Winmo7 with HTC sense over the top to make it look half decent again lol
looks like microsoft are trying to make the today screen look like a bog standard phone so as not to scare away people who have never used windows mobile previously.
if that home screen isnt customisable then ill eat my hat.

Over at one of the biggest gadget site's engagdet.com people are very positive about this! I come to XDA, then I see this. Why are you so negative??
IMO, this at least shows they are going a NEW way with WM7. I am really really excited about this.. just 2,5 hours left!

Yeah tell me about man, sometimes I find people here at XDA nag alot... You havent even see it in action yet. Wait until we see whats under that main ui...
not realy surprising as engadget are a bit more geared towards out the box use as opposed to xdev's hands on approach...

Yeah but I think its better first to know whats past the home screen, what functions and services it offers etc. etc. All we got here really is a big picture on a wall... and people already giving it the finger...
Engadget havent lifted it from the box yet nor have any xdevs been on the aproach...

Nice. The lack of a gazilion tiny task-specific buttons indicates that WM 7 is gonna have a real touch-based interface. I like that.

yup..same here....
far too many rumours and photoshopped stuff going around these days. easy to get excited and think that a lot of stuff is coming, only to find out it was a fake or was removed from the final released version.
As long as it's configurable (i.e.: I can get rid of it!), the interface doesn't bother me.

Loved the UI! Exactly what I was expecting! Its the User Experience that matters rather than the User Interface! And MS has done that this time!
Around half and hr to go now! Lets wait and watch!

Dammit!! Where were you yesterday? Actually I still have plans to cut out around the side of Tux and keep the little flappers or arms on the side. But I haven't gotten around to it cause just what I have there took enough time already.

It is kind of sad because for some it will probably take focus away from how awesome this phone actually is. And it's also kind of mind blowing that they don't spend the resources needed to make the presentation perfect. There must be some management issues.

It does look very much like that theme. I don't think it looks like old TouchWiz though. Galaxy S3 and S5 I had I remember being very green on blue background.

I realize it's the first. I didn't like O either. Thought Nougat was better. People just can't not like something. If the end product is anything close to this, it sucks in my opinion. And that's all it is my opinion. What I don't like you might love. And I remember the first preview of O. It didn't change much. Actually the preview was better. had more options.

I wish more people would think like you! Trying to make one centralized theme that fits everyone is not going to happen. Some like colorful, some like dark, some like rounded, some like squared. Everything is all about choice, personal preference, and opinion. Same goes for smartphones... trying to make a device that has the look, feel, and features that will appeal to everyone is next to impossible. There will always be someone who disagrees, doesn't like, or prefers something else. It's human nature, and part of what makes us an individual. :good:
