Amazing Gpu performance -underclocked cpu benchmarks

Our phones cannot display more then ~56 fps due to vsync
Test settings: JM2, samset 1.8, mimocans ext4 fix + dalvik cache sent to nand, 8gb class 6 sd, all benchmarks were only run once.
Neocore:
200mhz : 36.8 fps
400mhz : 56 fps
800mhz : 56 fps
1000mhz : 56 fps
Yes, with our cpu reduced by 80% we still beat the nexus one and other froyo omapp/snapdragon cpu's in neocore.
Quadrant: (world & moon, the others are more difficult to test)
200mhz : 40fps : 410 Quadrant
400mhz : 56fps : 789 Quadrant
800mhz : 56fps : 1532 Quadrant
1000mhz: 56fps: 1762 Quadrant
Fps2d is 56 fps at all cpu settings.
-IMPORTANT-
Due to the nature of vsync we have no idea what fps we could be getting, Generally when you scale down cpu performance the bandwidth available for the gpu decreases dramatically as the processor cannot handle the new frames to keep up with the gpu. What this is showing us is that in neocore at 1000mhz we only require 20% of the cpu to get 36.8 fps and somewhere around 300mhz to get to the 56fps vsync cap. For all i know the gpu might only be able to output 70 fps without vsync at 1,000mhz, the question is by how much does reducing the cpu speed effect the available bandwidth to the gpu
This shows us:
1. Our gpu is largely held back by the frame-limit, the cpu also has an impact on the gpu performance.
2. We need better benchmarks to test only 3d performance, many of the 3d tests in quadrant are either heavy on the cpu, or are 2d tests. And neocore is simply not taxing enough on our gpu.
3. Need to find a way to remove vsync
4. Its a powerful beast! looking forward to froyo
Look foward to GLbenchmark 2.0
Even currently in 1.1 it's showing some impressive results, even though it's not supported very well on latest-gen gpu's (SGX530/535/540 mostly)
*off topic*
Would you please link / pm me to the Sd card you are using?
Its a Samsung 8gb class 6
would underclocking the cpu to 600mhz for example help increase battery performance, or it it mostly the screen that drains the battery?
its mostly the screen
But really really great research there !
Its nice to know.. Hehe..
The next thing i would like too see is quadrant tests where the SGS has undergone the Lagfix and then with different SD cards

please post your benchmark result

I don't know are these numbers good for Tegra 2 dual-core CPU.
1st run: 2402
2nd run: 2542
3rd run: 2517
All I know is it runs smooth with Angry Birds (no hiccup at all!).

I'm adding results in my benchmark-matrix from russian biggest forum 4pda
and can tell that 2400+ is great result.
Viewsonic G Tablet at old firmware showed 1855 (it has Tegra2 too)
MyTouch 4G got 1916 in my tests (not overclocked)

I'm getting between 2400 & 2500 with Quadrant which I don't think has been optimized for the tegra2 yet, as Quadrant only reports one core at this time.
Got these results while running Dexter's 1.0c & 1.1. The updates have not improved the speed.
2400-2550 consistently. This hasn't changed with either firmware update or with the 1.1 ROM.
As a reference, my 1250Mhz overclocked original Droid scores around 1400-1500.

Hey all, really simple here, just curious as to what settings people have when undervolting their cpu's. Thanks in advance.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (N7100) ROM performance roundup.

Hello guys.
After few days flashing and testing, here's a short performance report for few ROM benchmarks on my Samsung Galaxy Note 2. For performance testing is used Quadrant Standard Benchmark, as it's pretty quick. Results are sorted by overall performance, descending.
All tests were performed with no intensive/working background processes. Min - max values are several tests stock, if overclocking is not specified.

If you have just flashed another ROM and wish to share results, let's add it to the list.

This is to show you how bloated Stock DN4 is. I can't imagine those ROMs at the bottom of the list.
Interesting comparison and it has some entertainment value as well. Has there ever been an Android ROM release thread where people don't swear that it's simultaneously the fastest, smoothest and most stable ROM evaaaaaaaaar????? I've used some truly flaky, laggy, crashing, broken ROMs on various devices and in every case there were people evangelising that this was the real experience.....lol. But benchmark apps don't succumb to bias and the numbers make for great comparisons. Of course what is missing is a comparison with stock Samsung TW on the same hardware. Currently I'm running a Note I (GT-N7000) but my newly purchased (but second hand) Note II (GT-N7105) is due for delivery tomorrow. I'll get it set up totally default with google account signed in and updated to whatever official version is newest and then install Quadrant and post the results for a comparison.
I ran Quadrant on my Note GT-N7105. I know it's not identical hardware but anyway...
This is stock rom, rooted, powersave disabled, device docked and charging. No overclocking or any other excitement.
With TouchWiz launcher:
OVERALL: 11221

OVERALL: 11553
CPU: 40165
MEM: 4380
I/O: 9851
2D: 962
3D: 2405
I ran the benchmarks a few times (after killing all apps and clearing RAM) and the results do vary, but not by a huge amount. The results above are just the last ones I did. Some others had better figures for certain benchmarks, worse for others, but nothing interesting or notable.
The one thing that strikes me is how bad 2D performance is in ROMs compared to stock Samsung firmwares. I also noticed this (but without any measurements or data) on my Note I (GT-N7000) where Firefox and Chrome scroll really smoothly in Samsung firmware but were always jerky and stuttery in every Rom I tried, both KitKat and LP.

To be fair, you can compare my DN4 results with OP, there's a big difference in numbers between "Stock" DN4 and my personal installation after I took the time to debloat it. Sometimes it's not simply about people evangelising a ROM.

And yes, T-Mo sucks here lol.
How did u get over 47k in antutu?
Geekbench isn't really a good source at the moment. It is limited to 32-bit, so it can't utilize the full potential of the SoC.
They need to release a 64-bit compliant version to really be able to run the tests correctly.

I have not BM mine yet but based on those numbers.... WOW!!!!
I am also considering the price of the phone vs the scores when I say that.
The S6 comes in at nearly 68k on Antutu but the 48k score still puts this phone in the current top 10.
