I'm an official dev from the LiquidSmooth Team and I am looking to work on the Razr I along with mattmanwrx. One problem is that we are little broke, and we only have enough for one device.
We're turning to the community for help to acquire a device to be able to dev with. Our goal would to raise enough money to purchase a Razr I to develop on. It will be much easier to have 2 or more devs working on porting the device completely. I'd like to have a goal of a device within the next month or so. This "seems" feasible, although time will tell.
If you'd like to help, please donate accordingly. Click on the Donate to me button here on XDA.
Beyond that, look forward to helping the community get this device supported. Look forward to the help from you guys!

When we hit the $470 I personally will donate the rest, as well as buying my device too (as long as I'm still in a job, business is bad atm )

hi, its really nice to see someone willing to develop like you guys, in one hand i feel sad , since my pc got fried, i first need get it up and running before I even think about giving donations of any kind (still $500 short to replace mobo and cpu) , and in the other hand kinda miss someone saying "sure i'll donate to you cause" but i figure that they will do it without posting, anyway ty you guys for the initiative, gues we're going to wait till you get another phone to develop on
sent from the gray stuff inside muy skull

Did a little donation, hope it will help a little.
Cannot give a lot today, i'm still paying my Razr i
But in the futur, is the project is on the way, I'll send a few more

Love to see a Liquid Rom and encourage you guys to get a RAZR i. Of course it won't be of any use unless we get a working x86 built recovery to use. Once that's ready we can focus on roms

iam asking cause latest miui v4 is much easier in port to other device.
it can base on stock rom.
But razr i is x86 device. so i wonder if it has affect of porting miui.
as user of miui which want change phone to razr i, will be very happy hear from developers likes you, "we are interested "
naturally in such case i will donate you with pleasure
P.S. i think other users of miui also

I'm new to team liquid, but I'm sure Hiemanshu will agree that as soon as a recovery is on, aosp based ROMs will be made... as long as the device has an aosp rom, u should be able to port over miui

Most of the part that will change is mostly frameworks etc and that is java and dalvik and doesn't matter what arch it runs on. It should be possible. we can also contact miui devs and see if they will add support for this device.

Not really, its better to have a similar version setup, 4.1.2 with 4.1.2, over 4.0.4 with 4.1.2.

but there is miui v4 for 4.0.4 and v4 JB for 4.1.2 and you know stock is more stable

Introduction :
Team Win Recovery Project 2.3, or twrp2 for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. We started from the ground up by taking AOSP recovery and loading it with the standard recovery options, then added a lot of our own features. It’s a fully touch driven user interface – no more volume rocker or power buttons to mash. The GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able. You can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.

Alpha 2 :
Fixed graphic issues. BML support not introduced.
Stable 1 :
BML support, USB mount fixed. We have a completely working build.
I suggest to make this zip at first to install into boot, in this stage it will protect many users from problems - when it don't will work the and he wont to get android back they just need to restore back from main recovery, or flash the kernel back. It will look like the phone will have two recovery.

I know. But with TWRP, you cannot do that. It uses a different way of handling the partitions. So flashing the recovery on boot partition may cause a brick.

I hope you don't will angry, here is a working version witch firekernel (Most problems are caused by the broken kernel) https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1664131/TWRP_a1_recovery.zip but note for testing I suggest to use this version https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1664131/TWRP_a1_boot.zip it installs into boot (chose in main recovery reboot to android, to get into it), so basic do you have after this two recovery and can switch between it (but no android), to get android back just restore you backup from main recovery, or reflash you android kernel.

[TESTERS ONLY!][VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!]Project Android N For Xperia Z2

