Here's a quick step as well from my memory only, I just did this 2 days ago.
0. Ensure the tablet is at least 50% charged and is turned off.
1. Download Samsung USB driver and install on your PC.
2. Download Odin and extract to a folder.
3. Download the correct stock firmware from sammobile.com/firmware OR from samsung-updates.com. I would prefer the latest one. I got the Dec 20 2012 New Zealand for P7510. Extract the MD5 file on the folder where you placed Odin.
4. Run Odin as Administrator, tick on PDA, and choose the firmware file (extension is MD5). Leave the other options as is. Odin will take a minute or so to process the firmware.
5. While tablet still off, plug the USB cable on the samsung connector on the tablet. Don't insert in the PC yet.
6. Turn on the tablet by holding POWER and the VOLUME DOWN button to enter the recovery. Using the VOLUME DOWN button, move the highlight to the "Download Mode" (the right option), and press VOLUME UP button to choose it, and Continue after the warning.
7. Now connect the other end of the USB cable on the PC where Odin is waiting.
8. Click START in Odin and wait for it to finish. The tablet will reboot when done.
9. If for some reason it hangs on SAMSUNG startup, repeat step 6 above but choose the left option (instead of download mode), and do a factory reset, and reboot the tablet after.
10. Done. Pure stock.

Ok,l was able to restore my stock rom,but after that my internal storage became 2gb instead of 16gb,help!

Perhaps you need to tick repartition in Odin? Just a guess though.

No luck restoring/resetting Tab
So I followed all instructions, found the right firmware, got Odin, everything seemed to go well, my tablet indicated that it was downloading the firmware, Odin finished and announced success... but my Tablet screen is black again, it doesn't reboot. Trying to reboot just gets me back to where I was before: Eternally stuck on the Samsung logo, unable to even turn it off for more than a few seconds because it simply turns itself back on and goes to the logo screen.
Trying to do a hard reset leads to the same black screen as the end result of Odin. Plugging in the tablet leads to a battery screen that looks frozen (though it does charge).
Anyone have any idea what's wrong with it?

Thank you for the information

Really Bricked my new Galaxy Tab 2 7 inch. I have tried everything :(

Hello, I so hope someone can help. I just updated my galaxy tab 2 7 p113 to Android 4.0.4 UEBLH2. That was done automatically from samsung. I wanted to then install the newest update to 4.1.1 jellybean. So I downloaded it from this link. http://www.trickytweaks.com/update-...ecli4-4-1-1-jelly-bean-ota-test-firmware.html. I put the official Android 4.1.1 UEBLH2 Firmware on my sdcard then held down my power and up volume and installed it. HOWEVER, it never finished installing. Went all the way to the end. Now I HAVE NO USB CONNECTION and NO BOOT UP. Just black Since I dont have usb connection I cant us oden. CAN ANYBODY PLEASE HELP? I still can put files on my micro disk card and then put sd disk in my tab and use the power button up arrow to install something but I tried installing clockwork mod but that did not work. Iam out of ideas. P.S. My tab IS NOT ROOTED. I tried updating back to and original rom 4.04 I download but that did work. Thank you.
I think you need to enter the download mode volume down+power or recovery mode volume up+power to be able to restore the tab
Try multiple times close the tab even with long pressing power then try the button combinations (press both for multiple seconds) and release to see if you could enter any mode
If you reached download mode try flashing stock firmware for your tab specific model 3113 or 3110 or 3100 via odin (install kies and reboot before)
If you reached recovery (stock) then connect with kies and choose recover firmware from kies options (near the word file in top) you should have active internet connection
You could try charging tab even for some hours before trying button cobinations
If not try to return as not rooted so warranty is goood

Yup, this should get you going again. If you can get into download mode, you should be okay. That's what Odin needs.
Download mode is volume down plus power. Then volume up
Recovery mode is volume up plus power.
I want to thank both the posters on trying to help me. I did hold down the power and download button and it went in to the download mode. HOWEVER, since I can not access usb it did not do anything. Just kept saying downloading. As I mentioned in my first post I CAN ACCESS MY SD DISK FILES by doing the power up button thing. Thats the only way I can get files on. But the DOWNLOADING down arrow just does not do anything. hmmmmmmm will keep plugging away.
I can not understand how you can not access usb, is it a lacking driver so download kies and reboot and try connect again ,also try a different usb ports (esp the rear of case) of your computer
Was usb working before the problem?
do you have cwm or stock recovery?
If cwm so download cm10 or cm9 from www.teamhacksung.org and put in usb card and flash but do a cash delete and dalvik delete afterwards not for boot loop
If stock so try stock firmware from www.samfirmware.com (register their first) and put in sd card and try to flash

