Disable N7 from offering to log me into every Google webpage - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there a way to disable the N7 from logging me in and offering to log me in to every Google re-seed webpage and service? I like to share my N7, but I don't like that if you open Chrome to Gmail.com, it will log into the Gmail service automatically or offer to do so. I can use a security app like App Protector to lock down the Gmail APP, but I don't want to disable Chrome entirely. I just don't want people to be able to use Chrome on the N7 to be able to log into Gmail, G+, etc.
How can I do this?

UPDATE: Better, but still no solution.
I found that Chrome has a settings (tap menu, then Settings, then tap your email address listed at the top of the menu immediately below "Basics"). There you will find an option called "Auto sign-in (sign into to Google sites automatically)." By un-ticking this box, it no longer offer to log me into Gmail, merely because I visit gmail.com (or mail.google.com).
This is only partially helpful. Anyone who knows this can simply open the settings and tick the box and then get into my Gmail. The solution is to password-protect the Settings menu in Chrome. Devs, I'd pay for that.

google hotseat

i dont know what i did but when i open my browser (any and all browser), google search page load up. I install new and different browser and google search page load up on it too. On the web address it say "google.com/m?client=ms-{CUD}&source=android-home-hotseat". Any suggestion to get rid of this?
Go into settings and change your homepage. Set it to whatever you would like, www.yahoo.com or facebook or whichever.

Possible to disable Chrome browser automatic login to google account?

Hi
I dont want people to be able to type mail, google, com in Chrome browser on my Nexus 7 and be able to access my mail account or other google services. Chrome browser settings allow you unlink your google account connection but you can simply relink it.
I use "smart app protector+" to lock apps i dont want other people to get into but Chrome browser would be nice to have open.
Any suggestions?
thx

I did uninstall chrome and logged in to my gmail account from within stock web browser and still when I go to bookmarks, it only shows "local".
When I press "local" I get nothing but local!
I even cleared cache and data and re-did the same steps but to no avail!
Any help?

Why did Google exclude/remove Exchange Service apk from 6P?

I was able to set up Exchange account for Gmail on Nexus 6 but don't even have this option on 6P. I Googled this issue and someone said that I need Google's Exchange Service apk but it's not pre-installed on 6P (definitely was on 6). I downloaded one from mirror they provided and it seems to work now.

I actually could swear that I added this account to my phone as soon as I got it but now this account is simply missing (like the guy said in the last post)
Anyway, why did Google remove this option? Is there some issue? Is this the only workaround or is there a better/right way to do this?
Would recommend you to try Nine Exchange on Play Store instead!
My work has all of the stupid policies enabled and Nine just works wonderful without the need to password protect my whole phone aswell as I just have to password protect the app instead. With the Nexus Imprint you can also open the app with your fingerprint
+1 for Nine. Have been using it for a few years, it's by far the best Exchange client.
I think Inbox might also be an option, but haven't tried it.
Trying to stay with Gmail as I have had no issues until Google removed this support by default for some reason. It works good now as I manually added it.
I really like to have all my emails under same app and I'm used to Gmail.
Does Nine also add events to Google Calendar and integrates this account into Do Not Disturb Automatic Rules? That's another thing I love about Google's integration of Exchange into OS.
It's just strange that Google kept saying that Android are work "friendly" now and then they remove the "native" support for Exchange.
Nine ... Best money I've ever spent on an app. Truly Enterprise level Exchange email client for Android. Their support is phenomenal too. They've personally addressed multiple bugs and enhancement requests I've submitted.

Umm, my 6P on 6.0.1 has Exchange Services already installed. Settings -> Apps -> Three dot menu - Show system. Scroll down, its there. Maybe you didn't know how to add an Exchange account to Gmail? Gmail -> Side menu -> Little down arrow next to your Gmail account -> Add account -> Exchange.
Guess I don't see why you had to download some APK for this.
+1 for Nine, been using it forever. And yes, it integrates with Google Calendar.
Another ringing endorsement for Nine here as well. Phenomenal app and you can still fingerprint unlock the phone, as it's software-level security over device-level (your choice)
And I believe the reason the 'Email' app is gone is because they want us to use Gmail.

As does mine. I'm currently syncing my exchange account through gmail.

Interesting. I definitely did NOT have Exchange Services APK (I specifically checked and I remember it on Nexus 6). And no, I did not have the Exchange option in Gmail until I side-loaded that APK.
Could someone please check if this APK is "uninstallable"? That's the only thing I can think of..... that I manually uninstalled it when I got the phone. At the moment I can only disable it but since I side-loaded it, who knows how it's supposed to be by default..... hmmm, that's actually interesting that a side-loaded app can only be disabled now LOL.
Anyway, it works and I am happy.
Thanks!

YouTube app - account switching

This is more of a rant than anything else, as I am pretty confident there is no solution until Google fix this themselves.
But...
Why can't they make it easier to switch accounts???
Both my wife and I use the Shield, and both our accounts are listed in the Android TV settings.
To switch accounts you have to go down on the left menu, sign out, which brings you to a non-signed in page of YT, go back down to accounts, select sign in, and select the right account.
Come on Google, look at Netflix for example! Much simpler process!!
