD slot doesn't bother me.
And if your phone freeze no matter what, if you hold the power button for 3secs it will reboot the phone.
All flagship phones will become a thing of the past once the latest and greatest comes out. The S3 is in the past just as the Note 2 will be once the Note 3 comes out. Not having a removable battery or sd slot doesn't shorten any device popularity if it was the flagship.
Obviously it's your choice not to get the One but those things you mentioned aren't a problem to me.
I don't mind not being able to take the battery out. I would clearly prefer it if it was removable but it's not enough of an issue to have stopped me getting it.
No SD slot doesn't matter to me either because 32GB will be enough as most of my films and games are on my Nexus 7 anyway. Even if I do run out of storage, I don't mind using online storage anyway.
Blinkfeed isn't as bad as I thought it would be but even if, I decide at any point, I don't want it anymore then I can always use a custom launcher to get rid of it anyway.
Finally, battery life has been really great for me over the last week so I really can't complain. Obviously some people will have had poor battery life but, from what I've seen, most people aren't having that problem.

I thought note 2 lte was best phone until I saw and now own htc one.
Nothing like it, non removable battery is a non issue for most. Sd card would be nice but can live without it but not if it was Samsung phone, basically looks makes up for lack of ext storage.
I'm very impressed with what htc one offers and makes up for what it lacks in. Had it been plastic and amoled I wouldn't buy it.

Although holding the power button does work sometimes, this is not true. If there is a system freeze in android, both hardware and software button will not work, hence the battery pull option.
Also the sd card option is not just a matter of size or having enough memory, its convenience of backing up my files to a place that can be stored and removed regardless of if the phone dies, internet service goes out ( how would you use your cloud service?) Etc..

If by any chance AT&T or any carrier have a melt down (or my Internet provider has one ) I wisely choose to keep some files offline.. The important ones at least
The power button trigger is not coded on the kernel side so even if you flash a broken kernel + a broken ROM to it the force reset function would still work perfectly as it is a hardware implementation.
If what you explain was the case I'm pretty sure the One S would have been flooded by permanent brick devices because of it's confusing different types of processor where users tend to flash s4 ROMs, kernels & radios to the s3 versions and likewise.

Very true everyone about the beauty of the craftsmanship. I too was once a hater of plastic ( I still own the asus tf700, beautiful device) but have to realize it means nothing if the material is weak. For me, having a phone that durable trumps a phone that just looks nice. Part of form factor is durability and serviceability. If I drop my asus or an htc one, I can almost guarentee that it will need to be serviced or have very noticable damage. In the case of the htc one however, a tear down of that magnitude ( just look around the net the tear downs...almost not worth doing) would require you to have to send it into htc, leaving you phoneless or with a replacement.

Fair enough, however extending battery life or even replacing the battery if it dies (which all phone batteries die or diminish eventually) is nearly impossible. Hence the inconvenience.

It's not as good as the Note 2 (what I had previously), but better than the One X. For me, it's manageable. The Note 2 was too big for me, and I'm not a huge fan of the general feel of Sammy phones. Plus, I never used all the bells and whistles, even though I liked the thought of using them. I felt like I had to come up with reasons to use the s-pen or multi window.

There are reports of very good battery life for the one. It comes with a 2yr warranty from what I've seen. So if the battery has issues you can get it replaced. 64gb is more than enough for the vast majority.

With an sd card you'd still have to plug the phone to a pc or at least the card into a card reader. So not sure what you're getting at here. I transfer everything via WiFi, so with a card or not makes no difference. You can also use a Bluetooth dongle if you're WiFi deficient.
With a freeze... again the power button is a hard coded feature to reset the handset. As far as extra battery life see mike1986's blog post:
http://android-revolution-hd.blogspot.com/2013/03/removable-battery-do-we-really-need-it.html?m=1
Lastly, with serviceability. I for one can't believe it can't be done, regardless of what ifixit says. There are a variety of replacement parts available, including the entire back casing. Why would they have them if repair weren't possible.
In the end its what you like or prefer in a device that will help you justify the purchase. If you have a system for your storage and power needs and don't want to change the way you do things then maybe this unit isn't for you. But to say things can't be done is wrong. There are many options available to satisfy all of your perceived negative points. You may actually find some of them better than what you're doing now. The choice is up to you to try something new.

Have been waiting for the s4 for months.. its almost here.. but now HTC is winning me

I happened to stroll into best buy to return something today and got a chance to play around with the ONE, and was honestly blown away. Granted I haven't seen the GS4 in person yet so it's not a fair comparison, but now I'm not so one sided in my opinion. Anyone else feeling this way? I think i need to spend some time with the GS4 and see if that extra .3 inches makes a difference, that is probably going to be the deciding factor.. but using mlb at bat and watching a game.. with those speakers.. unbelievable on the htc one.
I'm in the same boat. Said I would try it for 14 days then return to bestbuy for the S4. Not so sure about that now. I will need to play with the S4 extensively in the store before I make up my mind.

In the past year I have always had the urge to get the One X, One X Plus and now the One. The draw for me has always been their screen, good or bad just being different than Amoled I wanted to try it.
In the end I haven't gotten one yet because of the no sd or removeable battery. I always like to get an extended battery and I use a 64gb card.
Maybe one day I will give in

I am a little disappointed a lot the non removable battery however the lack of an sd card doesn't bother me because I never go over 32gb and you can't even install large apps to the sd card anyway without doing a bunch of scripts or mods and apps don't run as smoothly from sd cards anyway.
I'm pretty sure the issue of screen quality and size will be the deciding factor for me. I've heard the argument of popping colors vs realistic colors but I need to decide which I like better. And coming from the note 2, I may decide that extra 0.3" is important to me.