I think you're misunderstanding download mode. When you get the device in download mode, connect it then to the computer, with Odin open. The only reason Odin wouldn't recognize it would be a driver issue. In that case, do as the previous poster stated. When you're in download mode, you're strictly flashing through Odin. You aren't going to see the device as a storage device on the computer. The only way your computer can interact with it at this point is Odin. Via Odin, flash the proper p3113 firmware file from sammobile/samfirmware (will be a large 600mb+ file). Once that's done, you should then be back to completely stock and healthy recovery and ROM. Reboot tab and see what happens. If it boots, and you still want to update, then make sure you get the correct ota for the base file you just flashed (that is, if you're trying to upgrade to say Jellybean). If you need more help always ask, but you should be fine. If I lived nearby I'd do it for you.
All I can say is unbelievable help here! Thank you. I am spending hours on this (plus a fortune on this new Tab 2 7). After studying up I do now understand how Odin works and how grabbing the correct firmware will do the job. HOWEVER (maybe others come across this huge roadblock) nothing can be done with out usb interaction. I DID DOWNLOAD KIES and installed it. But no matter what I do can not get any storage device listed or anything going on between tab and computer. Only thing my Tab does is when I plug it in to the computer via usb is go in to charging mode with the charging icon showing. Loading Odin does not show any connection. I have tried different computer USB plugins, 3 different computers (all I have loaded Kies on). Iam sooooooo close. If only while in the POWER BUTTON DOWN ARROW DOWNLOAD MODE and running ODIN on my computer there would be a connection I would be home free and able to flash firmware.

Once you are in download mode, connect your tab to the computer with the usb connection.....you should see a com xx number pop up in Odin in yellow reporting your device is connected thru a communication port. From there you will be able to choose the file you want as a PDA uncheck everything else...reboot...reset timer....whatever. Just make sure you have the correct firmware. There is a Odin flashback to Stock rom in the development section. Make sure it's for your device. Once you start Odin, should take about 4 mins...disconnect and hold the power button down to reboot. That's it....
Hello Everyone Again, I just want to say thank you for all of you who took the time to help. I hopefully will become knowledgeable enough to help people in the forums as I gain knowledge. I finally did find the solution. I did everything that was mentioned. And no matter what what I did with KIES drivers Samsung usb drivers, etc could not get a connection so I could us Odin to keep me back to the orgiginal 800 mb 4.04 original file. My solution was (as mentioned) I deleted all my windows drivers dealing with usb, kies, etc. Then rebooted. I notice even though I did not have a direct usb connection showing up now Odin was showing a connection! So using Odin I got to restore everything and now back to like new. Lesson learned. Hope this helps others that almost fatally brick their tablets. Thanks again for all our help

Is there any way to save my tablet if there is NO firmware out?
Im talking about the SCH I705, I followed the root guide, and it got ****ed up.
Unable to boot into recovery (it goes to Odin "could not do normal boot.")
Tablet seems unresponsive sometimes (to power on/off)
Will boot cycle occasionally

You have to reflash your tablet using ODIN. It's not that hard. Just follow the second method here (you don't need to download android SDK)
copy this in your navigator bar : rootzwiki . com/topic/37272-verizonsch-i705-root-for-all-current-firmware/ ( delete space around the dot)
Plus, your tab will be rooted.
You're welcome.
P.S : This limitation of URL is annoying as hell.

[HOW TO] Restore your tablet to stock + Reroot + Flash New Recovery

Before doing anything, make a backup to your external MicroSD card before continuing. Even if this method is very safe, and has been done several times without problems, we can't predict anything that may happen during the process.
RESTORE YOUR TABLET TO STOCK, APPLY ROOT, THEN FLASH A NEW RECOVERY.
This tutorial applies to both P3110 and P3113. They are the exact same models.
REQUIRED:
Odin ( Take any version you wish. The latest ones should do the trick )
The stock Firmware file. Concerning this part, Google is your friend.
The official Samsung USB Cable that came with your tablet. It is recommended (but optional) to connect your tablet into your computer's built-in USB ports.
The latest Odin-flashable recovery. ( P3113 uses P3110 files )
CF-Auto-Root
Patience
Returning your device to a like-new state.:
1. Boot into Recovery Mode. This can be achieved by holding Volume Up + Power when your device is powered off.
2. Wipe all data. [ Factory Reset ( /data /cache ), System ( /system ) and Internal Data ( /media/storage )
3. Reboot into Download Mode. Usually found on the Advanced Options of most CWM-based recoveries.
It happens that your Tablet cannot boot into Download Mode due to various reasons. There is a battery trick that can be achieved. Do it when you absolutely cannot boot into Download Mode.
1. Remove your tablet's battery.
2. Connect your tablet to your computer
3. Your device should automatically boot into Download Mode.
4. Put back your Battery back into your device.

