Samsung officially announced the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1
Samsung have officially announced The "Galaxy Tab 2 10.1" yesterday in the Mobile World congress. With the following specifications:
Processor: GHz Dual-Core Processor
Display: 10.1” WXGA(1280x800) PLS TFT
Operating System: Android 4.0(Ice Cream Sandwich)
Camera: Main(Rear): 3 Megapixel Front: VGA Camera
Memory: 16/32GB User memory ＋ 1GB (RAM), micro SD (up to 32GB)
Dimension: 256.6 x 175.3 x 9.7 mm , 588g
Battery: Standard battery, Li-ion 7,000mAh
From the product specification, we can see that is very similar to it old edition galaxy tab10.1.Unfortunayley the processor staid the same, opposite to what most expected that it will be quad core. When we go to the display, dimension, camera, and internal memory, they all same as the last edition (Galaxy Tab 10.1). One of the main new things here is the addition of a micro SD card with a capacity up to 32 GB witch lacked in the old edition. Also the battery strength increased 200mAh only!
To me and to most developers, this new Tab didn't reach our expectation at all. Especially when there are strong completions of Samsung with other companies especial with apple. And apple is expected to release a new ipad next month. And while all android tablets have the same operation system, the Asus Transformer Prime tablet that was released last month, has a bitter performance than this tab a lot.

What I would suggest is :-
Samsung Galaxy S Duos S7562
Pros:
The overall phone as a good finish.
Display is great
Camera is quite decent.
Cons:
No scope for future Android updates
Samsung Galaxy Young S6310
Pros:
Android 4.4 update will be available in future.
768MB Ram
Cons:
Poor Display
Camera not so good
Micromax Canvas 2
Pros:
Dual Core Processor
Colours are great
Overall Development for this phone is quite decent
Cons:
Low Ram i.e.. 512MB
No scope for future updates
If opting for Windows Phone
Nokia Lumia 520
Pros:
Display is better than the phones mentioned above
Dual Core Krait processor
Camera is really good
Amber update is available for this phone
Cons:
No development
Little flimsy
No scope for future updates
What I would suggest is you to save more money , enough for you to buy atleast Sony Xperia M or Micromax Canvas HD

Well the budget that you have in your hand ain't good. As in, if you want a device that is future proof , then you've got to extend the budget. That is why I had suggested that you should start saving enough for atleast a Xperia M which is powered by Qualcomm Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus with Adreno 305 and has 1GB of Ram. Performance wise , it is quite good and it'll not burn a hole is your pocket. Alternatively you could buy one of the Micromax or Xolo phone , but the thing is that their after sales services are really bad. I'm sure that your Galaxy Y might be in good condition. Use it for while until you save enough.

That's true but there still is a small amount of risk.
My friend bought a canvas nitro and found out that it was missing a few sensors even though they were displayed on the box. He got it replaced with great difficulty.

Mainly the 2gigs of LPDDR3 and the ARMv8 MSM8939 looks promising. If anyone here gets the device, post some camera samples.

The phone looks decent in the video reviews for its price. But flagship killer is not the apt word, since it cannot compete with the flagships.
Idk what you really mean about low range flagships.... coz flagships are always high range
Remember, this is just a rebranded coolpad f2 4g clone, so i dont expect it to be good qualitywise. I am looking forward to reviews after long term use

Agreed. OP should really change the title to something like Is YU Yureka the new affordable King of midrange smartphones? or, if you really wanna go overboard Is YU Yureka the newest and most affordable Nexus for the masses?
The company really is called YU not Micromax (although started by Micromax founder) and, it is a midrange smartphone with a budget range price.
This is Micromax straight up copying device specs and marketing strategy from Google/Motorola (Moto G/E) and OPPO/OnePlus (One) and Xiaomi (Redmi Note) etc. If they execute properly, this could repeat the Moto G's success. They really should have gone with a 4.5"-4.7" screen (ok, maybe 5" max because India is their main market), bigger battery and, paid deep attention to getting the camera right.

At Rs.15k, it will be closer to the OnePlus One's price and that is a better smartphone. It will also have to fight with devices like the Xiaomi Redmi Note and the Moto G (which has good quality and support in it's favour but lesser specs). Also last year's Moto X was going for Rs.17k....
Nope. Much safer to jump below Rs.10k for now... :angel:

Help for Micromax Canvas Knight?

Micromax Canvas Knight having mt6592 chipset, Octa core 2ghz processor, 2 gb ram and 32 gb of internal memory is still out of the list.
No developer is showing interest in it.i wonder why?
please do something about it.
we all love cm and slimroms and we do have a right to have one for this device.
hope someone could do something.
