STEP 1: This is how, watch this vid :youtube.com/watch?v=1GcofdDWatw So after watching and doing everything on this video, upgrade it.
STEP 2: Follow these:
Note: Do these steps carefully:
Ok, so i have installed merruk 2.0, then i upgraded it to merruk 2.5, so I can overclock it to 1.2ghz. Here's how:
1. Backup your data using nandroid, or....
2. you will need a file named ext4 converter.zip, it's about 6.70mb (search up the file download)
3. Go to clockwork recovery mode and flash the .zip file
4. reboot
5. install a cpu control app, so you can set it to 1.2ghz
6. Done !
Another note: When you get stuck on samsung logo,:
1. remove battey, then put it back again
2. go to CWM
3 go to backup and restore, select restore
4 you can only restore, if you made a nandroid backup earlier before flashing the ext4 converter.zip
Have fun
Hope I helped you

without PC?
there is a very big chanse the phone will brick because a tiny mistake in the installation process could brick the phone,
better to have access to odin to revive your phone,
unless if you are really good at this and is sure that all steps are smooth for you,
then go ahead

Its okay. CuZ when I updated my sgy to merruk kernel 2.5, I was still in 2.0 so I just flashed it cuz its easier and I backed up my system using nandroid

Wait actually I used Odin in installing merruk2.0
Then I just flashed ext4 converter.zip. Just copy paste the YouTube link in my previous reply.
Please give me thanks.

Yes, You can restore in from CWM. But you need a nandroid backup of the firmware you need to flash in order to restore it from CWM. To create that, suppose if you have just flashed DDLE1, dont install any apps / change any settings and reboot to CWM . In that go to backup and restore and click backup. Thats it , now you have a nandroid backup of stock DDLE1. Next time, restore the same using restore option in CMW.
You need to do these steps yourself. There are very few uploaded here as odin flashing is more reliable and easy that CWM restoring.
Heres one of them if you dont want to do it yourself (It isnt exactly stock but serves the purpose) :

Well, no one cares to upload it as odin is better. You must do it yourself. Its pretty easy just follow my previous post. I dont have one too.
Actually i had backed up my stock rom, using cwm.. Now i m on creed but not able to restore the stock rom.. After restorng and rebooting, it gets stuck on sgy logo.. So i am asking for a link for a stock rom.. And i read the odin method.. I googled it.. But i found diff methods in diff sites.. So confused.. can u post a link for a propr odin method..

This is why CWM restore is not recommended. It often gets stuck on boot logo. Odin is easy and doesnt cause any problems.
Well. You said you want other method than odin. I explained it in 2nd post. Now youre asking about odin? What exactly do you want here -.-

Need help on installing cm9

Hi i'm new to xda. Sorry if this posted at the wrong section. If so, can anyone tell how to move it to the correct section
Anyways back on topic. BTW my phone is the gt-p1000n(latin version), android 2.3.3 stock. I tried installing CM9 by following a guide from cyanogenmod's guide to flashing cm9 for the galaxy tab (sorry unable to post link) . Everything went smoothly until it rebooted after flashing the kernel with cwm, it got stuck at the boot screen. I decided to hold the power button until it turned off. So i tried going to CWM and it worked but i seem to be unable to install the CM9 zip. It said something about status 7 error when installing it .
Can anyone be willing to tell me what i did wrong with the procedures. Thanks for your help btw. And sorry for my bad English, it isn't my native language.

Tried it but it didn't work . Still got the error status 7
You need to install overcome rom as well.
I know it is incompatible because the touch screen driver is different,
But only need that so that cm9 installer thinks you are P1000.
So flash
- overcome kernel
- overcome rom
- cm9 for p1n
- gapps
You can skip installing overcome rom by editing the updater script too and remove the assert line at the top and zip it back.
Only if you know what you are doing.

Maybe you must update the ClockWorkMod Recovery to 5.5.x.x version.
To Anyone if you can't find the Overcome kernel.
I've uploaded the Overcome kernel for you
Good luck from Thailand

Seeing so many problems, I think you should restock.
Do you have stock rom?
If not, I still believe you can use overcome method.
Don't worry about the touch driver not compatible. You will be mostly on Odin and on recovery.
You just want to use the gb stock safe to restock with pit selected and repartition.
Then quickly flash overcome kernel and then boot to recovery and flash cm9.