4. Connect your Tab to your Computer
5. Run Odin as Administrator + Windows XP SP3 Compatibility Mode ( Right-Click > Run as Administrator // Right-Click > Properities > Compatibility > Windows XP Service Pack 3 )
6. Click the "PDA" button, and select the previously-downloaded firmware file.
7. Press Start ( Do not check repartition. It will totally screw up your device. )
8. The installation process will overwrite all data on your device and install the stock firmware.
9. You are done.

Hi, I have PA installed with TWRP installed. I downloaded my firmware from http://samsung-updates.com/. Do I need to flash the stock kernel as well? and stock recovery? Sorry for the noob question.
Maybe I'm just missing it, but I've gone to a couple of firmware sites and I can't find US firmware. Is there anywhere I can get that?
Does anyone have a link that's not to one of these stupid-ass, lame, @#$%ing pay download sites?

I have a similar situation. A previous rooting operation on my Tab2 7 P3113TS was either bad or partial and it appears it will not go into the download mode. power-pgup, power-pgdn, or just power all go to the Samsung splash screen then to a blue VeinDroid rom screen but no further. I tried 3 different version of ODIN and all recognize the device (port goes yellow) but cannot communicate. It stops at the SetupConnection step. Is this thing toast or is there something I'm missing?
WaryLouka said:
If a message is shown, press Volume Up. If you can't enter downloadmode normally, try doing "adb reboot download" in ADB. If you still can't, connect your phone to your computer, REMOVE THE BATTERY, hold Volume Up/Down + Power until DownloadMode is entered and put the battery in again. If your phone doesn't boot or/and battery trick doesn't work, use an USB Jig. If theres no usb jig, while until the battery icon is shown ( charging ) then do "adb reboot download" in ADB.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 SM-T530 Bricked (Probably)

Hello, sorry if in bad place, but im new here.
I have a problem with [Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 SM-T530].
I had a custom rom, but now i flashed stock rom. When it booting i see "Samusng GALAXY TAB4" logo.
I can't find it in the internet because one thing is different. That difference is this, i hear all system sounds, like volume changing, when i touch somewhere, where is a button under this logo, i also hear a touch sound, and voice assistant when i by accident turn on it.
It look like system be turned on, but device showing a mask, wich mask is this Samsung logo.
And sorry for my bad english. ;P
Same for my problem from my SM-T531 before, but I fixed it by flashing the stock ROM made for my tablet.
Fix (I did this on my own without researching. It may work, but try)
I. Find the stock ROM made for your device (SM-T530) then download it. Make sure you select the correct region (Country in which where you bought the device)
II. Download Odin (the latest one)
III. Now open Odin on your PC. (Doesn't matter if you run it with Administrator, but recommended to open it with Admin rights)
IV. Boot your device to Download Mode (Power button+Volume Down+Home button)
V. Connect your device to the PC with the connector that came from the tablet
VI. Odin must detect your tablet
VII. Find and open the zip archive for the Stock ROM then extract the item inside the archive somewhere like your desktop.
VIII. Finished, now browse and find the file you extracted through Odin. (For browsing, click the AP button)
X. WAIT for few minutes!
XI. If it's finished checking the md5 file, check the F. Reset Time and Auto Reboot if not checked yet. Click Start if you're ready.
XII. WAIT for some minutes!!!
XIII. Finished, now it will boot. Remove the cable connector from the PC and wait for minutes
XIV. Now the boot process should show the animated Samsung Logo.
[This process will wipe every single data on your internal storage and /data/data folder so make sure you click the Start button if you really want to clear. I suggest you move the files on your Internal Storage to the computer to be safe. Make backups to be safer.]
Any discrepancies, post to the next reply and I'll fix it :good:

Bootloop, No recovery and No download Mode.

Hello,
I was trying to flash Twrp recovery in my phone using flashify. It said flash successfully and i rebooted. It starting bootlooping. I manually tried by pressing Volume up + Home+Power keys it was still doing bootloop. I tried to goto download mode by pressing Volume Down+ Home+Power keys it still kept bootlooping even USB jig didn't work. I need your valued suggestion about what to do next.
Thanks in Advance.
I have Samsung Galaxy Grand Primr G530H
here is video link youtu.be/B_EtRTH93YE
Just flash your firmware from Odin using a PC, I had a similar problem in my tablet, it didn't had download mode either and that worked, try it.

