Tried Firefox 17 & 18 Beta, both as you say crash after a few seconds, not really bothered though as I use Dolphin (v8.5.1) with Flash support, works great, I have Chrome as well but don't use it as I prefer Dolphin's settings etc.

Bug 791419 - Firefox for Android crashes on start on Kindle Fire HD 7"
Thank you for the feedback. Looks like Bugzilla has a report on the bug:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=791419
Bug 791419 - Firefox for Android crashes on start on Kindle Fire HD 7": Couldn't get a handle to libmozsqlite3.so
Since Mozilla is aware of the Bug we may be able to see the Firefox on the Kindle Fire HD 7" at some point.

Chrome Bata
I did find Google Chrome and have provided a download link for your testing: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/54456659/chrome.apk. Looks like it will not support the Flash Player plugin I just installed. Also, it also has the same behavior as my desktop version of Chrome. Crashes under heavy load. Although it is a fast browser.

Firefox nightly works just fine.

Dolphin Browser stopped working, can't connect

On Tiamat 2.1.0. I was happily using Dolphin Browser HD 6.2.0 until around 2 days ago, when it suddenly stopped connecting. It wouldn't connect to any domain anymore (stock browser works just fine).
So I uninstalled it with the intention of downloading + reinstalling it from the market. Guess what, it's not even showing up in the market! I guess either the makers of Dolphin or Google are hiding it for Honeycomb.
What I did find was Dolphin Mini though, for some reason, so I decided to give it a shot instead. Well, it has the ssame problem Dolphin HD had: it won't connect at all.
I'm stumped at this mess. I tried to find a Dolphin HD apk but didn't want to download just any mysterious file from anywhere. But above all, I have no idea why Dolphin (both HD and Mini) would stop working all of a sudden.
The only change I can remember doing before it stopped working was to update a few apps, including the Opera browser. I don't see how that would affect Dolphin though.
Any ideas, anyone?

Hulu on Kindle Fire

I wanted Hulu on my kindle fire without paying for hulu plus so I found a hacked apk from the xoom and thought I would share the wealth. This apk makes it so that while browsing your Kindle looks like a windows computer and will allow access to flash apps that normally are only available to a PC. Works like a charm! Hulu looks really good and no sync issues. I haven't tried youtube yet, but I assume it works the same. I searched hacked flash apk in google and clicked a link to the xoom forums. I loaded the apk on my kindle and installed it.
link? i don't have issues with youtube, just hulu.
nvm, hulu works with dolphin browser, just flash didn't work with the firefox browser.
How did you get Hulu and Dolphin browser to work? I have a rooted device, installed Dolphin Browser form android market. Still didn't work.

When you set up dolphin browser for the first time it gives you an option to run your browser as android, load, mobile, or desktop. Select desktop and you should be good to go. You can also change this from the settings menu in dolphin after you installed it. I would post slink but since I'm new to xda I can't post links until I have 10 posts. I'm close now...haha. ill post a link as soon as I can. Sorry.
Well, Kindle Fire play Youtube videos fine, I have had no problem especially if you side load the youtube app, though I also got a free YouTube download from aneesoft to download videos, but to be frankly, the kindle play great and no need to do other works.
Hmm, Im curious how did you to watch Hulu plus smoothly on it??
tipzilla-
1st- If you reply to this it will be your 10th message
2nd- I did select desktop but it still would not play.

Well, Hulu page loaded fine for me but I didn't try to play a video until now and I get the "platform not supported" when I try to play a video, so I guess it doesn't work after all.
On CM9 I can get the desktop version to load in chrome without android warning, but the video doesn't play. I installed flash, so thats not the problem. Wonder if its the hardware excel thats causing probs.
YouTube website works fine...
i just went to Hulu web site and KF is listed under supported devices..
I love these posts from new members that claim some app or site works on this device or that device, yet they don't post the link. Then they disappear from the thread.
I'm going to go start a new thread now, about how I found a hacked Netflix app that lets you watch anything without paying. Just don't hold your breath for a link.
It's the licensing
The way I understand it Hulu has license conflicts with some shows that preclude streaming them to a mobile device be it through their app or to an android or IOS based browser.
Those shows appear as "web only" in the Hulu+ favorites listing in the app.
True. Even on a ROKU, we get that message. The work around we use is Playon on our desktop computer. Hulu is accessed by the PC, so everything plays, then Playon shows up on the ROKU and streams Hulu (the regular free version of Hulu).
There is also a Playon app for Android, so you can watch Hulu on the Fire or any Android device. But no direct access to Hulu from KF afaik.

Ok, this I don't think will work on cm9, it may you'll have to try and report if it does. They were having an issue with flash in browser. So on miui, cm7, or maybe even rooted stock kindle. Here is the link
http://www.xoomforums.com/forum/motorola-xoom-development/9658-flash-latest-hulu-hacked-flash.html
1. Uninstall your current flash
2. Reboot
3. go to the link and in the first post and download the hulified v. 11.1... apk and install it.
4. Get dolphin browser and you should be good to go.
I forgot the issue about uninstalling and then doing a fresh install. There may also arise the issue of the flash apk being a system app, in that case you will need to use titanium backup to remove it before rebooting and installing the hacked apk.
Good luck guys!