Just to be sure, the cm9 download link for the gt-p1000n is at 'get.cm/?device=p1n' right?
yes that is for P1000N
Not sure why, but for some odd reason Odin can't detect my tab when it's on download mode
No device added in the message box or no model number. If no model number it is normal.

Odin didn't want to recognize mine either, but if you plug the tab, and close and open Odin, it should detect the com port.
I had a similar problem in the end i installed a rom i downloaded from Humberos's website, jus google Humberos and its the first link, there are the download links at like his 4th post. Good luck

to OP - you can't move it, just report yourself to moderators
and I also would like to ask how you supercharged the JB? I always encounter bootloop after pushing the patched services.jar - but tried that on XXLPY and gave up after that, so I use just 99supercharger.sh at boot and that gives me according to v6 script - 50%

Yes I have installed in jb

3) run the script as su
4) select exit if asked for the service.jar patch since only applicable for ics
5) select option 9 and follow the steps and exit from the script manager
6) reboot and enjoy.

LOL, I have solution for that too. Do backup of services.jar, and push it in system/framework in recovery. Total Commander + ADB plugin works just great for such things.
For next time you mess something up.

[GUIDE] [UPDATED] Dual Booting on KitKat/JB ROM's [NOOB Friendly] [GT-I9100]

Welcome to the NOOB Friendly GUIDE to DUAL BOOT KitKat/JellyBean Roms on Samsung Galaxy S2!!
I know there already many guides on how to dual boot, but I found them confusing and wanted to clean out the process
Prerequisites :
1) Need Atleast 2.5 GB free on Internal Storage
2) Download the 1st Rom (Primary Rom) and save it on any storage on your phone
3) Download Latest Dorimanx Test Kernel v10.xx.xx from Here - http://www.dorimanx.com/beta-test/
4) Download the 2nd Rom (Secondary Rom) and save it on any storage on your phone
Steps :
1)Make sure you are on a KitKat Compatible Recovery
2) Flash any KitKat/JB ROM (along with GAPPS etc.) you want as your Primary ROM
3) Reboot and check weather the ROM is working fine.
4) Reboot to Recovery
5) Flash Dorimanx v10.43.xx Kernel you downloaded earlier
6) Go to advanced in CWM recovery and Reboot Recovery
7) Go to dual boot options in new CWM and select Wipe 2nd ROM data/cache (takes 5-10 minutes)
8) Then select Wipe 2nd ROM dalvik-cache
9) After that Install 2nd ROM from Internal SD card or External SD card and flash the 2nd ROM.
10) Reboot System and Enjoy
NOTE : FOR Updating Roms check next post
PLEASE HIT THE THANKS BUTTON :good:

2) Wipe Cache and Dalvik Cache
3) Install ROM update Zip file (followed by GAPPS etc.)
4) Reflash Dorimanx Kernel
5) Reboot
6) Done
Updating the Secondary ROM :
1) Download the Updated ROM Zip File to your phone
2) Reboot into recovery and go to dual boot options
3) Wipe 2nd ROM Dalvik Cache
7) Install the ROM update Zip file ( along with GAPPS etc.)
8) Reboot and Done
Use WhatsApp on both ROM's Simultaneously
1) Make sure you have WhatsApp properly running on your Primary ROM
2) Install Titanium Backup from Play Store on Primary ROM
3) Open Titianium Backup and Backup WhatsApp
4) Boot to your Secondary ROM and install WhatsApp from PlayStore (Only Install dont open the App)
5) Install Titianium Backup in Secondary ROM also and Open it
6) Restore WhatsApp Data via Titanium Backup
7) Done - Now you can use WhatsApp on both ROM without any problems

Good going Ma8:good:
Whooooa :good::good::good:
i update my paches sometimes
But users, please be carrefull , as OP mentioned, only take META-INF folder from my paches, not system folder which have only MALI V2 lib to dualboot KK roms and JB SAMMY STOCK 4.1.2 with DorimanX 8.43vXX, another personal method i use.
From OP we have :
4) Copy META-INF folder from the patch you downloaded to the 2nd ROM Zip by using drag and drop (without extracting)
thanks.

I guess the process will largely be the same.. But first we need to check weather Sammy is Mali v2 or v3...if its v3 then we can follow the same process..if not we will have to downgrade the KitKat ROM to v2

It also works with 4.4 and 4.3 DualBooting, since 4.3 can also use MaliV3 (and also stated on DorimanX Downloads) but use only DorimanX's 10.x Kernel only for those two... Nevah Go Low Bro...