Trust me, if you get the black mist version, it is legit. Just wait until you finally take it out of the box. I really wonder how anyone could think this phone looks cheap at all. I was the one showing off all the crazy features to the AT&T staff and they kept saying that they didn't know it could do that. Most of them had the new HTC one, but looked amazed at the GS4's features. Either way, just go with what you like. I just can't stand the lack of a menu button, no sd card and a sub par battery life on the One. The ONE does look a tad bit better, and I'm sure the boomsound is crazy, but overall, I'm happy I stuck with the GS4.
Phone + unremovable battery = unacceptable
HTC completely dropped the ball by not designing it with a removable battery..no way a power user is gonna make it through the day.. It's an HD screen with LTE data.. No way it can last.
That's a deal breaker for me

How bout you tell us why you are GOING to buy the s6/edge..

I'm going to buy the edge because it looks bad ass! they got rid of the removable battery, guess I'll get a battery pack if the fast charging doesn't make up for it.. they got rid of the ext sd slot, guess I'll use dropbox or transfer files to my computer that take up to much space.
I'm personally moving from my htc m8.. I'm ready for something new. I love that samsung is pushing the tech with the curved screen. Sucks that it is more expensive but oh well.. Price to pay for new technology. I can't build my own phone.. Ha ha
Let's hear why you all will buy the s6/s6 edge
Because it is the "next" big thing
I'll be buying the Edge because it is finally time to replace my Galaxy Nexus. The Edge looks amazing, and I can't wait to get my hands on those curves.

I'll just get the normal S6, unless I can get my hand on the edge before the release and test it out. Just think it's moreof a gimmick, and nothing that I'll really use.
Only thing that I dislike is not having the removable battery and SD card....but I guess that I'll get used to it.
I see no reasons why not to get it! Yes, you can claim that not having an sd card slot its a big deal, but no for me. I dont keep all my life on my cell phone, thats juts dangerous. If anything is taking space on my phone, I move it to my computer and problem fixed. Love the Edge, and will be getting it for sure, I just hope that they are distributed in sufficient numbers.
if you need more than 128 gb on your phone it might be time to get help for social media addiction
Seriously, I don't see how this is that upsetting to some people. There is a MASSIVE trend right now indicating a shift to cloud-based storage. About five years ago, music was either physically on your phone or on an mp3 player, photos were internal storage and then later copied to a pc, Microsoft and Google now allow files to be edited and stored within the cloud when they couldn't even be viewed on most phones 5 years ago, and we have Google drive/drop box for the myriad of items in between.
It is getting harder and harder to justify having gobs of physical storage on hand.
The S6 and S6 Edge are absolutely gorgeous, in nearly every color. Fast charging and using 14nm and ddr4 ram will greatly reduce the need for a removable battery.
I'll admit, it sucks that samsung has moved to the model of not having an external storage option or a removable battery. What has happened (and trust me, they've researched this more than any of us combined) is that they've realized we don't actually need those things.

Not sure if I'm getting the regular or edge yet. Why would anyone not get this phone? Best display, best cpu, best gpu, fastest NAND. Wolfson DAC for top of the line audio processing. Camera the only thing I'm disappointed on so far. From what I've seen the Note 4 is better. Needs some tweaks. Oh and the phone itself looks nice in design which is the most shocking. SD cards and removable batteries are for 16 year olds that play games nonstop and neckbeard wannabe programming otakus. There is plenty of Chinese phones for you nerds to buy while Samsung is enjoying record breaking sales.

You know why cloud storage doesn't make sense for me? Music. I have about 300gb of it. Music is why I cherish having SD. Its normal for me to download a few albums on any given day and want to listen to them. For me, that means not waiting hours for it to upload tom the cloud. Also, I have a somewhat stingy data plan and would tear through my 3gb month cap in a week of streaming from the cloud. What if I'm at a friends house and on a whim decide I want his DVD rips of some thing or another? No way in hell I'm waiting hours for it to transfer, may as well download it myself.
Also, not having an SD slot sort of bullies me into buying a higher capacity device when I would normally go for the lowest tier and just boost its storage with an SD. Its unfortunate that storage prices don't scale the same way they do on SD cards as they do on an actual phone model...
All that said? I still may end up with an Edge, because that **** is cool as hell looking.

300gb of music? That's wild, man, haha! I think it's safe to say samsung wasn't thinking of you when they designed this phone lol.
I see how being faced with these limitations sucks in your scenario. I don't know what I'd do if I had needs like yours. I've got less than 10gb of music and don't really watch movies or TV on my phone. So for me, as it will be for most users, a 32gb s6 is likely more than enough, though I'll probably get a 64gb to be safe.
One could argue apple has sort of taken the "bully" approach with having to choose a measly 16gb or go up to 64gb. At least samsung offers 32gb for its base model.
Best of luck, if you get the edge, I hope you enjoy it!

Galaxy S6 Edge is my pick. I once confirm the battery life I will replace my LG G2. I like the cleaned UI and the curved screen.
After so many years of my experience with Symbian and Android I am now at a point where care about battery life, good screen colors, premium look and no lag UI. I don't like the idea of phone getting bigger and bigger beyond 5.5". I am really not so confident about LG G4 especially when they say the pixel count is more than 1440P which would result in bad battery and laggy UI just like in the G3.

Cloud isn't the future. Especially outside big, developed markets. Here, 3g has good coverage but the speed sucks, in crowded areas it's even worse. I'll never trust the cloud for privacy, we all know the governments are spying on us, I don't want then spying my files too.
But still, I may get a GS6, because the rumors say the Edge is going to be insanely expensive here.
