I'm have idea, maybe stupid but can be really.
On Debian and my Ubuntu if you don't have HWA drivers a lot of plugins and affects don't work, Englihtenment it is new psychic plugin who control windows on Tizen. If you make a HWA driver, or if you port open drivers from full Linux based system and include this on Tizen that problem gone
Also you can try port Alsa sound menager from ARM Ubuntu for N900 drivers from it can work too on Tizen
Sorry for my bad English :C

Is there any chance you could dump logs and paste them here? I dont know what debugging functionality is available but its the best place to start

[Q] Anyone working on miui 4.0?

Now that we have a pretty good android 4.0 port, is anyone working on a port of miui 4?
I think this is 4.0 based http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1481168

Sorry, my mistake. I saw video on youtube with this rom, and there was android 4.0.3 in settings.
MIUI au (australia) have a desire z port of miui 4.0, but from my previous experience of porting, I am not the person to port it. I cant even get stockwells script to work properly. Maybe I will try revisit it when I set ubuntu up in virtualbox again. It might be possible to pull files from Aurora and use the script with them.
Just got to get GB installed when Huawei finally release it for atmel screens and then can play again.

I have tried (and failed) to hack/port using this guide (base ROM using dzo's Aurora, and desire z MIUI 4 for port files):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1499411
Every attempt was just a bootloop - with adb in recovery, all ported files appeared to be in /system with the right perms, but still no go..
Anyone else care to have a go?

I have bricked 1 device trying to port (not with this guide), but you can try with this guide:
Porting ROM
It might work. It'll make an "universal" port, which might work.

Ubuntu Mobile - Development

Hello Everybody,
Many of you must be familiar with Ubuntu Mobile, Ubuntu's latest project in the field of mobiles. Now the question is- Is Ubuntu supported on HTC HD2?
The Answer to the question is- Yes. As explained in the Linked video(See Below) by UBUNTU Co-founder, Ubuntu works on all the devices which can run Android. If you're not sure what I am saying, please see the video, seek it to 20:49 if you don't want to watch the whole video. It is based on Android Kernel only.
See the video here- http://youtu.be/cpWHJDLsqTU
(already Seeked)- http://youtu.be/cpWHJDLsqTU?t=20m49s
So, I am here with a new challenge, and that is the Porting Of Ubuntu Mobile. I hope you all are ready for it! :good:
I will be waiting for a Native SD Release!
Regards
Arun Wadhwa
CEO, Themegastar1 Technologies
Ubuntu is Linux, Android is Linux, nothing new there. 'Supported' is vague. I didn't see the part in the video where he said, and we will provide drivers and support for your 3 year old phone

Yes, but the kernel is similar (Android just misses out ALSA support). Java just provides the UI.
Ubuntu mobile for the Desire is up: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2165711 :good:
OP, i am just wondering u are porting "Ubuntu Mobile" or "Ubuntu Touch"?
You must acknowledge that "Ubuntu Mobile" is for "x86" CPUs, "Ubuntu Touch" is for "ARM" CPUs.
And currently, i want to port this, too. May be u will be faster
is Ubuntu Touch pure linux without dalvik VM? is it better for that?
Yes, currently, Ubuntu Touch is using the base android.
It uses its HAL, and dalvik VM, etc are not needed.
Ubuntu Touch is supposed to run on CM10.1, and currently, i found a source of CM10.1 for HTC HD2.
Compilation is still in progress, i met lots of errors, but lets hope we will success
I am going to update any progress here.
2013-03-11: This log has been created.
2013-03-17: After lots of tries and debugging, CM10.1 has been successfully compiled. No BCMDHD support. I'll try to port it to ubuntu tonight or tomorrow.
2013-03-22: Way to achieve ubuntu on the htc hd2 has been found. Due to my school tests start from today, development will be slow/suspended for about a week.
2013-03-24: Base android has been successfully ported into the HD2, although it is a bit slow/buggy, it is still acceptable.
2013-03-24: UbuntuTouch rootfs OK! No gui yet, need sometime for debugging.
2013-04-03: I just figured out that everything i done was wrong, i should use my custom android-init instead of the old init, debugging for the new init.
R: Ubuntu Mobile - Development
so Ubuntu mobile can't run on HD2? just x86?
are there any differences between the two distro?

You know since the departure of my old time favorite phone and platform, Nokia and Symbian, I have been forever lost. Yes, even Android despite open-ability and usability, one is still tied to Google. This Ubuntu announcement has been the most epic announcement ever. Can't wait for a port to this Desire Z and vanilla Ubuntu phone goodness. Imagine Nokia N900 next gen with linux?

Who can help? How to install ROOT on SGP321 build 10.1.1.A.253 ?
Suitable ROM for SO-03E
Hello,
I have a Japanese version of the Sony XTZ (SO-03E) with 32gb, wifi, 4G LTE, 1Seg tv tuner (?).
I have been searching for a suitable firmware to flash over the stock. The Cyanogenmod firmwares fail to install through CWM due to the difference in hardware numbers (all of the CM 10 pollux builds are coded for the european units it would seem). Clockworkmod just states that I don't have the SGP### model.
Any guidance for the ROM you have listed or a point in the right direction?
Thanks,
Devices:
HP Touchpad 32gb firesale running CM9 ICS
Sony Xperia Tablet Z (SO-03E) running stock Sony/Docomo FW .269 :crying:
CM10 for Tablet Z WiFi SGP311
I have been looking all over for a working root and recovery that will run CM10 for this thing and I cant believe there is NOTHING out there.
I did find a 1 click root solution that worked, but the only recovery I could find that would even boot up was some strange duel recovery that did'nt even work with CM10... Ugggg...
Anyone else have any luck with this tablet?
Hey, I'm a new Xperia tablet Z user...
So I'm going to build my ROM for Xperia tablet Z (LTE), But the problem is that I don't know much about the Xperia devices... As what I can see is that xperia tablet Z is using same CPU, GPU and Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8064 as nexus 4...
But confusing part is the recovery. Isn't it possible to use recovery as recovery.img instead of including it into the zImage...? I don't want to break anything so I am not going to mess with this device.

Hi, i try to install the adb driver for my xperia tablet z manually (windows 8 64bit) but i dont know wich one is the right one...
I have a "Sony sa0101/Sony sa0103/Sony sa0105 and Sony sa0106/7/8/9) 7 different drivers...
With my Xperia Z i found a Guide wich Driver to use, with my Tablet z there is no guide wich driver to use...
I hope someone can Help... thx in advance
EDIT: Driver is "Sony sa0107"
If you have Problems with the ADB Driverinstall on Windows 8 use option to manually select drivers from the list on your Computer and look for ony sa0107

You won't find that here. Still.
Secondly, how many more times, and in how many more threads are you going to ask this question??
You have already been given a few suggestions as to what might work, but you have failed to give any feedback as to whether they do. So I can only assume you haven't tried it And you expect somebody else to do all the hard work and testing for you.

I just installed it with multirom too. Whch build do you use? i'm using r198, apps don't seem to be able to communicate that well, i can't change the wallpaper, or add images in a message and such. Also, i can't change app permissions as the options are all grey. how is your experience?