Hey everyone. It seem like on the General forum of the Android N ROM for the Z2 has been closed due to the overwhelming complaints about the ROM not working. So that thread remains closed until we got a working Android N ROM for the Z2!
My story...
I have been working on an Android N ROM for the Z2 since April, with success but then failure. The ROM was working on my phone but after I rebooted my phone, I got into a massive Bootloop, forcing myself to reset everything and losing the Android N ROM file on my phone. I had to downgrade to 6.0.1 again. Now I have tried again to revive the ROM, but with 4 or 5 attempts, I have failed every time. The first time it worked, I followed a ROM porting guide from somewhere on XDA, but now I have forgotten which one it was! So for now, I have closed that thread in the General forum and decided to open a new one here. Now I'm making Android N builds for the Z2 until one works, and I want as much people who would want to volunteer and help me remake and test this ROM as possible.
I will post the ROM builds here, but before I do, I need some volunteers to test and help me on this Project. All helpers will be in the credits of this Post, the original post, and in the ROM's updater-script credits.
What do I need to be a helper and tester?
To be a tester and helper you need to...
-Always be helpful.
-Be aware of certain device bricks.
-Somewhat help editing the files in the ROM to fix it.
-Use your PC to port some files or kernels.
-Have some experience with ROMS.
I will also need help with ROM link mirroring. If you want to mirror the final ROM links to other websites such as Dropbox or Drive, then you should have a strong internet connection at least. :fingers-crossed:
So let us all come together and port the Android N ROM to the Xperia Z2 and maybe later port it to other Sony devices...(Z, Z1, Z1C, ZU, ZT, Z2T, Z3+, Z5 etc.)
All volunteers should please send me a PM or comment down below, and when I have at least 5 volunteers, then we can start porting. Thanks a lot, all proud XDA members!

I know that they did, but for the people who already has an UB on there phone, they could test it first then maybe we will try and port or test it on a LB device.

I can!
I have a free 50 GB could on Mega, so I can!
Note :- if any builds reaching the 50 GB limit then the oldest build will be deleted from my could and no longer online, that's all
For more info, PM Me
Hey everybody. Thanks for volunteering but I would also need some people helping me to develop the ROM as well! For all people wanting to mirror, I really appreciate your help.

Thanks so much. You don't need to download the entire rom though. Just download the boot.img from this link: https://www.mediafire.com/folder/49i9d0n2d8mm7/Project Android N For Xperia Z2

Who's back? We're back.
CarbonROM is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project. We are dedicated to fast, stable, and feature-filled roms, honesty and communication with our users, and openness with our code. We like frequent builds, with the very latest and greatest hardware support and fixes. We strive to not only provide you with the best rom we can build, but also to give back to the Android community and our fellow developers. For us, this is about creating something we can be proud of and hope you will enjoy.
Please feel free to look, build, and use our code at CarbonROM's GitHub... and at CarbonROM Gerrit.
Disclaimer:
While we make every effort to test these builds as much as possible, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your device, family, pets, or perception of reality. We ask that you do your part to know your device and know how to recover from problems before you flash! If you have questions, ask your fellow users or ask us in #teamcarbon on freenode IRC.
Support:
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our website. Carbon FAQ
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Ask a question on our IRC channel. Connect to #teamcarbon on irc.freenode.net or click here. You'll find several other Carbon fans and usually one or more devs as well. Please be polite.

I don't have a moto mod yet, I'm waiting until the keyboard mod will be shipped in August. I just got my Moto Z but I'd like to already use a compatible custom ROM. I'd just like to be prepared when the keyboard mod arrives.

I legit have no way of testing it to make sure it works if it hasn't come out yet [emoji6] .
Should be a basic fix anyway.

Sorry, I assumed that all moto mods run on the same platform/driver, so that when one moto mod is working with it, all (future) moto mods should be supported.
Apparently that's not the case, but glad to hear it would be a basic fix.
i cant go in the web site and this rom support jbl mod ?
no jbl speaker mod dont work
I'll get those mod changes merged in soon enough.

Whenever you try to download it, it gives you a 404?
Can you try this again for me as I successfully downloaded the latest version.

I merged in the battery mod changes. Efficiency mode works as expected. One thing I've noticed is battery stats will show the phone is awake a significant amount of the time. Snapchat/camera apps no longer force close. I believe whenever the charge state is changed from the mod the kernel throws a wakelock that the framework interprets as "wake up."
Most likely will not have the speaker mod working right away as I'm redoing the audio policy and have nothing to test it with. I pushed a change to fix speaker audio using the backend (as originally intended). Mod zip it's included by default from now on.
Let me know if you have any other issues.

You need to flash an su add-on in recovery.
E.g. Supersu, magisk, lineages.
Sent from my XT1650-03 using Tapatalk
It would be be better prerooted.
When I do flash Supersu, magisk it ends up deleting imei information on Moto Z.