Turn off your device, keep your finger in the button until the device is off or pull off the battery, connect it to the PC and flash your firmware through Odin, at that moment I used the 3.70 i think but you can use the latest version it's fine, that should install download mode and the whole firmware if that doesn't work I'm afraid I don't know how else I can help, that's what I did and it worked

You are right I did it the same way and it worked for me too. I actually was thinking the phone was quite dead bur or wasn't, I just flashed the recovery firmware 4.4.4 Russian and if you ask me food the step by step procedure it was just like this:
1. I started the Odin 3.07 and connected my device to see is it was detected or not, my surprise the Odin catch it, and shown added and the port number was 18.
2. I just pulled out the USB cable from my laptop and loaded the BL file only to just flash the bootloader file and see what would happen, I was trying it bcz I was totally disappointed with the device i.e. Grand Prime 530H Duos. I also noticed that my device was not stable even with that black screen it used to restart after almost five minutes in that case. And I knew that in 5 minute I will just be able to flash BL file. The BL file was loaded on the Odin now and I inserted the USB cable again while keeping the vol down button pressed to my laptop when the Odin again found and connected with my device, I didnot take any more time to flash BL file.
3. As soon as i had not flashed all the SW therefore, my device didn't boot properly, and I thought it didn't work but when my device was connected to the computer I just listened the startup tone of the Android 4.4.4. From that moment I knew my device was not dead now so i had to select all four files from the recovery firmware of 4.4.4 and connect the device to odin even there was no sign of download mode, as soon i clicked the Start button i saw many things in the Odin which were good enough to see. after the firmware flashed the device got started.

Hello guys! Could you please help me with the same issue? The difference is that Odin doesn't recognize when I plug in my phone! I don't know what else to do. It's a G530H.
Thank you very much!

Is your USB cable original is it working on other devices? And are you using a USB 2.0 port, that is very much necessary, for Odin and some other hardware/software environment applications. And you also must have Samsung USB drivers installed in your PC, you can also try all this process on some other PCs

Hello!
Yes, that USB works with other phones. And even not being the original one, it was working to transfer files before this issue...
It is a USB 2.0 port, and even when I go to "Device Manage" on Windows, it doesn't show any port with an unknown device or something like that...
Thanks!

Fix screen mirroring after root - Android 5.1.1 - Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) P605 LTE

This is for Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) LTE P605 (lt03ltexx)
Could work for rooted P600, p601, and many other Samsung devices with 5.1.1
If this break your phone or neck I'm not responsible. You do it on your own risk. It worked for me.
* If you don't need root, you don't have to do this.
1. Root your device first (with stock ROM)
2. Try Screen Mirroring. (*If screen mirroring worked fine you don't need to do anything.)
3. If screen mirroring failed
a. Use a root explorer.
b. take a backup copy of your build.prop file from \system directory
c. Edit the file and at the end of the file add wlan.wfd.hdcp=disable
d. Save the file
e. Restart the device
Now it should work fine.
There are lots of articles to help you how to root and how to flash stock ROM.
Thanks. Fixed my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) and Samsung Galaxy S5.
To anybody adding this fix don't overlook line d. Save the file and restart.
You are welcome

I posted this in this thread where I originally saw your advice: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...-hardware-problem-t2982049/page4#post72866194
But I figured I'd come to your thread too.
So I have a rooted Samsung Galaxy tab S 10, I did this process once and it did not work so I replaced the edited build.prop file with the original I saved. Afterwards I decided to give it another try just in case, this time I cut and pasted wlan.wfd.hdcp=disable, saved, checked it was there, restarted and now my device will not restart. All it will do is display SAMSUNG GALXY TAB S POWERED BY ANDROID and vibrate in a pattern, three quick pulses then one pulse, pause, repeat. I can hard restart it but it only goes to the exact same screen. I can't even shut it down, only restart.
So this is a huge bummer. Is this fixable?
I think something went wrong somewhere. Now on my way to work. I'll help you once I'm back. I think it can be fixed.

Thank you, I'm also about to be heading out for a while but I'd love to give anything a try in the morning.
I have since found that I can boot it into Odin mode, but not Recovery mode. I don't know anything about Odin mode, but the only thing I've been able to do from there is get it back to the boot screen I mentioned above. Either way still can't shut it down.
fix your tablet first

now you can try
root with CF-Auto-Root
use xplor app you find the file build.prop file from \system directory
look for wlan.wfd.hdcp=disable or wlan.wfd.hdcp=enable
if wlan.wfd.hdcp=enable make it wlan.wfd.hdcp=disable
otherwise add wlan.wfd.hdcp=disable at the end of the file
don't forget backup your files and do a factory reset before trying this
Many thanks!!!
It works for my samsung s5 and also Tab A 2016.
But how about if the cell phone/tablet is not rooted? I guess not everyone want to loss warranty.