PlayOn is $5 a month, but if you pay a full year in advance ($40), it works out to something like $3.30 a month. Cheaper than Hulu Plus.
Plus, you get several other "channels". Of course, your computer has to be running while your streaming. I'm just mentioning it as another option.

Chrome Beat / Chrome 2 Phone Question

Chrome BETA browser already had the "chrome 2 phone" feature built in, you have to login from your browser on your PC, and login on the android browser, and they should be connected, it does sometimes take a little bit of time for them to sync.
Yeah, I did log in to both. I can even view the tabs on my Comp on my Phone but C2P is not working yet. I will give it some time first. Thanks!
After waiting a while, it still refuses to work. So I just went ahead and downloaded Chrome to Phone from Market. Now it works fine. I think this has to be installed.
Edit: it's not working again. Either the program is buggy or the rom is buggy, im using slim. I am trying to get this to work, will post solution if i find it.
I got it...
I needed to remove Chrome to Phone from my Chrome PC Browser and install Chrome to Mobile.
You guys need Chrome to Mobile.
Fixed.

[HOW TO] Install Flash Player 11.1.115.16 4.0+ Support Noob (Simple) Version

This tutorial has been developed for the user wanting native Flash Support when browsing the web. We have tested the Flash Player through a number of sites and have seen flawless performance.
The method used here also allows any application to use the built in Flash Player, like BBC Player which requires Flash Player to run properly. Remember, Android is phasing out Flash Player, so this tutorial will become more important as we grow towards updated Android OS Platforms. We currently use Adobe Flash Player 11.1.115.16 4.0+
Why use Flash Player on the Kindle? You are able to obtain Free Content from these providers:
Top 5 free movie players for the Kindle:
1. Hulu (NOT Plus)
2. Crackle Player
3. BBC iPlayer
4. SkyGo

Flash Player Step 2: Using Google Play download and install Dolphin Browser
Flash Player Step 3: Using Google Play download and install Opera Browser
Flash Player Step 3.1: Using Silk Browser download and install Boat Browser
Flash Player Step 4: Using Root Explorer or similar application, install /sdcard/download/Adobe_Flash_Player_11.1.115.16_4.0+.apk
Flash Player Step 5: Using Google Play download and install SWF Player
Flash Player Step 6: Now launch either Dolphin or Opera Web Browser, go to any Flash Site. At some point you will be asked which browser to use by default. Play with them both, I like both and have had a hard time deciding which one is better. So far Dolphin appears to open just about any site whereas Opera seems to be a little more picky on the content.
Note: The Amazon Silk Web Browser loaded as the default browser on the Kindle 7" HD does not support Flash content nor will it work with this new plugin. This is the reason for installing Opera and Dolphin.

Redwolf379,
I had time to test Boat Browser today. I think I like it better than Dolphin. It is a very snappy and fast browser, even
with complex content sites or Flash sites. Anyways, I am impressed and thank you for the recommendation. The
Boat Browser footprint is small, here is the comparison:
1. Google Chrome 19.3 MB
2. Boat Browser 2.1 MB
3. Mozilla Nightly 25.97 MB
4. Opera 8.49
5. Dolphin 4.78 MB
So, the above answers why each one accelerates in it's own area. Mozilla is loaded with features but look at the
Footprint, the cost is speed, Mozilla Nightly is by far the slowest of the bunch. Both Dolphin and Boat Browser
have a large array of options, so in the end you can get all the features of Mozilla with the state of the art
performance.
Great to hear! I stumbled across it when I was looking for something to compare Dolphin to some time ago and really liked it. I have both Boat and Dolphin installed but Boat has been my daily driver browser for a while now.

mindmajick,
That is one I forget to use, yet it is quite universal and supports Flash. I still find Boat Browser to be a bit faster than the rest, even with Flash Player active. The funny part? I disable Flash when I use this site since the scripts are massive with lots of Ad pointers active. Flash disabled on this site increases the performance 10 fold.
Thank you mindmajick for taking the time to post your comments:good:.

KitKat and Adobe Flashplayer - Can anyone reported success?

Is there anyone who gets flash running under 4.4. The things and hints i've gotten by searching Google doesn't work. I've also tried the forums search without success. Please don't kill me if i've overlooked anything.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
ART
it has to do with art, not with 4.4 (i think)
as the rest of apps that does not work with art, the only thing we can do is wait for a next mini update to kitkat to get ART fixed.
try if it does work with dalvik (if it does not, then adobe flash player is not compatible with 4.4 simply because the package file cant run in kit kat.)
i will look out the flash apk later now i am busy
It's not dependent on ART since I'm still on dalvik as runtime environment. I've two or three web pages which use embedded flash videos. And one of them is a daily news site. So I'm probably one of the few who miss this support.

Good point - forgot their implementation. So I checked it out - I uninstalled the plugin and Flash did still work with Puffin so it is the server side.

Does work on my nexus 7 - should work on the moto, as well.
Flash plugin support ended with ICS. Worked for Jelly Bean versions, but it stopped working with KitKat some reason, on dalvik and art. Server sided flash browsers will still work, like Puffin and Photon.
Without anymore mobile flash plugins, it most likely will no longer work. Shame because I like chrome and aosp browser.
